Canonically Sonic 4 takes place in the classic series, it plays like the scene with Tails remembering when he met Sonic but instead of using the classic look he uses the modern one

Either disregard Sonic 4 (preferably) or just retcon the modern designs, or fuck it, Sonic 4 is another timeline

@@Josuh well in mania, sonic goes to little planet again and finds metal, who eggman sees on his computer screen as still being there after CD. so like, mania be clashin with 4 on how metal returned.

It's been Implied that it's non canon because of mania taking during it's place. but since It hasn't been officially stated that it's "not canon" so it's canon.

Idw had white park from sonic 4 in it. I’d say they just had a rematch in little planet bc a lot of things took place in between cd and sonic 4 that had metal sonic in it. He was in chaitix and r so its whatever.
