@@ashichan3538I have summer okita alter (such a mouthful) to Np2 and I use her with support skadi + waver + Chiron and she generates 60ish starts each turn with an avg of 50% refund......I imagine how good would a double skadi would be!

If you have a favourite Quick unit, especially one that's ST, get her. Quick is still pretty good for CQs because they have a lot of strong ST units; honestly Quick's been relying on the quality of its boss-killers for years. A good copy of Dantes and Summer Okitan are also worth making the consideration.

@Y0kAiS well, traditionally Dantes wants to be NP2 at least. I've used him at NP1, the difference is noticeable; he still works at NP1 mind you, just not as smoothly.

@lewistran5973 Np1 is already fine for her, if you are farming you most likely will never even use her np, even if you wanted, you would need a K-scope plus her append thanks her not possessing a team wide charge like castoria, not to mention how the only effect of her np that helps farming is the recently added attack buff, and even this is on the low side being only a 20% buff at np1 and 25% at np2. Now, if you wanted to use her on CQs, then it becomes a little better, her np level now also increases crit damage, which is really easy to do as she is used with quick dpses, at np1 you have 50% for 3 attacks, 5 turns, at np2 you have 75% still at 3 attacks, 5 turns, and her attack buff, while being on the low side, it has a long duration of 5 turns, not to mention how being able to go above 100% charge can always be a clutch if the enemy has a small np down that can fuck you up, but, her np isn't easy to fill so you want to mostly conserve it for the 1 time evasion it provides instead of spamming it. So, in resume, for farming it's a pretty insignificant to non-existent buff, and in CQs it's a pretty mid buff, I will leave mine at np1.

Summer Skadi is a must summon, OG Skadi is more of a nice to have. She's still very much worth your SQ though and allows you to borrow someone else's built up quick servant to do things.

I have Skadi, I use her every now and then, especially with Kama. I NEVER use her for any type of farming, I have Castoria and Koyan and I prefer to use them, I prefer to use Castoria to not have to swap in oberon, and Koyan teams for the situations arts doesn't cut it or I don't have damage. So from my PoV (and I don't play on JP, so it's only from personal experience from NA until now), I would not roll for Skadi, if pity was a reasonable amount, then yes, I'd roll for her, it's a nice weapon to have in your arsenal, but it's so outclassed... She helped me a lot in the past to loop with my Zerkerlot, but now? I just don't think saving 900 SQ to guarantee her is reasonable, and I personally only roll when I have guaranteed pity, to me rolling 400 sq just means risking throwing 400 sq away and being 400 sq short to the next servant. It's not that quick is bad or anything like that, like I said, I still use Skadi every now and then on niche situations, it's just that obnoxious pity amount offers little room to allow f2p the luxury of rolling for something other than incredibly meta defining units (or favourite units of course). I think if pity threshold was brought down to allow people to guarantee 3 to 4 units every year, a lot of units would rise up in popularity, and quick units would benefit from it more than all others.

I started playing last year during the Bunny Scathach event and she was my first 5 Star, so getting Skadi would be very significant for me... on the other hand, Melusine is absurdly practical for both CQ and Farming.

The issue with Arts looping is not being able to get enough refund. The issue with Buster looping, is having a high threshold/investment cost. For Quick, you have to worry about both, and it’s arguably more “expensive” to get a good Quick farming team. With that being said, I love my Skadi, and I do like a lot of my quick servants. I’m just glad I got lucky summoning her during her first appearance at 3rd anni.

So buster is more reliable for the simple reason that numbers don't matter. Except damage. Arts relies too much on enemy numbers. Quick yes relies on numbers but you'll more than likely have the c stars to crit them to death easily. Also I've been using her with Oberon and it works just fine

My plan is to do a few rolls and if I happen to get her, then great - I could definitely use her. But mostly my hope is to get some event CEs to help with the event. Kinda the same with Kama - I'm putting 10 tickets towards her, but that's about all I can spare. Saving the main rolls for Koyan Light. F2P life.

If you have been stocking on quick servants that are decent enough, get Skadi. You’ll be tap into a group that’s good for bosses. Might not be the best setup like Arts but they might fill whatever gaps you have in your Chaldea. For example, Santa Karna is a great Saber for Lancer bosses and he’d be better with Skadi.

Alright, I have a couple of questions. Firstly, I pulled Kama on my second single summon. As a new player, should I prioritize getting duplicates of these characters? Secondly, should I aim for Skadi, or is it better to save for Melusine and Koyanskaya? I already have Ereshkigal, Space Ishtar, Altria Pendragon (Lancer), and a few other four-stars.

I would say: - Melusine is the most generally good, and can be used in practically any content - Koyanskaya is essential if you want Buster farming - Skadi can get the maximum potential out of Quick units, especially single targets, but requires more investment - Multiple copies will further increase the maximum damage of your units, but this is only relevant at high level CQ and 90++, with most of the content being able to be completed without problems with NP1 units with good support

1, going for multiple NP levels usually isn't worth it unless you plan to use that servant for farming. Even though Kama is a ST unit, she has a fat battery so you could use her for some farming. I don't think it would be the best idea personally though. 2, Skadi is definitely great but if you can only choose skadi or melusine and koyan, 2nd is probably better. In NA Melusine is one of the top buster farmers, and still is in JP. If you don't have Black Grail she will do pretty potato damage though fyi. And koyan just opens up the option of buster farming at all which is very nice.

I want her because I like having different options, specially on the support department. My plan is getting her and then her Ruler version next Summer to make the combo. I'm waiting for Quick units as Tai Gong and Taira and already have Saber Okita and Assassin Kama and I want them to be as attended as my Arts and Buster units.

I got her in the lucky Bag beginning this year and yeah she definetly is worth it cause without double skadi Quick is simply unsuable, my douman sends his regards.... Quick is great for irregular nodes cause they produce so many stars and usually have incredible strong crit buffs that they can face cards single or double enemy nodes easily

I think they have been dancing around the quick issue in which the support itself either needs a buff or replacement because ruler skadi is just a band aid it's not resolving the issue. Skadi needs a skill buff badly or they need to replace her. Hear me out buff skill 2 it's the weak link to her entire kit here is my proposal 1. decrease critical hit and def by 40% per turn for 3 turns 2. reduce cooldown of skills by 2 3. mod against earth attribute 50% to all allies 3 turns doing this I think would make her viable with oberon and make farming and hard content with her more fun

Still love the content ZTL but i gotta say the communities constant negativity towards quick is getting a little exhausting. Does arts hit better numbers? Yes. Is Buster more convenient in weird numbered nodes? Yes. Does quick still offer huge benefits? Yes. I feel like quick plays takes the most advantage of fgo’s system. I feel like this was a lost opportunity to really hype people up for the upcoming changes that largely help quick more than the other two systems. Should you get skadi? We have two pretty big changes coming this year that help quick units. Additional stars per quick chain plus 20 stars immediately if you lead with a quick card to enable more turn one crits for easier gain and more damage. As well as mighty chains which help quick units fully take advantage of crits to gain massive NP and do tremendous damage. Especially when we just got one of the best quick loopers Summer okita and we’re due to get another one next year Rikyu I feel like the community spends so much time memeing on quick that we don’t recognize it’s benefits It’s just sad how much

I also think there’s an incredibly solid argument to be mad that quick might be the best for multicore as well. I feel like everyone is too locked in to the double support single dps mindsight. Crit teams are at their best when the whole team can take advantage of the stars at hand

@Therealkingk909 to play multicore team, you need to have team wide buff that caster skadi doesn't have. Also she doesn't have atk buff on her skill so unless you give her kd, your dps buster cards gonna hit like noodle

@@eyesclosed1710 there’s other quick support other than just skadi. Van Gogh is a support and so is Ashiya Douman with a strong AOE NP. Ruler skadi comes out in 6 months with a single target NP as well. I routinely run double Douman plus skadi with a dps. As long as your dps is evil or chaotic evil you’re pretty much guaranteed a full hand of tremendous crits. You can use the Doumans to take out the early waves and melt down the boss with NP and crits

@@Therealkingk909most of the nodes arts can just 6-slot with bond bonus CEs, while Quick always needs CEs with most servants. For the harder nodes arts needing a CE like the other colors is not a real downside.

Skadi is one I skipped originally for various reasons, mainly a big Buster bias and no decent Quick units that could have utilized her talents. But hey, after some major lotto farming this year I got plenty of resources to pump up new units, and some lucky rolls bagged me Summer Okita Alter, so hey, might as well see if I can complete the farming trifecta. Buster and Arts farming have their their own strenghts that are nice to be able to switch between, I bet Quick would be another great tool in the box.

I'm prioritizing her over Koyanskaya bc i like Quick & Skadi is slowly disappearing from my Caster Support lists just like Osakabehime is near nonexistent for Assassins bc Fox Lady Big Buster Farming Support. But i play mostly for fun and don't care much about if i 3T a node, and i just like Quick and Arts more. I'll never boast about being a good player, though, bc I'm very much not. 🤣

I have two target for december and January. 1 Skadi. 1 Koyans of light. 60 tickets and 570 saint quartz, but if I can't get any of them, I'm very happy with my servants.

i recently returned playing after i saw her rate up i pulled for her and got 1 copy, and i immediately invested on my Edmund Dantes his skills 10/10/1, append skills 0/10/0. while skadi has skills 10/10/10 and append skills 0/0/0. Quick NP Loop can make Crit Stars rain!

The only strugle quick teams have is 6CE farming, which is idiotic thing to beging with. But if you have 6 CEs to beging with, then most likely you don't really need to farm anymore. Copium about arts that being good and refunding a lot NP gauge isn't funny in 2023. This "new and shiny new toy" feels a lot clunkier when you servants fail a kill because of too high enemy HP and you are out of crit option. Koyan x2 + Oberon compo is really strong, I agree, but not so drastically, coz lacks any defense option.

6-slot isn't idiotic, it is most of the nodes you do. If you use your natural AP you will mostly farm the free nodes to get mats, where you gain tons of bond since they cost around 20 ap not 40 so getting the max bond possible is the best choice. Arts refunds is still better for most nodes since you get to 6-slot, and since you can also just add CEs and plug oberon to then, arts doesn't fall that much behind buster even at 90++

Why would someone ever farm with RNG drops when you have consistent source of mats from events? >Arts refunds is still better Up until you start playing events where you meet ~300k mob at wave2 or 1kk at wave 3 and you didn't rolled for a new shiny toy with extra DMG for an event or don't have good NP2+ servant for the case. In this case you either do bustergorila dmg & crit, or crit with quick. I speak from experience. In most cases where you meet low hp enemies arts would be great, but not always. Quick has more options in this regards.

@@squarebrain6714 no, I just know how to play the game. Its better to use natural AP to farm nodes then rely on events for mats, I never go into mat or QP hell so I'm probably doing it right. I even already farmed all the mats I will use in the next 2 years(excluding ones not on NA yet) And more importantly bond, the amount you get by doing the free quests is absurd(20 ap cost with similar bond drop to events), and you will for sure get all the mats before all the bond. For QP just farm raids to provide you what you need, lottos also help, Ember you get more than enough for free.

@@GS_CCC Are you for real? You should know it's really bad joke. Map farming will never be better then farming events because not only you have RNG on droprate, but at what you get with each drop and drop rate to get at least any mat is ~50%, which makes even more then 40 AP. Meanwhile each event clear of 40 ap (80~90++) gives you currency to buy 1-5 items from the shop without any drop+ CE. It's basic math. Yeah you can get ~15% more bond points from the map nodes. But doesn't even close to compensate less mats. Farming map nodes doesn't even require any "card" support. You can slap Waver to a team and call it a day with 3t farm. There are very few nodes where you need smth more then Waver. If you want to be effective about QP - you farm doors node during discount. Here you'll get the most. Lottos are not so good for farming for last ~3 years. Don't even use 4* exp cards. Map nodes are only good during dead weeks. Anything is fine during dead week, through i'd just collect blue apples instead of wasting AP and time.

@@squarebrain6714 you get mats less quickly but you will get them before all the bond so still better, after clearing the shop you should hop out of the events, with 90++ it comes closer as said above by you since the bond drop gets more similar. Idk, raids are enough QP for me, the rate I get new servants is lower than the QP gain. When I start leveling a lv 120 on NA it will change but for now its like that, no need to do half cost doors. You may also not care about the bond of koyan/castoria/oberon etc, and in normal nodes you can just not use them and have a team of 5 servants you want to bond up since the requirements to do the node are way lower.

If peeps wanna pull for Disney Shishou then I think it just depends on the Master. You think she's hot? You have quick servants that want her in the party? Then that seems like more than enough reasons to grab her now. For me personally, I haven't used my Skadi much since Castoria but that's only because the quick servants I usually have alongside her are all bond 10 already. Sadly I failed to get Summer Okitan 😢 so my motivation to use Skadi now is low. No regrets getting her when I did but still remember that Summer Skadi will come next year for us too.

honestly, I'm questioning if I should summon for Skadi. I have every other supporters like Kyon, Castoria, Merlin and Oberon, I have some farming units like Berserkerlot, Atalante, and MHXA but my SQs are enough for maybe 3 to 4 mutlis. Plus there is New Years...

The main servents I have is altera, karna, orion, castoria , tamamo, koyanskaya, semiramris, kiara as o casual player playing for story I think I am set for buster and arts quick 4 star servents are very good , gonna need skadi for them and probably gonna have waver this aniversary saved 580 sq and 40 tickets for skadi will update after got her or not

For basic farming you only need 1 Skadi. As a Dantes main triple Skadi let's me farm 2/2/X node some servants quick even 1/1/X or it allows some servants black grail farming.

summer skadi is better especially if your dps has double quick double buster deck. she gives more stars, 15% more quick up, 3t 20 atk up instead of 1t 30 def drop(so better looping), arguably better crit since buster cards hit about twice as hard as quick, her np is generally more useful than the caster one and can work as a universal farmer if you don't have one (she either 2nd or 3rd among the universal quick farmer) a more blatant comparison is that caster skadi only have a total of 5 effects in her 3 skills while summer skadi has 9, and they share 4 same type effect being quick up, atk increase, 50 battery, and crit up

You need both regardless. You use 1 Base and 2 Summer for 150% battery and 200% Buster Crit damage. You can get away with 1 Summer 1 Regular but only if you have Oberon. Having 3 Skadi's guarantees that almost all Quick Units can loop easily because of the massive Quick Boost the 3rd Skadi gives.

I'll try for her and Benni but, I'm also expecting them to drop a 2nd unit with Melusine. Could be Castoria bur she has a rate up soon. Love Morgan but she has already had her second and has one in an event. If anyone I'm hoping Oberan. Expecting the event to start around the 6th so they have a week for Melusine story campaign and Tungusta on the 21st.

As much as I want to get Skadi so that I could finally use my MHX and my other quick servants. I'd skip it and full in on Koyan banner since most if not majority of my servants are busters and arts anyways. Hoping I can get Castoria on GSSR but yeah I am gonna be skipping Skadi sadly :(. F2P is hard, i can onle do 1 GSSR and its my first ever. EDIT: Also Anniversary? When is that, is it when Arcruied get released?

You really shouldn't, summer skadi is enough. You are way better off getting Castoria or oberon who are good supports or a servant you like more. In the game meta we have she is even worse then Waver/Xu-fu/da vinci ruler, servants you can get for free.

If you can only pick one then yeah I'd say Summer is a better idea though. I just think having both is nice. Skadi didn’t appeal to me back when she was coming to NA but I got her cause I worried about needing to loop. Never really enjoyed it with her. But now have NP2 Space Ishtar and love looping with my Nero Bride and support Castoria. I wish Skadi had a team wide attack buff and battery.

nothing prevents you from getting a regular Skadi and using the summer version as a friend support unit, receiving benefits from both. as for myself? im gonna go for her, cant wait for banner since i already have buster and arts set ups i want to finish up this weapon triangle(who know they know) and finally use quick units i have who was benched for whole existence of my account. cuz i was skadiless.

After having her since she came out I can say absolutely not. The farming is not there due to the very strict CE and NP level requirements. In challenging content she was held afloat by either Kama or MHXA. She is the worst of the 5 star supports but she is the only thing quick has right now.

You can easily make arguments in favor of Tamamo in Castoria teams as a third support with everything she adds. Especially with certain servants you can enable shenanigans. Jeanne, yeah, kinda forgot all about her. But better than Jeanne is not exactly a ringing endorsement. In spite of all the hate I have for Skadi I still try to make her work when I have an opportunity to do so (skilling up big ushi right now) it just feels bad every time I attempt it.

In the near future? Well only Melusine could be maybe put ahead of Skadi. As for next year when it comes to new units they ain't really much meta must have ... Lady Avalon, Summer Skadi, Summer Ibuki and Arcueid i guess? Although still not as must have as this year roster was ... And for old units returning it's always the same old bunch Castoria, Oberon, Morgan, Godjuna etc.

must: oberon, castoria interchangeable: kukulcan, melusine, godjuna, tiamat (higher np recommended due to potential knight-cavalry mix node), arcueid (not recommended without summer ibuki due to bad cooldown), morgan (especially with merlin and castoria, the most consistent and easiest cheese to 90% of the CQ or boss fight)

Every Quick unit is 500% better with Skadi Caster/Ruler, but unfortunately it's not enough to compete with Arts or even Buster, Quick has a big problem that they can't farm with 1/1/x nodes like Buster and they also can't compete with Arts in 3/3/x nodes (in NP gain or Damage). so yes, your Summer Okita will be very good with either (or both) Skadi, she's able to loop with her 8 Hit NP using Blackgrail, and if you have Oberon, you will be seeing some big numbers.

Caster Skadi is better for just quick farming but summer Skadi is good for both quick and buster crits. If you wanna wait then you can, either option is really good. Summer Skadi can loop herself

She's not better or worse than skadi, she helps, Summer Skadi is an asset for your roaster, SS makes quick farmer easier with OG skadi, she also brings in pain for buster crits, she has damage, she has stars, plus crits and most importanly she make quick loops happen for many quick units.

As far as I can tell, triple Skadi is best for quick, so go for them both when you can. But if you only can get 1 right now, then it depends on your needs. For farming S. Skadi undoubtedly superior since she just gives you more damage and refund. But if you’re not in need of a good farming setup, then it depends. S.Skadi also gives buster buffs, so she’s great for double quick, double buster deck units as she gives them great consistent damage by covering both those card types. But for double quick, double arts deck units, the buster buffs will be useless, so best to go for regular Skadi. On units with good hit counts, Skadi’s 100% quick crit buff will make them hit like a freight train. Plus Skadi also has a double quick and double arts deck, so that means you’ll be able to make arts chains with some frequency for faster access to your NPs.
