Hey Joe great video free speak to Steven about the vehicle that I told him about the 69 charger Hellcat these are real hellcats at the bodies are removed and turn into carbon fiber any color you want and many have been built not a one-off car and right now they're doing they're doing a 1969 Daytona Coupe with the wing and everything out of carbon fiber it's red and it looks like the winning car for the 1970 season driving by Bobby Isaac

I have to admit to just how attractive this large SUV is, Joe. I've been a reluctant consumer when these various EVs or BEVs have been offered over the past few years, however, a few friends have made purchases of EVs this year and they are, quite honestly, amazing. I guess my only remaining concern is the relatively short battery range and the high MSRP with so many of these vehicles. Anyway, I always appreciate the wealth of data and effort you guys put forth with each of these offerings.

The new Escalades are awesome, looks and body lines are crisp. If Cadillac does something in the future, the crossover such as XT4 and XT5 should have a V-Line package. Speaking as an early adopter of electric vehicle technology (I purchased a Tesla S100D in 2018 and drove it for 3 years) I must point out that while the vehicles themselves are typically rock solid, my Tesla was one of the best built and engineered vehicles, ICE or electric, I've ever owned and I've owned more than I can count, that's not where the problem lies. Raiti mentions the 800V charging architecture and while that's great where the heck are you going to find one? The biggest challenges lie in the infrastructure that supports the electric vehicles; what do I mean by that? Too few charging stations, chargers that are typically out of service (usually at least 50% of the available chargers), idiots that park their ICE vehicles in the charging spots then go shopping or dining, overly long charging times and most important range. In my opinion until the range, charging time and charger availability issues are mitigated I don't see the public adopting EV in any large numbers. Great video as usual thanks for your hard work!

@4literv6 11 месяцев назад
Well said, currently only about 2% of us none tesla/nacs dc fast chargers even support 350kws and 800+v capability. And we won't mention their reliability rate either right. 😀 But come 2025 tesla and nacs port being installed as standard along with the new v4 1000v scers will ease that charging anxiety by a lot. 👍🏻😎

Your Tesla experience is solid, and you're right - it's not the vehicles themselves causing the headache. But seriously, finding those fancy 800V charging spots can feel like a treasure hunt. And let's not even start on the parking spot hogs! Honestly, until charging gets easier, faster, and more available, this EV craze might just keep inching along. Your insight is pretty on-point - thanks for the reality check!

Thank you, Joe and Lori for delivering another great overview. Having been driving GM, more specifically, Cadillac vehicles for 22 years, it is a pleasure to have a tangible glimpse into what GM will be bringing to the "new" world where EV's are expected be the primary mode of transportation. The design language of not just Cadillac but of most automobile designs in the car world has morphed into some very attractive vehicles. The soul of the ICE vehicle may be leaving but the spirit of what is to come feels good! Great Job to the Cadillac team for this one!

I think this and the celestiq are very promising for Cadillac, I just hope they can produce these at a reasonable amount while gm produce other evs for Chevy, gmc and Buick

The Celestiq seems like it's more of an expression of the cost no object. It's not meant for high production and low cost. The Escalade is just the high end 3 row SUV, while Chevy, GM have lower priced versions. I don't know if Buick is going to ever produce the large 3 row SUV since they already have Chevy, GM and Cadillac which already sell quite well. I honestly don't know why Buick is still hanging around, they aren't really doing much other than they seem more on life support.

You got it! It's like hoping Cadillac does well with these fancy cars, but also that GM can make enough other electric cars for their other brands like Chevy, GMC, and Buick. It's kind of like a dance - everyone needs to be in sync!
@Oneness100
@Oneness100 11 месяцев назад
@@AutomotiveWoman What I would do if I were the head of GM, I would take out Buick and GMC and spread their engineers and marketing people over to either Chevy or Cadillac and just focus on those two brands. Chevy offers a wider range of commercial trucks and vans than GMC. Chevy offers the same SUVs and there's nothing THAT special about the GMC brand. People know Chevy Trucks and SUVs, and cars. I think Chevy could focus on a more affordable luxury trim level for all of their vehicles along with the other affordable trims, rather than putting them under the Buick or GMC labels.

I'm looking forward to the functionality of the screens as well though. Is it equally compatible for different phones, what software will be on it, what apps can you download, what music player like carplay? Navigation system? I'm ready to explore more into this! Also, did I miss the roof options?

I'm not in the land yacht market or the EV market but, if I was, this would have to be near or at the top of the list. Note that it is a concept/pre-production model so the vehicle may change a bit inside and out. If I'm building a GM 2-car garage, I think i gotta go with one of the Caddy EVs and a Corvette C8 Z06.

Cadillac's starting point of $150K could be a problem because the people that can spend this kind of money could probably just go for a Bently SUV. Looks good but dang its pricy LOL
