FYI I think the reason the Kenkis didn’t move in that second attempt is because you used Kazuha’s skill. I’ve seen some others use it at the start to confuse the cryo one’s AI to prevent it from dashing. Think it has something to do with the height, so other characters that go into the air might be able to do it too.

As if xingqiu isn’t the best in slot for cyno after furina 😢

@@polychromaa thats not quickbloom anymore, xingqiu applies too much hydro for quicken and i did not pull cyno just to make him a hyperbloom slave 😤

@@_mako a niche "fix" is going double dendro when you have xingqiu, granted you'd need more ER on cyno, but having two dendro applicators can counteract xingqius hydro app

@@Solunerra I found the duo completely on accident, they were on my friendship farm team together and I liked how her hydro app and buff worked with alhaithem so I started doing some play testing. It felt good not to have to use zingqiu/yelan and I guess now furina.

Yeah the game is highly contextual, which is why Ive always focused on having some kind of idea and doing my best to work around that idea. Oh, and I still prefer Candace over Yelan in single target. XQ is still relevant because of the dmg reduction and interruption resistance, but the ability to have shorter rotations makes Candace a more enjoyable option in single target for me, so I just dont think I care to use Yelan with Arle lol

@@SolunerraHow well does Candace fare compared to yelan or xinqiu in single target? Not considering defensive utility (C2 Arle is pretty much an integrated xinqiu defensive util)

IT's not just that. If you are like me who uses quickbloom on one team and also uses arle, if candace just was a second xq, then that is already amazing enough.

I should play around with Candace a bit with Noelle. Ive been using Yunjin/Noelle/Furina/Yelan when I last played Noelle, but I like the idea of Candace instead. Only problem is Yelan's damage potential is much higher than Candace in a double hydro team, and you dont have vape to give additional scaling value to having hydro, so it comes more down to raw multiplier performance. But it still may work pretty well and be satisfying to play

@@naitikc2668 for xing/yelan yes, their abilities should be able to clear the pyro aura before swapping to kazuha. not sure about candace though. in abyss if her skill misses one of the enemies, you're gonna have to reset or skip kazuhas burst.

​​@@mizukichan999Candace doesn't have enough hydro app sadly, iirc XQ's skill has no ICD so he can apply hydro 2 times with just one skill and get rid of the pyro aura, and even if he does have ICD, you still usually use sac sword or his ult lasts so long that you can use it from the start (Edit: And he also has his rain swords that float around the character too), he has so much hydro app for some stupid reason lol Yelan has her E and fast charged atk so it's enough hydro too Anyways, Candace's dmg isn't as high as XQ, even less as Yelan, so you don't really need to shred hydro res, and the extra hydro app is nice with Kazuha, but that doesn't matter as much in AoE scenarios, which is Candace's strength over XQ and Yelan, and the reason as to why the combo seems so smooth with enough ER. In ST scenarios tho, trying to infuse Kazuha's burst could be decent, but as you saw, if the boss doesn't have an annoying mechanic as Coppelius then it's easy to vape a lot of hits anyway :)

The NA attack buff would help get some more damage out of her infused NA string after each E and, assuming you have enough hydro application, Candace should be able to help generate enough crystallize shards for Navia to have 6 every E cast. Maybe not the strongest buffer for her but should definitely be doable without too much jank.

Not just usable, this is a “meta” use case! Its at its best in contexts like the current abyss, but due to the ability to have shorter rotations it can be even better in single target than Yelan is

@@Solunerra she is now lvl 80 6 11 11 talents with r5 fav lvl 80 too, 4piece emblem hp% hp% hp% but has 60% less er than yours at 180% :D

They have permanent aura on them, so they are useless to test with

Sunfire plunge as in Xianyun/Jean/Candace/Bennett?

@@Solunerra yess !!! The rotation goes like this! Candace skill, Xianyun skill and burst, to Bennett skill and burst, Jean skill, Candace skill and burst, Jean burst, then squeeze as many plunges with Candace in the next 8 seconds as possible. Then finish with Candace skill (she really needs to squeeze in as many skills as possible) Caution: The timing is REALLY tight and you really can afford to waste a second of that sun fire uptime. So you'll have to execute the rotation as fast as possible. it'll be violent keyboard mashing 💀 And you need to overlap Bennett and jean burst rather well. Bennett's burst has a leap forward on cast, and jean's is direct deploy (and is slightly shorter) that's why start with Bennett's. (Also so you can remove the pyro with Jean skill to apply hydro with Candace then swirl it with the burst) Build details: Xianyun has maximized ATK, 2p shiminawa 2p gladiator. Triple attack with as much ER in substats. Bennett same old boken da broken. Noblesse and high base ATK weapon (really the highest, Candace needs that ATK desperately. Lvl 13 burst is almost mandatory) Jean has max EM and with favonious on VV set. (With three healers on the team, it's better to invest in her DMG rather than healing. and in my testing the good old swirl build the best role consolidation) Candace needs to have R5 favonious to be able to proc it twice in her on field window (she desperately needs the ER). Artifacts are EM, Hydro, Crit rate with maximum Crit DMG/ATK in substats (ER and EM are nice too, obviously). and in my testing, the best artifact set is: 2p heart of depth 2p nymph (because she'll be lacking in DMG bonus buffs) Or mix and match 2p hydro DMG bonus and 2p EM (or even 2p EM 2p EM. ATK sands is better in this case) So.. as you see it's a really packed build and requires some REALLY insane artifact quality and multiple R5 favonious weapons to keep up with the ER without having to go for ER sands. Buuuut leave it to Soluna to adopt niche and gimmicky but fun builds for underplayed characters. Hahaha

Maybe if I break its shield but having to deal with the shield and deal with the energy drain is frustrating. I may mess around with fighting it before it gets its shield up I suppose

Yeah thats the same issue I had with Rocky, but you can mitigate that issue a bit with Kazuhas grouping. In the abyss runs you can see instances of Kazuha grouping and breaking poise on the enemy, and when I use Candaces skill on a poise broken enemy it doesnt knock them back (poise broken enemies dont get knocked back again), so it wasnt an issue. I think the local legends have this issue because Kazuha doesnt break their poise first, and instead Candace does. So right now in most contexts I dont think it is that problematic, but could be worse if they release enemies with higher and higher poise

Without C6 you only get application from Candace when swapping so unfortunately it becomes very clunky. But you could still at least vape a few hits with Arle and Candace C6 plus you hage flexibility to swap to Candace to use her skill, so its still fine for OW imo

Yunjin instead of Candace? I dont think it would be unusable or anything but Yunjin is really awkward build wise as solo geo, with ER needs going up towards 270%, and her synergy with Arle isnt that strong because she gives a flat dmg buff. But Ive used Yunjin with Arle on my polearm account and its not terrible, its just definitely going to be much worse than using XQ/Yelan

If u like her C0 Candace can still work but Yelan or Xinqiu would be better I think, Yelan add a lot more more dmg and Xinqiu give too much utility for it to be matched by a C0 Candace

It work only with c6 candace because her c6 give additionnal aoe hydro application with normal attacks.

You can technically still do it, but you only get hydro application from the swap. Which means without C6 you will be able to do something like vape Arles first couple hits, swap out, swap back, and vape a few more, but then its done. Its not great, tbh. You definitely need C6 Candace for it to feel good imo, because the hydro application from doings NAs is what brings it all together. BUT if you really like Candace and arent worried about vaping every hit in abyss or whatever then it still does something.

Yeah, whats silly is how many times it seems like theyve gotten close to having damage dummies. The sumeru desert turtles, boxing ring in fontaine prison, local legends all felt like missed opportunities. At this point I just want a local legend on a normal sized arena that doesnt get knocked around and is just very tanky without any gimmicks lol

Yeah I tend to try the same generally lol, just depends how much effort I want to put in and if I care to optimize stuff. With strong teams (such as the team in this video) I generally dont find it necessary to optimize to be able to clear abyss, so it just comes down to if I am enjoying trying to have the fastest clear possible. If we get another attack buffer in the future I will definitely replace Bennett in this team though lol

Yeah Ive never claimed before Arle that Candace C6 was “meta,” but she is with Arlecchino. And as you say, she’s acceptable in a general sense. Of course she isnt as universally useful as XQ/Yelan/Furina, but imo thats kinda absurd to expect of a hydro 4 star when XQ exists already, so its best to look at the unique aspects to Candaces kit, and she has a lot of unique stuff going on that differentiates her, which is why we she ended up being so good with Arle

Its mostly linked to my polearm only account. She was a hydro polearm who despite everyone desparaging her kit ended up being very very useful for the account. But if you want more specifics, I really like her art design, and kit design wise I find infusions very fun. Giving melee units a hydro infusion is inherently interesting, even if its not that useful very often because XQ exists. Other than that, I really really like her gimmick of applying hydro when swapping characters. I think a five star version of Candace wouldnt have had a limit of 3 instances of swap hydro damage, and could make for very interesting teams. Swapping characters is the most fundamental combat mechanic in the game, and its rare there are aspects to characters kits that actively work around that. I believe Chiori and Candace are the only ones that directly have an effect related to switching. Oh and of course Candace has AoE hydro, and this seapping gimmick means it is AoE hydro application that has a high degree of player control, including the ability to frontload her application. All in all, I think Candace has a lot of interesting things in her kit, and is a fairly well rounded unit at C6, but she kinda got screwed over without C6 in her base kit and 4 star power level stat limitations, imo
