Is The 2022+ Subaru WRX Too Comfortable?... 

It’s a great balanced car imo, esp for around 30k; probably the best new daily you can buy if you live in snowy areas.

As I lease, I have enjoyed all the series that have to Canada (and the US) starting with a '03 hatchback. Now enjoying a '22 REX which is my 7th one. For all around use, it is the best. Power band, handling, best tires and comfort. Wish though it came as a hatchback. Whenever I want to remind myself of the best rally version, I'll drive my son's '02 sedan which he has had since new. So light, small and nimble.

Love this car, no car will ever please everyone’s tastes.. I don’t like road noise I wanna hear the awesome stereo and the people I’m riding with. You want more noise put an exhaust on it, you want more power do some mods.Subaru have done way more right than wrong,

Every time a new wrx comes out people dislike it . People buy wrx’s to tune and mod . It’s making crazy’s numbers on the dyno with a few mods . It’s a torque monster

Too comfortable? The suspension harshness and bounciness on 18 stocks summers is bad. They need to pick different struts and springs.

It performs better and handles better. Being comfortable takes nothing away from that. If I wanted uncomfortable and unrefined, I would have kept my old WRX. As far as I'm concerned, Subaru hit a home run with this car. It's a very capable, fun sports sedan that is amazing as a daily driver that you can road trip.

Best WRX to date. It is more accessible to entry level drivers, and full of potential as far as mods and tunes are concerned.

My 2 cents.. its nice to have a more comfortable wrxB. The only thing i would have wished for is a more raw feeling for the steering. I hate the black clading around the wheels but its a good wrx. For rawness, thats where the STI comes in and that is where Subaru is making a mistake to pull it off.. we will wait and see what comes out of this. Can the WRX and the Supra be compared? What I can not wait for is how is a modified wrx is compared to a Supra..

From the original design and first user base/clients its in the wrong direction imo. starting to look like a civicESK style. I think if they are going for different clients then its the right direction.

That's right question and wrong answer. They really went too far and they went in wrong direction. It got good noise deadening and lost absolutely all fun sounds - no engine rumble, no transmission whining, no turbo whistles. Thanks they preserved half of fun look - hood scoop, but wing... wing... Suspension stiffness made VA owners to sell car after year of owning, they made suspension even stiffer and were proud about that, and now you can find used VB on sale with 600 miles mileage. But is there any alternative? Seems no. Reportedly GR Corolla is more connected and makes fun sounds - markup is $10k and waiting time 1.5y, BRZ is more connected and makes some fun sounds - it's hard to fit inside, and so on.

It's still far from a luxury ride, yet not as capable as a VA.
