You are correct, but being a yes man is also the reason why he has not been able to implement a system of play. Keefe knew last season when he had to apologize to Marner through the media that he would eventually get fired. He’s already resigned to the fact that he will NEVER have control of the asylum This is Marners team

The only way Tavares becomes any use to the leafs is if he changes his style and becomes one of the best shut down centers in the league. It's what the team is missing and it's the role a veteran captain should assume.....if he is capable that is

Would the Leafs be in a better position if they had never signed Tavares? That contract created the $$$ frenzie of the Core Four?? Would there be only 1 playoff round win without him, better D and a Goalie?? IMO the Dubas effect is reverberating. I would like Tavares to go full Bergeron Mode and for Mitch to pick it up. No reason the Leafs should be losing with these guys. Thoughts Leaf Nation?

Should have fired Keefe's ass last year, at the latest this past summer. What did Treliving do? He signed Keefe to an extension, even though he hadn't earned one and he still had a year left to prove his value. What a damn rookie move by a supposedly experienced GM. Lots of blame to be put on the players, but lets be clear, the structure of the team, is garbage. Sheldon hasn't given appropriate rolls for all 4 lines, no defensive structure, it's all just put together with bubble gum. I blame the head coach for that, and to an extent the GM. Fire Keefe and take Shanny with him.

😂It was wrong to blame Dubas for Toronto's failures, and now it would be wrong to scapegoat Keefe. The respnsibility has to lie with the players themselves.

Hope so. I can't take 5 early exits in a row with him in charge. My guess is the players are sick of him and also want change. Nice to see Kara, she's terrific.

No doubt about it . Toronto in not a Stanley Cup contender . What they contend for is ,too see who makes it out on the greens 1st .sipping on pina coladas spending their hard earned regular season money. Mind you it's only 5 members really that enjoy the off season .The rest of the team needs to go get a 2nd job. Lol🤣🤣😂😅

Leafs need a new coach. Keefe has had too many years, and he's not good enough. Oilers boomed when they jettisoned an uninspiring coach. Leafs need an inspiring coach.

It's not his fault. The team has so much money tied up in 5 players not enough money for secondary scoring help upgrades at defense and goaltending. Plus the team is way to soft to make a run in the playoffs.

One win does not solve the core problem. Players try to play too cutesy of a game. They cannot clear their zone in a assertive manner, specially when they are short handed. They need bigger defensemen to help goalies to play their game. Defensive coach need to be changed as he is not getting the job done.

In the first 20m of this video, there are at least 3 instances where Hayes and Kara sound like they have lisps ("thaying" instead of "saying"). Might wanna look into those microphones or maybe tweak the siblance detection software their using becauthe it'th dithtracting your audienthe. Thankth.

I've never thought Keefe and Dubas were NHL Coach/GM and were just thrown in to usher Lou out. Lou's made some hit and miss choices, but he had a plan, it's not clear the shan-a-plan actually has any water.
