i mean... the book has been around for a few decades, and this isnt the first tv adaptation: that was done in 1980 and had john rhys davies and toshiro mifune. so i would have to counter and say GoT is just bri'ish Shogun
Funny thing, the books game of thrones were adapted from, a song of ice and fire, George R.R. Martin did base a lot of events the war of the Roses, the war between the Yorks and the Lancasters
Excited to check this show out! Also ... I've been dying to ask ... how on earth do you get your hats to fit so well? But more importantly, how do they stay on your head when you wear them back so far??? (Sincere question)
Shogun was written in 1975. Game of Thrones was written in 1991. So it's more Game Of Thrones is the European version of Shogun. All of you making this comparison need to start mentioning that Shogun WAS written almost 20 years PRIOR to GOT.
Shogun is Historical meaning real, Game of Thrones is Fiction. That's like Calling the movie Zulu just another Wakanda movie. Or Calling Apocalypto a Mexican Game of Thrones.
