I just purchased a 2024 X5. No sun glasses holder. I hate the ac control being in the screen but over all we love the car. Drove from Seattle to Reno and back 28 mpg. Now have 1800 miles on the car. Love the engine. Powerful.
I agree with all the zonks. I have a 2025 X5 50e model. Yes the criticism about controlling the ac/heat thru the display is cumbersome and distracting. However the ease at telling the personal assistant you are warm or cold is awesome. You can also voice control the seat heating/ventilation.
Have the 22 X545e, the older infotainment was the best, hate the all screen stretched screen thing g on the newer ones. Absolutely love it, 25K zero trouble miles with 45MPG real world! 1000 mile trip are a breeze.
Unless you have get a plug-in hybrid this is the one to buy. I hate admit it but it is really a pretty good value too, given current market pricing. Styling is better than some competitors.
I have a 2024 40i and love the way it drives and the seats are pretty comfortable. I actually like the front end, especially with the matte black grille I have. I thought it would take me a while to get used to the interior screen, but love it! The car is pretty quick too!
Last year I needed more space for my daily routine, so I swapped my 2021 M550i for a 2024 X5 50e. Such a great platform especially with the standard air suspension on both axles of the X5. My wife’s Q5 lease was up this year in May, and we decided to go with the 2024 Rx350… I’ll tell you what for 95% of drivers the RX is all the car they will ever need. Luxurious and comfortable with an easy to use to interface. For me however, a 4cyl was a no-go. I’m enjoying my 489 hp and 515 lb/ft of torque from the B58 and 25kw/h battery pack which yields 40-50 miles depending on outside temperature. I am sold on BMW for life!
I have seen a few of these X5 models on the road recently and I noticed the LED turn signals have a pulsing animation when they flash, similar to what Mazda is doing on their newer models. It looks pretty cool, although I am not a fan of the all red turn signals in the rear as having amber signals is statically safer than red ones.
Joe is one of the main inspirations for me starting this channel, reviewing trims and determining which trim from different models have the best value. From Joe Miggs to Joe Raitis thank you.
Hate to say but 66k sounds very reasonable with the I6. I think the front black slab would look better body color. No direct ac control would be annoying. Otherwise like it. Just leave the wood alone Joe.
My dad ordered one of these about a week ago, it should be coming some time in October, M Sport/M Sport Pro Pkgs are def a MUST HAVE if you’re getting a new X5, imo the X5 and Cayenne are the best in the segment although the Cayenne does get pricy
@@Truckinstuff warranty? I’m not sure how swapping out a single exit tip for a quad tip would ever have anything to do with a warranty issue. With warranty issues the dealership has to allege the failure was materially caused by the alteration. Doesn’t seem like an exhaust tip swap would cause anything to fail. More concerning would be if you installed a tune or changed down pipes etc. A tip swap does changes nothing other than esthetics. If you did a muffler delete, or a cat delete that’s different
Not much of a BMW fan just because of cost of ownership and reliability reasons but holy smoke what a drivetrain! 0-60 time 4.5! and 23/27 gas mileage. Amazing!
X with no x drive never made sense to me. Not considering a bmw until they change the silly ladder speedometer. Joe you are loving that dead pedal doesn’t get much better than that one.
It is a very handsome SUV. It has the performance and the looks. Is it the best? I would say it is among the best looking and you can't deny the wonderful performance and driving dynamics.
I've looked at a lot of BMW's over the years and they still haven't convinced me to buy one yet. My current ride is a 2020 Volvo XC60TI that I would be perfectly happy being buried in though. Love it!
Joe Raiti from Raiti’s Rides would you ever consider doing a review during sunset/golden hour so we can see the headlights and ambient lighting? That would surely increase the risk of busting Bavarian creme
Another great review Joe! I've always loved the X5. However, I just can't stand the digital displays that manufacturers are putting in know. Something about nice analog gauges are sexy, and the digital displays actually seem cheap to me. I don't mind a digital infotainment screen, but don't care about it being a touch screen. I like our Mazda's navigation wheel. I can use it without taking my eyes off the road.
Aside from the updated X5 M, any trim below that the vehicle looks like it has a stuffed-up nose. There's too much gloss black upfront for all the X5 trims. But in all honesty, the updated front facia is nothing too offensive. But that infotainment screen looks so bad since it appears as if it was just stuck onto the dashboard.
@RaitisRides This is true, The BMW is nice, save for that cheaper than Buick screen, with poorly designed images. Buick and Cadillac do that style of screen best, but the Jeep is more capable all round SUV.
My mom has a 2023 MDX Advance, my dad ordered a 2025 BMW X5 40i M Sport about a week ago, they’re both amazing, I wouldn’t recomend the MDX Type-S tho despite how fantastic it is as the low-profile tires will go flat easily on bad roads, it’s not as reliable as the standard MDX, and you still don’t get the performance of the X5, all MDXs are sporty but none of them have performance, even the cheapest X5s perform great
Didn’t BMW say, they don’t make or call their vehicle sports car or sports vehicles rather they make and prefer to call their cars as high performance vehicles
The most exciting thing about this ride is it's name, BMW! Everything is OK, nothing is outstanding! The center consul and sets are classy. The only reason one would take this over say yesterdays reviewed Genesis is the name, BMW! Having said all that, I'll take it over most others in its class because , well yea , its a 2024 BMW X5!
Acura dropped the ball with MDX type S! It is cheaper to buy the much superior X5 because of amazing incentives BMW offers and you get prestige and brand recognition of German luxury, quite more powerful engine, more cargo space, more passenger room, much better tech
Took the heated steering wheel button off *the steering wheel* and buried it in the touchscreen. So dumb. It literally was the best designed/located heated steering wheel button.
