Learning a craft takes a long time. If a thirty-year-old calls themself a master of anything, they are mistaken and they are diminishing their own profession. Let's work on the assumption of 10,000 to learn muscle memory for one stone type, that's just over 1,300 days. There are approximately 260 working days a year, so that's over 5 years, the classical length of an apprenticeship. For our craft, that means you can now use your tools adequately and at a speed you can make money. That's for disciplines, say banker masonry, then there's fixing, embellishment, carving, running a business and the psychology of dealing with teams and clients, the list goes on. One of the biggest problems is it takes a long time to know what you don't know.#realmaster #propertraining #experience #lifelonglearning
