Is Sethos an AMAZING Electro DPS? 

Did you notice Sethos' damage dropping after 4 CAs? During recording I was mostly thinking I was just losing buffs like VV, but what I didn't realize until after I edited this video was that Sethos' 700% EM passive is lost after 5s or 4 shots hitting. Which means the indefinite CA playstyle isn't ideal compared to hybrid CA/burst playstyle. So the "proper" way to play a high ER 4pc TF Sethos is to do 3 or 4 CAs (depends on your energy situation), then use skill into burst and do N2 combos with walk canceling. But this also means someone like Baizhu applying dendro off field may be notably better since quicken would need to be refreshed before bursting on Sethos with Kirara (though you could maybe run a normal Wanderers Troupe build and swap to Kirara in the ~3s skill downtime). Regardless, I could still clear the abyss with the non-ideal CA spam playstyle, so how much does it _really_ matter? That will probably depend on the level of your account investment. And I also definitely prefer the CA spam playstyle for OW still. Originally I was planning this video to have Sethos @ level 80 and seeing if he felt fun enough to earn being level 90, but then I realized he had enough interesting ways to be played (such as the high ER build I used this video) that he ended up being a much more satisfying unit to play than I expected. Lastly, for any spreadsheet impacters out there, Sethos IS amazing by my personal standards. I'm not claiming he is the best electro carry in the game, but he has far exceeded my expectations, and is worthy of being called "amazing."

There are too many content creators calling him Garbage and that he's just a worse electro yoimiya.. sure he's not as strong as like C6 Gaming but he's one of the 4-star DPS that doesn't depend on his constellation too much ( looking at you gaming ) I'm glad you like his playstyle and actually took the time to learn about his kit, there's too many people doom posting on Sethos and Clorinde, so I'm glad you're not one of them and for that, you've once again gained my respect

Im at the point i really dont care about power level and just want to build fun characters (like Freminet), so I'd love to build and play Sethos. I was sold on him from the moment we met him in Cyno's story quest and I got a feel for his personality. I guess I'll just hope he dops randomly from the standard banner somehow since I'm skipping these banners for Furina

Sethos has a fascinating kit, so I figured I could count on Soluna to explore his different playstyles, teams and builds. Pleasantly surprised to see how fun his fast CAs look, so thanks for offering some options for continuing that. I did notice that he loses the big passive bonus damage after 4 shots, but while running around in the overworld, 4 shots is plenty anyway and after 15sec that bonus will come back. (Probably will use fav for this overworld play so I don't have to feed him energy much) Good to know about the walk cancels, for getting out more electro infused shots when using his burst. I’m a Sethos Main and i was so lucky to get him C6. At the moment I play him with Furina, Nahida and Baizhu. The Weapon i use on him is Hunters Path. Thank you for the video, i will try the animation canceling. :)

Sethos seems like such an interesting character! I really want to build him after I finish building alhaitham and prefarming furina!

This is the first time since I started where I immediately LOVED a 4 star. Gaming is cool but I have wayyy too many pyro characters built. As a controller player my favorite bow characters are Tighnari and Yoimiya, so I guess it was fate. While a bit unconventional my overworld team rn is alhaitham, xingqui, Sethos and Clorinde.

I personally used electro traveller to solve his er needs and it felt veryyyy good to me

Sethos is amazing as long as you don’t use his normal charge attack until you got C6. Simply use his elemental skill and burst, remember to apply other elements for elemental reaction for quicker burst charging. And elemental mastery build is best for him.

You see I was actually thinking of building him with Zhongli and Nahida instead, similar to Tighnari's team. I've grown use to Zhongli not even for the shield but the unconditional resistance shred lol

I LOVE using him in Quickbloom with Furina, Nahida and Baizhu. I have an excellent WT, Hunter's Path build for him and my rotations go like 2 CA - E - 2 CA - E then any downtime can just be used to trigger Dendro cores instead.

I’ve been building sethos and he’s now almost fully built but I’ve never considered a team and now I’m watching this I’ve realised my exact neuvi team is one of the best sethos team lmaoo (baizhu/fischl/furina)

dori c4 is actually so good for him with nahida and furina , even tho you dont have a shield the constant healing and energy makes it up for it , also c6 sara with elegy and instructor is absolutely busted if you play him w CA playstyle

honestly, my fav genshin youtuber. He doesn’t scream and he doesn’t add flashy vfx or loud music. He def deserves more recognition!!!

FWIW, I don't feel like building a 3* weapon, so I'll just keep him on Cloudforged. And I have been saving cracked Wanderer's Troupe pieces for over a year, and that set is seamless on him.

Jeez I love your vids❤ Your voice, idk why, but it's so pleaseant to listen to and I like how you try and think of how old characters or worse character can be used, like for example C6 Candace with Arlechinno

I run him with Fischl, Collie, and Baizhu since I only have him on my experimental f2p account and I don't have Kirara. Baizhu alone just doesn't feel like it's enough dendro application and Collei is actually my next fav dendro support. My opinion is that he's like Yanfei, an overall solid unit that get's better with cons and with investment can be powerful. Powerful enough to out dps a 5 star, no but he'll still carry you. I'm also running him with Slingshot as, apparently that's his second best weapon after Hunters Path and performs much better than the event bow, so very f2p friendly.

So far level 80 C1 sethos and he’s my favorite character since Gaming. Such a fun play-style and cool design, who cares what anyone else says the abyss is so easy i’m still clearing it with him, nahida, fischl, and baizhu as a team. It’s refreshing!

Got him to C6 unintentionally while pulling for Clorinde (guess who’s a C2 Keqing haver!!); haven’t paid much attention to him besides admiring his character but this showcase might’ve just changed my mind! His gameplay looks really satisfying and fun.

I just wish his cons fixed the extremely tight passive buff time he has… when he loses his passive his damage drops to hell

I have c1 Sethos and plan to team him with Tignari, Fischl, and Yaoyao. I also have skyward harp so I plan on giving that to him as a weapon. He looks like a fun character so I want to build him at some point.

If you switch fishl for electro Mc. You can do a lot of the same rhings without needing a specific artifact set of weapon. It will probably end up being a worst twam over all since fishl is busted but its more new player friendly

I think if you manage to get c4 kirara she might get higher on the ranking of off field dendro sup, she still doesn't heals but the shields cooldown match up perfectly so

I lost my clorinde's 50/50 to keqing at 84 pity😢. So, in rage i build sethos well now he does 28k charged attack. I pre-farmed everything for clorinde artifacts, talent mets, books etc. Well i think It's time to quit😓

First thing I thought when I saw his kit was sethos tighnari quickswap with like fischl baizhu but there are two major issues with that 1. I don't have sethos 2. I don't have tighnari But I was wondering why no one else tried that, both their up times are low enough to allow a secondary dps and if you like one of their play styles, you should like the others aswell

have you tried c6 Diona with intructror set as replacement for zhongli. On paper it might seem a good replacement as she provide em, heal, and shiel

Just saw the update stream/pinned comment, but while listening to this I was wondering - why build so much ER to stay on-field for the 6 shots instead of swapping to re-swirl and re-shield at 3-4? I.E... Fischl E/Q, Kazuha E, Kirara E, Sethos E-C3 (E?), Kazuha Q, Kirara Q-E, Sethos E-C3 (or burst here?), repeat. Sorry if that's redundant, I'm a little lost on what the "main" charge attack playstyle people are describing is exactly.

this character is probably the only bow characters whose CA playstyle is actually good (except the not being able to walk when fully charged that shit is whack)
