Is the 2021 MINI Cooper SE Countryman All4 a GOOD plug-in electric hybrid?

I have one of the first of these that came in Canada in 2018. Love it and the acceleration is really something when the electric motor kicks in to assist the gas engine.

Life wouldn't be the same without the MINI Cooper! Good review Joe!

You mentioned EV at 18 miles. Here in the UK for the same model we get 32 miles of electric.

Very English using the term bonnet and boot. Although since now owned by BMW boot capacity is now measured in luftballoons and hp is merkels.

How is the drive ? I the Mini Cooper is a quite a hard drive. For a country drive... I hope it’s not as hard?

Love the vehicle. Looks like a Car for having fun going to college.

I have the regular petrol 3cyl 2 dr hardtop and I absolutely love the engine. Minimal issues other than regular maintenance. I did have to replace the alternator at 102k and it was $1040 just for the part 😟😟😟😟😟😳 I’d hate to see the pricing for these new electric gadgets

No spare? I guess there isn't any room for a spare. I love it, but $44K is a little too steep for my pockets. Your suggestion for a backseat arm rest is hilarious.

I like a lot that car inside and out. So sad that is not a reliable one and that after the guaranty ends, you will need to pay an arm and a leg to fix it. Anyway, still a very nice looking vehicle.

We had two Mini Coopers. A convertible S and an All4 S. MINI Coopers are the most fun commuter vehicles. I miss them. The great thing with these is your not like everyone else. These are a rare car to see. The issues. So this cars MSRP is 44k? I bet you can pick one of these up in a couple years for 24k. Horrible resale value. Let's just say from somebody that has had the pleasure of owning MINI.. sell it before the warranty expires. BMW charges an arm and a leg for everything and the maintenance schedule is very painful.

Aren't these about as expensive as a BMW to maintain/repair? Currently have a 2013 Prius II and it's been problem free for eight years until a couple weeks ago when the engine light went on. Still, less than $500 to fix. Nothing to do with the hybrid battery.

Engine is a 1.5 turbo three cylinder, not a 1.3 naturally aspirated. Should have the specs on hand if you’re not sure.

For that price get a model 3 more reliable. I have owned a mini S and now own a model 3 would not go back to a mini.
