Today we are reviewing the skincare brand Summer Fridays & I'm letting you know whether I think their masks are worth the hype! I feel like I had seen a lot of reviews for their original Jet Lag mask but not a ton of reviews on their new products or their brand as a whole. They are super trendy and all over Instagram so I knew I had to make this video!

My skin is currently oily-combination and my skin and eyes are both extremely sensitive. My number one concerns that I try to target in my routine are dullness & hyper pigmentation left over from my severe cystic acne, and the occasional hormonal breakout. I did take Accutane in 2016 so my skin type has fluctuated a lot, so if you watch past videos of my mine and I describe my skin type differently, that’s why!

i absolutely love the packaging for these masks! not only are they more hygienic than dipping your fingers into tubs, but the metal tubes are also a lot better for the environment than plastic!!

Great video, thanks for the review. Honestly I'm so over summer Fridays. they're so transparent with their insta worthy aesthetic like they just focused on cute packaging for a good insta feed and not on good masks. Never bought them when they came out, never will after seeing this review

At first, this line really intrigued me bc A LOT of influencer really raved about the line, & of course it’s very aesthetically pleasing so that’s always a plus, lol. But after I picked up the Overtime Mask, I just wasn’t wowed by it. It’s not bad by any means, it’s just for me, there’s way better stand out skincare lines out there for my needs. Currently, I’m trying out more clean brands @ Sephora like Youth To The People, Biossance, & next on my list is Kora Organics. So far, very very good. I’m extremely happy with my results. Of course, I’m still using my Tatcha holy grails bc I will always incorporate them in. But overall, my skin is looking very bright lately. It looks like I’m drinking gallons of water daily, lol.💦✨

I’ve tried the jet lag mask and it is my holy grail. I do not apply/use it as she does in the video. I use it as my nighttime moisturizer, so I apply a thin-medium layer and sleep with it on. My skin instantly feels quenched without the oily residue that I normally experience after applying cream moisturizers (I have very oily complexion btw)... I literally can’t stop touching my face after I apply NC it feels so silky smooth! The next morning my skin is beautiful, bright, and soft. After my AM wash, prior to makeup, I apply a thick visible layer of Jet Lag under/corner of my eyes and let sit for 20 minutes, then wipe with tissue. It instantly brightens my eyes... I have acne prone skin and this cream hasn’t broke me out *knock on wood. Have been using since April, just finished my first tube. Sephora offers 2 sizes btw... I do not use this cream during the day as I find it is too thick for my oily skin, and with the daytime humidity (in Hawaii) it leaves me super shiny... Although I have used it a couple times on long flights and it does help with the climate change when traveling from Hawaii (super humid) to Las Vegas (super dry)!

I highly recommend the Andalou Naturals pumpkin honey glycolic mask. It’s one of my holy grails and is so inexpensive with really good ingredients!!!

I’ve been so curious about these masks but they are so expensive! I wish they would come out with minis of these, or maybe a set of minis. That would be awesome because it would be a good way to try it, especially since I don’t feel like I would be able to use these masks super often.

beautiful packaging but the jetlag mask made my skin red, there was sensitive red patches around my face, i guess it was the mint oil, so i stopped using it, just gonna keep it for vanity aesthetic purpose

Aside from the other masks mentioned in the video, Drunk Elephant C-Firma serum contains pumpkin, as well as the Kate Somerville Exfolikate but I only like the Gentle version. Tony Moly also has a pumpkin sheet mask that is quite nice!

Seriously...please see if u can do a Kiehls👏skin👏 routine👏. I LOVE them. I'm switching from Clinique to Kiehls 100% wen I get my paycheck 💵 Their 🌼Calendula Herbal extract toner smells like fresh brewed☕tea. No alcohol in it either. The 🌼Calendula deep face wash doesnt burn eyes👀 and is just simply smooth nd fresh. I use the 🌼calendula and aloe gel soothing masque and holy god ABOVE 🤸👍 I just can't say enough good things about their line so far. Love love. The vitamin C serum changed the feel of my skin in 1 day flat🏋 💥 Also..Mario Badescu has some magical formulas too👍 Their hyaluronic eye cream & the 🌹rose hips nourishing face oil both are just str8 up dope❗I never thought id switch from Clinique. Hands tf down. Period. 💥

Caitlin Monagan hi! How are you? I suffered from acne vulgaris as a teenager and was under a dermatologist's care to treat it. Given that acne vulgaris is a recognised skin condition I preferred to consult a doctor to direct my path. I now suffer from occasional break outs and below is my multi-pronged approach to battling pimples which arise due to hormones and the occasional poor diet, not acne vulgaris: 1. I consume veggies, preferably green ones, on a daily basis. The vitamins in these foods creates a great basis for skin; 2. The stomach's microbiome must be balanced to have clear skin because gut bacteria plays an important regulatory and balancing function. I consume probiotic capsules on a daily basis; 3. If I see a pimple, I avoid using an exfoliating face wash and switch to a gentle cleanser. The pimples indicate an imbalance and the skin needs to be treated like silk; 4. I apply the Juice Beauty Salicyclic Acid in the affected areas only, and apply my regular sera to the rest of my face and neck; 5. I massage in Tata Harper Clarifying Moisturiser everywhere (except my neck, as I use a separate product) because it is my standard product; 6. At night I slather on the Tata Harper pimple treatment (I dab it on the pimples prior to makeup in the morning); 7. I use the Aesop Masque or Charlotte Tilbury Clay Masque for an overall deep cleanse on a weekly basis. I hope this helps! Have a lovely Sunday.
