I wish cars in the Philippines will have optional extras rather than variants forcing you to pay premium. It sucks when you want to have 4wd but it is only available in the very basic trim or the top of the line.
in mid variant Navara VE is still the King with 187hp (7speed AT with manual mode) while XLT only got 167hp (6speed AT No manual mode) ... also VE is cheaper than XLT
XLT has better ride quality even tho it has leaf springs. I actually prefer it compare to the navarra. It has better space especially legroom. It has better Interior quality than the Outdated navarra. Engine wise Navarra probably got the most HP and Torque but the ranger is more refined and more quiet. And has better NVH
The Ranger XL is the better variant of This Ford new truck. its 4WD advantage and 1.2M price tag you can never go wrong with the XL. In the long run 4x4 has better value and high resale value though it's available for MANUAL TRANSMISSION only.
The Ranger is a lot cheaper in the Philippines than in the US. At the present US market, a used 2019 Ranger costs more than $32K. The brand new 2022 XLT would be in the high 30's to low 40's depending on some options.
Hopefully they do bring the v6 diesel. Ford ph should have made more effort to bring in the v6 diesel for the wildtrak 4x4, then just put the biturbo for the xlt, sport and wt 4x2, then the single turbo for the base xl & xls.
@@ReygansRides how come there is a 2023 Ranger XLT manual transmission color blue at Ford Libis? Ford PH says XLS is only available with manual transmission.
Could be. Based on visual inspection, it looked like a Macpherson. I had no spec briefing like the mainstream mediabhence I had to rely on visual checks on site.
@@ReygansRidesI dont know why Ford PH, over @ its website would describe merely the suspension set up as "standard." So I looked over @ international sources & for the new ranger raptor for its front suspension it is double wishbone which most likely is what the other rangers in the line up are using.
THE SMARTEST CHOICE WOULD BE BUYING A 2ND HAND HILUX SINCE YOU ITERATED THAT TO BE A WORK TRUCK. IF I'D BUY A NEW A FORD TRUCK AS A CAR GUY, I'LL GET THE 4X2 WILDTRAK. THIS ONE TOO CANT BE A FAMILY CAR, PEOPLE WOULD FLOCK MORE TO MPVS. CONSIDERING INFLATION, THE NEW SWEET SPOT FOR LIFESTYLE TRUCKS WOULD BE AROUND 1.4M ABOVE. THIS ONE WILL BE LEFT TO NON CAR GUYS AND COMPANY VEHICLES WHO DONT REALLY CARE ABOUT BUYING A 'VALUE FOR MONEY' TRUCK. HAVENT SEEN PEOPLE USING XLTS AS A FAMILY HAULER
It doesnt, it has wishbones up front and you can clearly tell just by looking, same with most compact trucks like the hi lux, people who modify these know this too well, after market UCAs are popular when lifting these and you can only do that with wishbones
