@@runningdebate2670 You know what other truck won’t be used for “real work”… The Ford Ranger. Not exactly sure what your point is. That is NOT what this truck’s use case is. Get a Ford F-150 Lightning for that. If you’re use case is to tow heavy, long distance, then get a nice comfy dually truck. You can’t ever drill any screws with a hammer either.

The truck can have lower price here is presented the full option first edition but it can be configured with lower pack battery versions (since are 3 types of battery packs) to drop more get 2 motors and to lower the price even more the rear automatic retractable cover that cost about 4000$ can be replaced with a lower price version, manual cover 1800$ and stock aero rims +bike racks for a total 75.000$ might seem not that affordable but considering the fact you get more than a Jaguar i-Pace for about same price then R1T it start to make more sense since is bigger, has more space inside cabin and to put extra stuff (under hood, +mid tunel +the rear bed) and different modes even the towing mode.. R1T is a great deal.

Still over priced. Cars depreciate. These prices are ridiculous bc we are all willing to pay these prices

@@dallaskegley7900Well, with the latest fossil-fuel prices going up on long term EV's might be a better option and with less maintenance costs of ownership drops so the offer sound much more attractive. The ice cars also starting to pay pollution taxes (at least in Europe) and lately are not allowed on most European city-center-streets, so an EV starting to make more sense on long term use specially with software up-dates that can improve & transform the EV car over night into a better and more efficient EV.. many people still use first gen of Tesla S that was build a decade ago with all up-dates made is way more efficient then when it leave the factory line.. but prices will drop lower in time with new models and new tech..

Lmao Once you start to haul things and try to get work done, it loses 2/3 of range.

Don't be easily fooled. That 10-15k will be back in that vehicle over the course of 8 year ownership period, especially once warranty is over. Ask me how I know lol.

Relying on China for the batteries & materials is a good thing? These EVs are making China very happy. Government is pushing these & deals are being done with foreign sourcing that exceeds ICE vehicles in terms of foreign reliance.

@AnotherUser I mean some Teslas are still running on their original battery with a million miles on them. You can’t run that kind of mileage on a gas powered truck without a few engine and transmission swaps…

You'll still have enough charge to make auxiliary operations like the doors and charge port. Not exactly sure as to why one would wait until then. But it is a consideration for power loss when parked over a long period. Just be sure you're parked next to a charging station.
