The problem with tattoos is how would you purify yourselves. If the tattoo covers parts of the body that you do wuduk since the water did not touch your skin your wuduk is incomplete. For reverts with tattoos this is forgiven until a time they be able to remove it if they can. The other problem is how can you fully purify yourselves by bathing after you do intercourse or ejaculates. You will be in a state that you will not be able to do solat or any worship because you had not been able to purify yourselves.

The ink is inside the skin and not above it.. So, wudu should be valid.

@@aquib5889 nope, it changes/stained the skin if not the ink will not show up. The ink is put under the skin but it stained all the way up to the skin surfaces.

He said himself that tattoos are prohibited because it is changing Allah's creation, not because it prevents wudu. It stains the skin, it does not block water, if it did that would mean the pores in the skin are blocked as well and the skin damaged. Also not all tattoos can be removed, it depends on the size and placement of the tattoo its not always possible. For people who convert, all their past sins are forgiven, that includes getting tattoos.

Henna doesn't harm our body...and it's not permissible to make images of persons..whether it's from henna or tattoo..but like general designs..which people make of henna are allowed..

Wa-Alaikum-Assalam.. No Brother.. It is not permitted for men also.. Whenever we read a Hadith, sometimes the original wording of Hadith is enough for understanding its meaning but many of the times explanation of Hadith is important. And in the explanation of this Hadith, Tattoo is made forbidden for both men and women.

No..he wasn't a prophet. Ibn Masood narrated in Sahih that " prophet Muhammad (S.A.W) cursed those tattoo artists and those who have the tattoo done to them "

It sounds like you're comparing our creation with His creation. He created us, so He doesn't like if we vandalise or modify our body whom He created. And don't compare His art and creation with our's. It's better to follow him from your heart and mind rather writing His name. Tattooing His name is like showing off which He doesn't like it.

Since they are temporary brother they are allowed like he said… but making permanent changes to your body as a Muslim that doesn’t benefit your health is haram…. So getting tattoos is haram because god wants you brought back the way he brought you in… now if there is something wrong with your body like a deviated septum and you get that fixed it’s not haram because you are righting a wrong in your body and looking out for the benefit of your health…. But henna is temporary and washes away after a few days it’s doesn’t stay so it doesn’t scar you

You make a design whatever it is and that dye becomes permanent part of your skin this type of permanent tattooing Haram in Islam it's not permitted but if it's done on temperory bases for example you use Hina or mehndi or any color temperory for few days then that is permissible .

Why is this hadith mentioning only women. You got to understand the context of this hadith. In ancient Arabia people would get tattooed in order to protect themselves from bad omen, which had an element of shirk. Nothing to do with the people who do it for the sake of fashion or adornment.

Tattoos do not prevent a person from embracing Islam. If a person had tattoos before embracing Islam and then utters the two testimonies of faith, [saying: "Ash-hadu allaa Ilaaha Illallaah Wa Ash-hadu Anna Muhammadan Rasoolullaah" (I bear witness that none has the right to be worshipped but Allaah, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His Messenger], his becoming a Muslim is acceptable. However, tattoos are forbidden, so after embracing Islam he should not get himself tattooed. As long as a person becomes a Muslim, he is forgiven for the tattoos that he had done before embracing Islam. The Prophet said: "Islam wipes out all the previous sins." [Muslim] To conclude, the tattooed person should try to remove the tattoos if he can as long as he does not fear a greater harm because in such a case he is not obliged to do so. Allaah knows best.

(By the pen) Allah swore by the pen. This pen is made of light and its height is equal to the distance between Heaven and earth. It is also said that the pen is one of the angels by whom Allah has sworn, (and that which they write (therewith)) and Allah also swore by what the angels write down of the works of the children of Adam, where is the earth i can find NUN? from night watcher

@@maninair9 temporary one is above the epidermis while permanant one is below the skin...Also temperory one makes a layer of its own above the skin which cause impermeablity to water to touch the skin ...in this way the gusal and uzu cannot b done in its way ...

It's not Haram ( i.e. not forbidden) .. there are several schools of thought in Islam.. and the one Dr. Zakir follows has plenty of mistakes when it gets to some details. You can take the Basics from him yes but not everything he says is true.

@@khadarsk370 My friend, glad that you mentioned this. Sahih Bukhari is not a Qura'an, & not everything in it is true! Bukhari was born in year 194 H. & died in year 256 H. That means he lived & made his book approx. 240 years after the prophet died. Now that's a very very long time ( Especially in that primitive Era ) to be able to take correct Hadiths from the prophet and confirm they are true! It is said that when Bukhari was asked to make a book about Hadiths, he chose the Hadiths out of 600,000 Hadiths that were circulating , without mentioning on what basis & what standards he used! Similar thing applies for Sahih Muslim. (Part 1/2 )

Lol.. it's not forbidden in Islam.. Tattoos are UNDER the skin they do not affect Woudou or Ghusl ( Washing) .. Only if the subject of Tattoo is something bad, then it becomes Haram.

Is piercing the ears for Earrings Haram also because its changing the the creation of Allah ? You see what happens when people give Fatwas from wrong sources.. choas happens and many people start getting deterred by Islam!

@@iamkashmir7907If the hadith clearly says "women" how can it be the same even for men. Prophet knows exactly that one day even men will start tatooing so he could've Say that it's "forbidden for men and women" for example, Just tò be sure that nobody get's It wrong. But that verse Is just referring to women... and also now tatoos can be removed with laser, so they are not permanent anymore.

Even henna and temporary tattoos are haraam. It paves the way to desensitize the practice of tattooing. The next generation of youth will adopt it as normal and will easily opt for permanent tattoos. Many in my Muslim community bears testimony to that.

According to Dr.Zakir, Allah does not like tattooing of permanent nature as it amounts to changing creation of Allah. It is obviously applicable on all irrespective of gender. But, I wonder, heart replacement, kidney replacement etc., also amount to modifying creation of Allah. As Allah does not like minor modification like tattooing on skin, He obviously does not like above major modifications, like, heart, kidney, knee replacement. Should a religious Muslim refuse such surgical processes on plea that Allah does not like those?
