This is a very attractive vehicle! And I like that it looks like an ICE model. Thanks Joe and Lori for bringing this to us. I hope they do very well in the NA market.
VinFast owner Pham Nhat Vuong got blood money for wealth from colluding with the utterly corrupt and brutal Vietnamese Commie regime and selling robbed lands and houses of poor Vietnamese citizens. The Financial Times even had investigative reports on this topic. VinFast is part of VinGroup whose numerous enterprises ended up being short-lived, including convenient stores, clothe lines, smart phones, rice-cookers, stock-trading platform, gas cars, e-bikes, and soon-to-be electric cars. Chairman Vuong's real goal is to take this so-called company on US market IPO, sweep the cash, then flee like a bandit. He created the vast wealth for VinGroup only through using VinGroup as a conduit to sell robbed lands of poor Vietnamese citizens by colluding with the brutal Vietnamese Commie regime who directly did the land-robbing. Search "cuop dat dan" (meaning "land robbing of citizens") right here on RU-vid to see millions of footages of such land-robbings all over the country, spanning for decades, dating back to Commie Chinese puppet Ho Chi Minh's deadly land-reform (1953-1956) that slaughtered nearly 1 million North Vietnamese to rob their lands and homes. All true. Do your research.

I’m just seeing the VF9 for the first time on RU-vid Joe, and Man, you did a superb job of presenting the vehicle. If VINFAST improves upon the stated” kinks” the 2023 model has,( as they did with the 2024 VF8, I might lease a VF9, if it comes to the USA.
I gotta tell I used your channel for reviews to buy vehicle in 2019 and 2022....but I got hooked on your channel... And I watch almost all of them now ....good work dude .. I wish you and your wife much continued success
Driver of Vinfast in Vietnam already complained that they have all kinds of issues with the vehicle, one of them is that the car suddenly stop for no reason while in drive, Vinfast is selling cars here in the US without fully tested in Vietnam market, if y’all know half of the company background, you would think twice before buying one or investment into the company.
You betcha, I'm Vietnamese and I'm pretty confused why they don't sell here in their homeland first, they once said that they will attack the big market first and then small later but that's not how it work.
Give your check back to toyota. No one cares about your trolling paid for by Toyota Motor Co -the company soon to be bankrupt selling hybrids and hydrogen.
VinFast is getting a lot of positive attention for its first EV vehicle's entry into the US. The company is known for its realty state and not car. Unlike in Vietnam, Vinfast cannot hide honest opinions about their vehicle in the US. I like the design, but what's under the hood? Thank you for selling the exterior appearance! Hopefully, it runs great as it looks.
Honestly, I don't want any one company "reigning supreme" or for it to be a contest. I just want all the companies to put out their best product while keeping to their personal design themes. Just like with any car, I want many many options to choose from with all price points available.
@@jeffs6090 nice one Jeff, your description is just what we all abstractly hope to see and want. But with what they're doing. You can clearly see it's beginning to look like a competition for some sort of award of best EV product
🇺🇸 *LOVE this shade of green on this Vinfast* !! *Looks a GREAT SUV EV* !! *Glad the price is a LITTLE lower* !! *FAB job Joe and Lori* !! #RaitisRides 🇺🇸
VinFast front model and logo were exact copies of China's Changan Automobile back in 1950's. There is a reason why zero Vinfast car was sold in Europe after it failed safety standards there for 5 years after much fanfare for its Paris Auto Show with big ticket hired spokesman Beckham in 2018. There is a reason why Michael Lohscheller resigned as CEO after only 6 months seeing the scam from inside. Great work Lori and spokesperson Joe! Looks terrific however I am unsure about a couple of things. Hefty price tag and as you point out in your "zonk" on the lack of ventilated seats, that is silly. A fairly large sample of clothing from Vietnam indicates thoughtfulness on products execution. Quality counts. The real question will be the dealer network and the commitment to standing along side a customer base. Looking good needs to equate with making the customers feel good about their purchase. I wish the Vinfast company well on their challenging entry into the US market.
I have Continental Conti-Pro Contact tires and I think they are awesome all season performers. In addition to that, they hold tire pressure really well over many months.
I'd wait another model year or so on one of these for them to work out the kinks but this seems like a good start. 3rd row is obviously for kids but it's not alone in the segment on that. I do like the rails in the cargo area.
Went on a test ride at the Los Angeles auto show and was pleasantly surprised to see that the fit and finish was excellent. Time will tell to see what happens with this company in the U.S.
Absolutely-- as a former EV owner, long distance driving/roadtrips are severely hampered by the limited charging infrastructure + charge times. If one is very patient, an EV will test this patience to the limit! PHEV is best of both worlds!
Hey Joe, the 999 Vinfact cars have been imported to the USA, and allowing to test drive in San diego, why don't you make a video of the test drive and give the viewers your "honest " opinions instead of "Paid" opinions.
It does look really cool and I’m already really liking this one. It does remind me of the Chevy blazer for some reason and I think more of the sides or whatever reason it does and that color is so perfect.
@@RaitisRides Great, I heard that the way it drive sturdy and fast like BMW . Most of the parts are come from reputation brands. I can’t wait to see your review on test drive of it.
I’ve been reading that the VF8 and VF9 have been rated with the EPA and one of them only had a very poor 179 mile range. I’m seeing sales in the future!
The VF8 City Edition is the one with 180 miles range only for the state of California. Later they will release a 292 and 277 miles and will be available in the whole US including California.
Great review. More EVs, more compelling competition. Build quality from Asia has been impressive, educated skilled workforce in STEM maintains and management of robotics ensures body integrity. Supply chain is closer and EV parts are high quality.
Big zonk, no ventilated seats, otherwise a really nice ride. Now I’m craving some Pho. Btw, the V logo in the front wrapped with the daytime running lights is the 💣
No they not they are doing Mobile services one on one that sound bad. I see alot video from Vietnam.. They have very bad reviews car in driving on streets suddenly turn to park customer said lucking it was moving at 15 miles. Until now they still can't understand why some of customers have this issue.... Imagine whe on highway doing 70 miles suddenly stops what will happen....
So Joe here's how I see electric cars. It's like the difference between a electric and ICE twinkie. They are the same shape, however, one tastes better. You see a ICE car can look the same as a electric car, however one will be "tastier" than the other, or in otherwords, speak to the soul unlike the other. Like the twinkie speaks to the tummy lol.
@UCiWAIQZEDgBvXWpYy5Oi1Ngunacceptable. Let’s go over true taco statements. Please double check to make sure my request for eight tortilla wraps was filled. Recently this was forgotten. No dressing. Recently they put it on salad. Please double check. Last time the cheese was left out of the salad. Please double check that the cheese is there. Check Twinkie and TWONKEE. MUAHAHAHAH
It’s CORRECT to think that this bear has a VERY SMOOTH HEAD. You must be thinking, “does he use Head And Shoulders Shine Plus?” That would be incorrect. The answer is a bear TRADE secret. ... PACK YOUR BAGS AT ONCE!!!!! WHEREAS this bear needs one more ingredient to get such a SMOOTH HEAD. if you are guessing it’s a quality conditioner with TRUE PLANT EXTRACTS you are correct. TRUE STORY between THIS BEAR and my NON-bear friend ... me: ron is going at 6 mine is at 5 im also getting it free Brandon: how me: i said look its a promotion clearly oyu want to drum up business so what is everyting that they do Brandon: haircut, shoe shine, beer, nails, hot towel and brief neck massage, hand massage me: is it just a standard barber with frills - it sounds like a haircut diner jack of all trades Brandon: yeah me: my hair requires a highler level of skill. i may fire your guy midstream. Brandon: who are you getting it cut with me: same guy as ron Brandon: right and youre going to be there when we’re not that makes no sense why they’d give it to you for free me: thats not the matter i said look brandon clark is a long time guy - he has two friends maybe one comes through take your chance Brandon: that’s not right you shouldnt have said that me: i didnt really do it lol i got you Brandon: right me: i did get you Brandon: yes me: buayaayahahahaah
This company have alot of bad reputation.. There a lots of reviews in Vietnam this new cars suddenly stop while driving lucky they only drive around 20 miles. If in US we driving around 70 miles on highway suddenly stop I can't think of what will happen... In Vietnam customs said they still can't figure out what happens to the cars... It a No No No
Stay away with a 10ft pole. They advertise their V8 as getting 260mi but the EPA only got 180mi from it. Do not preorder or buy anything until the EPA is able to test it. Right now they look completely dead on arrival in the US Market
That 8 is the city editions version for local Cali residents only. Standard range was confirmed by its CEO to come by March and to be available nationwide
I’m not a fan of EVs but the advance with this one is the battery: they will lease you the battery separated from the car which means that you can keep the car for as long as you want and keep changing batteries. This will save money in the long run. With all others, they are making the battery a structural part of the vehicle which means that, once the battery looses charging capacity you need to change the whole car, just like a phone. That’s planned obsolescence, a trick to keep you spending money.
It’s a handsome full size SUV. The taillights sort of remind me of a Kia carnival. I don’t like the push buttons for the transmission. I’m an old school column shifter kind of guy, but even a rotary shifter would have looked better here. Range and charge time is insane though for a vehicle this size.
Looks very nice and luxurious. The door handles and dashboard gives me a Tesla vibe. Hope it is affordable, but to the looks and the competition, I doubt it's going to be affordable. Heard a lot about the range. The range is what gets me excited.
I remember 10 years ago when the green zealots told us how EVs were going to be so much cheaper than ice cars. Now every new EV seems to be double or triple what an ice car costs. Guess they got that wrong too.
Recently, articles in the US have not been very positive about Vf8, and some people think that Vinfast has spent too much money on media and ignored the real needs of users. I hope Vinfast is still on the right track. (By the way, are there any Americans here who have tested the Vf8 and may I know how everyone feels about it?)
Vinfast cars have the most advanced technology in the world, so beautiful and luxurious, no other country cars can compare. So proud that Vietnam has the world's best cars 👍👍👍
I guess it takes a car company to make a car that is useful for actual drivers. Like a regular display in front of a driver for important info and maybe a hud. You gotta love tesla’s blind spot camera in the middle screen when you are changing a left lane.
Hey Joe. When you have the chance, go check out the 2024 Ram Revolution battery electric vehicle concept pick up truck. It’s really cool. The production version is going to be unveiled within a few months but this is a truck that looks like it’s just about there to being production ready. Go check it out, it has a center consul display that can be removed and turned into a tablet and you can take it around the truck or even turn it into a front passenger screen or turn it into a full scale computer, it even has a concept version of the ram box where literally, the whole side portion of the body opens up. And there’s three rows of seating. You heard me right. Three rows. Seven passengers. That’s because there are two jumpseats. Go check it out. It’s really really cool.
I'm just not digging the big screens anymore. I liked mine in my Outback at first, but now, I just notice how inconvenient they are. Constantly have to take my eyes off the road just to adjust the fan speed. I hope car companies just go back to buttons soon.
I would buy this just because I've never heard of it. Design is marvelous! Buy? Uh, yeahhh. Why? It's a Range Rover Tesla on steroids. How would they know? 😀
Anyone else notice the dodge design steering wheel becoming more and more common? My k5 gt had it, look at that wheel and tell me it doesn't look like one from a Durango or charger lol.
Hey Joe, is the any chance you can review Changan Avatar 11. I know you may not have access to it for now since it's only in China, but I was quite amazed by a brief review I watched a few days ago. The car designer is the same as BMW i8 designer so it's quite interesting to see it from your version. Cheers!
This car could be a serious challenger to the Jeep Wrangler as the WORST CAR YOU CAN BUY! Cheap, unrefined, underdeveloped, and not competitive. It looks like an underdeveloped, unfinished product that, quite frankly, would be an embarrassment in any market. You even pay for a battery subscription!! 🤬 VinFast says the cars have not yet received CARB EO certification, which is required before vehicles can be delivered to customers in California or any other state that follows California’s vehicle regulations!!! Currently, VinFast has only six store locations in the U.S., all in California!!! The VinFast still undergoing federal tests and approvals required in the US market!!! This thing is nowhere near ready for the US market. 🙈 This car may not even exist in a few years. Sadly the people who buy this will have a box that is totally worthless. Vinvest is excellent at wining and dining gullible car journalists in Vietnam to get favour. 😡 . This is a great car to recommend…to your ex wife’s mother-in-law!! 0/10 👎🏿
To each his own. Speaking solely for myself.....I'd go with something in the 60k's - 70k's - plenty of lovely crossovers. $30,000 leftover pays for a few decent vacations.
The thing is people dont even have that 30k cash left over to vacation if they decide to buy a cheaper one. Its all loan were talking, only bigger or smaller loan.
