Is the 1971 Nissan Skyline Hakosuka GT-R the MOST iconic JDM ever built? 

I wish car manufacturers of today would go back to the history books and design vehicles like this.

If Nissan rebuild this car with the same design and upgrade materials and engine, I will buy it.

Love the SKYLINE. My dad had a Datsun S30 432Z about 40 years(no, almost 50) ago in Japan. 432Z engine is same as GT-R's engine S20. I think as you know that... I like your car review as always !!

just coming back to this video, this car is truly a timeless piece of art on wheels. from the looks to the eargazmic sound with the perfect pitch on every rpm count and the crisp and clean singing that gets gets progressively better to the engine bay and the emotions it gives you when driving it. I can say I watched this video like more that 10 times.

1971. 1971. 1971, the year I graduated HS here in Los Angeles. I was driving a 1962 Ford Galaxie XL 500 Convertible, 390 cu, 2bbl. With the exception of a few VW bugs or Dune buggies, none of our crowd drove anything foreign.....skip to 1975. I'm in the Army, stationed in what was then West Germany, and met a BMW 2002....Life hasn't been the same since.....but THIS thing....OMG....life changing AGAIN. Good job by the channel.....as per usual. Thank you sir.

You need to feature a Toyota FJ 60-80 and Ford Bronco resto-mod builds. These types of cars are right up your alley and majority of your subs would appreciate. It’s never just about going fast to your destination but how you get there.

As an Aussie, love seeing you drive a right-hand drive car! Also love the little compression lock-ups on the downshifts. That seems like a clutch with teeth that bite.

The holy grail of JDM's, the Hakosuka's was built from 1969 - 1972. So the statement that these were built from 1970 onwards isn't quite correct ;o) Apart from that many thanks for this great video, it shows the hole beauty of this unforgettable Cars , the first Skylines are next to the classic MK1 Mini's and the Subaru Impreza GC8 my favorite cars! For me the PGC and KPGC10 are among the most beautiful classic cars ever built, unfortunately they are now very difficult to get and the prices have shot through the roof! I envy anyone who owns such a beautiful car!

Such a special car...... I remember freaking out a couple of years ago when a red one whizzed by me in Southern California on a local mountain road, sadly my Jeep Wrangler wasn’t capable of catching up to it, much less on that road. It’s this and the BNR32 that do it for me..... now if you’ll excuse me, I’ll be getting a model kit of this one.

1971 Nissan Skyline GT-R Hakousa KGC10 is literally a dream car of mine to own..... $88k from JDM Expo. But I want it in red or blue. This review made my undercarriage glow like a turbo manifold at WOT.

My mom had a 1980 Datsun 280zx turbo with an inline 6, I used to rip that around when I turned 16 lol. It had a lot of turbo lag but once it got boost it felt like a rocket!
