I personally prefer the first Spider-Man, it had so much emotion and sprinkled in Peter's causal life with his Spider-Man life, trying to balance everything. The Otto and May scene was a tear jerker, and the story is just so perfect. The gameplay is spectacular, and the themes are the right amount of hope and confidence which embodies Spider-Man.

@@fantapro23 Insomniac Spiderman 2 is probably the best Spiderman game regarding gameplay. Regarding story, most probably, but it depends on the individuals debating. Personally I feel like insomniac Spiderman 2 had a better balance between story and gameplay, whereas a game such as shattered dimensions COULD have a better story than Spiderman 2 but I don't think it has as good gameplay.

@@SoloSilence Spider-Man 2 is a letdown compared to Spider-Man 1 and Miles Morales due to the sheer fact that the game was said to have "went gold" (meaning the game is completely finished) only for us fans to pay 70$ for a game that's clearly unfinished and rushed lacking most basic features that were in both previous games since release and even had 3 DLC's by now. The game is full of politics which is very unnecessary in a video game about superheroes; ACAB, Feminism, LGBTQ, BLM, all that shit was uncalled for and irrelevant. The story is a complete joke compared to the previous games and the fact that they gave Miles an adidas ad suit as his newest canon suit is just mind blowing how retarded the studio really is. The game has not given us any update for over 4 months now ever since the day 1 patch and it's horrendously ridiculous when Insomniac Meatriders call us impatient and toxic. We want to play Spider-Man 2, a finished game worthy of 70$, a game where the fanbase doesn't have to be divided by woke agendas such as ACAB, LGBTQ, Feminism, BLM just because the devs want to make easy money off of people who think they are actually supported by the studios. This game is just horrendous.

The one thing that I feel they could have done better in spider man 2 is the bosses the end ones were mostly the same like cravin was screen with a bell venom was screem but flying and the spider man boss was just the same. Shure the attacks were different in all of these but the way to fight was the same, parry punch a bunch, doge punch a bunch and over and over shure you could use your abilities but there was not much difference in them. The og spider man had much better bosses cuz the way of fighting them was so different

Why is GOTG above MSM1? I've played both; the former one i quit midway through(although i will definetly come back to finish my playthrough) and the latter i got 100% on and am trying to get All achievements. MSM1 feels like at least 5 years ahead of GOTG in everything although GOTG was released almost 5 years after. I still love GOTG but it just wont ever top MSM1

This is the contemporary list. Midnight Suns should be replaced by Ultimate Alliance. Just to keep it fair. We'll replace one Insomniac game and replace it with Spider-Man 2000. We'll keep Spider-Man 2 because it has both Spider-Men. But if I'm perfectly honest. I enjoyed Miles Morales more.

Maybe GOTG is better, I haven’t played much, but I prefer Spider-Man from what I’ve seen and played. Spider-Man PS4 also had a better story than 2 and it’s longer.

Spider-Man: Web of shadows can't be beaten by any other game. Graphics I swear were ahead of their time. Although, the game that could beat it is a remaster of 2000 and 2001 Spider-Man 1 & 2.

I personally think Spiderman Shattered Dimensions, Spiderman Edge of Time and all the Marvel Ultimate Alliance games were better. Glad to see someone else loved Midnight Suns as well I have loved that game so much I bought all the DLC for it and also have all the achievements.

Sorry but, i dont agree that Spiderman 2 is the best. I think that goes to spiderman 1. Part 2 is q hit and miss and i think that's the reason why a lot of ppl wasnt feeling it as much as 1. It had so much potential and it feels like they squandered it. Now that im thinking about it, i think j enjoyed guardians of the galaxy slightly more than spiderman 2. This is just my take on it, and we all have our opinions, but i believe if they did a few things differently, it would be on par with part 1.
