When I use RT Systems on my UV MD380 to program Echotest TG 9998 Pvt, it does not show up in the Received Groups list. If I use TG 9999 as a Group call, it will show up on the Received Groups list. Also, the amount of channels in each zone is cut down to 16 for UHF and 16 for VHF which only gives 32 Total, compared to the maximum of 64 (32 UHF and 32 VHF) channels when using the original CPS which I do Not use anymore.
The RT systems programming software for this thing is great. The ability to look at a list of channels and make edits spreadsheet-style is worth the $25 they ask! 9:46 the other thing it doesn't do--but the stock CPS does--is a fun little feature that rhymes with Egyptian.
Honestly, I haven’t had a chance to play with one yet. From what I’ve seen online, looks like it’s probably very similar in terms of the firmware and hardware. Maybe that will be one of the next DMR HTs I pick up and review. Thanks for watching, 73!
No. I have one, terrible to program and now the radio wont play with the computer with any programming cable, I would suggest sticking with tyt for a cheap dmr radio.
