Is the 2024 Genesis G80 Electrified a BETTER luxury sedan than a BMW i5? 

Genesis interiors are always a treat

Honestly looks better than the Tesla model S

My boss has G80e in silver-used to drive a S-Class & Bentleys, says this drives way better and I have been comfortable in the rear. Needed to stop twice though to charge driving from Bay Area to LA (Ventura)

As an owner of its combustion cousin, I approve this message. The ride folks is second to none and extremely quiet to boot for both gas and electric!

The design looks really good, it definitely stands out from the rest.

$80K is crazy high, but the car is beautiful

I've had my Genesis Electrified G80 for 18 months, and can honestly say its the best car I've owned! And I say that after owning Jaguar's for twenty yeats and a Maserati for seven years. Here in the UK Genesis are relatively rare, and my car often gets confused for some sort of Bentley, which at £85,000 means it costs a fraction of the price! BTW here in Europe you can spec a Solar panel roof, and whilst it adds a small amount of additional charge, given our climate as opposed to where you are, I am surprised its not available in the U.S, particularly in the sunnier states!

Interesting how they make it look almost exactly like the gas version.

I will consider this my number 1 midsized sedan; however, I like the V-6 sports prestige.

Better than German options the look is classic and high tech without the all the screens all over the place. Excellente choice for those who can afford it. Legacy autos have lost all the interest because they wanted to copy Tesla on stile and design… should have just copied Tesla on tech…

Very well styled. Like interior with screen and knobs. Odd steering wheel as per all Genesis. I was shocked at how goofy BMW has become both ext and int. Still not enough to make me go electric though.

Awesome car, probably the one sole Zonk is the range, this is a larger than avg vehicle but it should still get around 400 miles per charge, this car could have that range but car builders are not pushed to give long range even though you can get a battery for a Tesla Model S that gives 750 miles range. ---- One thing to note is about fast charging the battery, while everyone talks about fast charging that is the one thing that all EV car makers talk about as hurting the battery, doing fast charging a lot can reduce the life of the battery packs on any EV vehicle so if you are charging at home, etc you are better off to let it charge slow.

Nice color. Yes, art deco is good description. No sunroof is fine with me, so I am taking Joe's zonk away. A cornucopia of apps.....I do like KIA infotainment system....not sure about the cornucopia descripto. Agree Genesis door floor plate should light up.

My house uses around 74kwh a week. Evs are such a scam. Go with the ice version. Save some money

This is a tough segment Genesis is taking on. Down side is Elon dropped the price of the Model S. Now it’s at the same price point with more range and a better charging network.

Joe. Reality is in 99% of United States theee are no dc fast chargers. And the few that exist don’t work. And that 290’range with any air or heat on will be a realistic 220 range in city and around 160ish on highway. If temp outside below 45-50 knock another 30 miles off range. I’ve own now theee new EV’s and for me work as I can have level 2 charger in my garage and work two miles from Home. For the 99% of population is not possible. Toyota has it correct HYBRID is the future.
