Today I am testing out the new Survival Hunter rework in solo PvP, to see how it feels compared to Dragonflight Hunter, and how much better it can survive without a healer. :)
The rework+ the recent changes of harpoon and eagle was spot on and much needed. Hopefully they will manage to go through similar changes for the other classes too.
I watched your video - I’m super excited to keep playing sv, but as soon as you start fighting a warrior, dk, shadow priest, etc. you just won’t kill them. As long as they know how to play their spec, they will out heal and out absorb you over the long run. They need to tune down their healing and survivability and or increase our dmg and we will be fine. I think that’s the one thing holding back sv atm is the dmg performance in pvp.
I can't speak for Warrior and Priest... But I have fought quite a few DKs in beta, and I do agree that they just keep on living for a LOOONG time. I always managed to defeat those DKs though, and only recall one time one managed to kill me. So while they ARE incredible tanky and self-healing, I don't find them impossible to kill. 🤔 Then again, maybe I fought people who are bad at PvP... 🤷♂ I don't struggle with damage against most other classes though, which makes me think it's more of a question of how durable those other classes are, and them needing defensive tuning... What I'm getting at, is that I haven't felt that SV Hunter damage was lacking, in such a way that I couldn't defeat other classes. 🙂 And the last thing I would like to see, is swapping dmg out for some of the survivability we have received in the rework. 😅 But again, I'm no expert. I just share what my personal experience have been, from testing it out myself. 🙂
Im actually pretty intrested in the slower pvp that seems to be happening a lot less bursty. maybe a bit too slow but its seems kinda nice dying or nearly dying in a cc chain
@@23seyars23 I hear people talk about "swapping vers out for mastery", but honestly I don't know, since I usually let other people do the testing for me. I can't imagine us NOT needing vers, since the mastery only gives us the 12% reduced dmg... So if I have 16% dmg reduction from vers gear, that would only stack on top of the 12%, making it 28% reduced dmg. So if I had to guess, I'd say that you still need vers, but you will be stacking mastery on the side as well for the extra dmg output. How much haste and crit we will need to focus on, I'm not sure... But seeing we can pick Spearhead for the 30% increased crit chance, I could imagine it being important with extra crit damage during the opener... And I don't feel energy starved at all as SV Hunter, so haste probably isn't as important this time around... So my guess is: Vers > Mastery > Haste = Crit But again, I might be completely off there 😂
For solo PvP? Tenacity pet by far, since it increases your health pool, and gives you access to an extra healing spell, which all synchronize perfectly with Exhilaration. 🙂 Ferocity pets that gives leech, are highly overrated imo
I saw a comment saying sub rogue was so bad. Needless to say, I don't mind if that's the case - since they've been OP for most patches throughout all xpacs lol.
@@TheKb051 That's what I'm hoping for. Learning towards returning to my Druid (played Druid for 15 years), or go DK or Rogue. Playing with a RL friend who is going Druid so another stealther would be interest. Kind of want something that can tank, though.
Nice to see sv hunter not complete shit in tww. However rogue is under tuned and has talents not even working right now. Don't get used to beating rogues we are coming for you.... Love your vids keep having fun. I subbed :)
@@scipio0793 Oh you are right hehe, I thought you referred to "track hidden", which is used to easier track people in stealth. 🙂 Yes "track humanoids" weren't on.
And sometimes fighting 2 at the same time. 🙂 That’s the fun part about WPvP, you encounter more fun scenarios, than in instanced PvP. Plus, it adds the feeling of hunting down players, who are just going about doing their own thing. It’s all a matter of perspective.
