I just purchased a 2024 Ford Explorer ST for my Family. This SUV is a Beast and look super cool.

I'm not religious but THANK GOD they fixed that dang screen. The vertical iPad made this a "no go" for me the last few years but now I might need to reconsider. Another great post, Joe. Cheers.

I feel like Raiti’s Rides is only about a 90% sell out. Gorilla glue, and you can get there faster with the more horsepower… ford loves this kind Of stuff, they can deny the claims as they can’t speak this way or back it up, yet they get the benefits from a 3rd party review. Now you can’t completely look like a sell out so you better critique something (wiper blade)so people think you are somewhat genuine and honest. Don’t talk about the elephant in the room (recent and not so recent reliability issues that continue to Go unsolved or fixed) don’t get me wrong I love ford, I’d even still buy it. But I prefer more honesty. Now don’t forget to highlight my comment, as if it gets a lot thumbs up’s and you don’t highlight it will look like you are hiding something. A very common business strategy. Enjoy those kickbacks and benefits.

When are they going to put the Predator engine in one of these. Trackhawk who?

I use to own two 2020 explorer st look awesome and unique with black out wheels. This new explorer looks like old explorer and crossover with other brands…

The exhaust dumps down like that because if it didn’t, the whole back of the car would get caked in carbon like my focus st does

This is a beautiful suv and I’m a Chevy guy but the only zonk i do have is the flat black fender wells i would rather for them to color match them

Yes the fenders should’ve had the body color for sure. I would still pick the Telluride over this, they should bring back Eddie Bauer edition or at least King Ranch with two tone paint job

I have a 21 ST...bang for buck, cannot be beat. Just wish the new one had adaptive suspension.

HEY FORD…..ELIMINATE THE AUTO START/STOP FUNCTION…..Not a button that one has to push every time it’s started…..dumbest invention ever….

They need to go at least 4 caliper preferably 6 caliper brakes up front.

From the burgundy color, to the hood bulge, to the nice black wheels....it really looks good. I describe it as "really horny looking" but really not sure what that actually means...lol.

I’m not sold on the layout of that new digital gauge cluster with the map taking up almost the entire screen, also no one has yet to show CarPlay integration or what that would look like in the gauge cluster and also in the infotainment. Hoping someone does this soon!!! I’ll have to see if the gauge cluster is customizable I prefer the album art up on the left and the speed in the middle, don’t need the google maps if I’m not even using that for navigation

The update looks good. I like the new added Google tech. I wish they kept the black wheels. Those shout ST to me. On a black vehicle, these new one's stand out in a bad way.

I agree with you Joe on the styling on the front. Don’t like the fender cladding as well. I do wish they would’ve given it a little bump in HP. Overall, especially given the price point. A nice package!

From your review. I feel the 2025 Explorer ST is at the top of the mid size performance SUV segment when you consider it's over looks. Performance. The upgraded overall interior with it's new dual digital infotainment displays. The 2025 Explorer ST now includes many extras like the dual panel sun roof that were previous options making the 2025 Explorer ST a solid bang for the buck.

I’m in a 2020 and I cant wait to upgrade to this 2025 this or in the year 2025 !!!

I am impressed with the new design. Interior dash is excellent and the sound bar integration is a great unique and all alone design by Ford. Nobody else thought of it or have it. Exterior looks good too. My only zonk I can think of is that third row legroom. Looks like it’s still about an inch or more less legroom than the Grand Highlander, new Traverse, and Honda Pilot. But still a good looking SUV that will definitely sell!

I work at a dealership and have been blessed with a demo perk so I have driven freely in all the new SUV models, from Escapes to Bronco Sports, Explorers and Expeditions. Ford has done so well on these 24s and 25s cramming as much bang for your buck as you can get, technology especially! At the age of 35 however, I feel like an old senile senior that is inflexible to change and forced to get with the ages to learn the digital touchscreen climate controls. IMO it requires taking your hand and eyes off the wheel longer than the old knobs under the centerstack which in my opinion were easier to use and safer. At least until you get enough reps in for it to become muscle memory anyway. But all jokes aside though, the value in these Fords is insane!!!

We have a 20 and 21 Explorer ST..... 2025 no reason to update ours. 😮

Nah, that crown goes to the Lotus Eletre or the Lucid Gravity on the upper end. I would say the Fisker Ocean is better than the Explorer at a lower price point.

The plastics on the lower part of the bodywork make it look low budget. Seat controls on the door panel seem more accessible and intuitive.

I own a 2020 st street pack, I love the new looks of the 25 not a fan of none projector Headlights for the cost so I'll make the switch to the ranger raptor with dual projector Headlights

I had a couple of Explorers back in the 80"s before I switched to the Expedition. It's about time they updated this model. Would have been nice if they painted the outside wheel wells. The inside is great and I like the soundbar going across the dash for us hard of hearing rockers from the 70's &80's! Great review!

I’m not sure how annoying that sensor on the steering wheel would be but it sucks it’s not for active cruise as I first thought maybe another model will be compatible with the sensor

I really like it, though I wish the climate controls were physical buttons instead of in the infotainment screen. Also, with the number of times you remark about having the rear glass wiper manufactured hidden, you'd think companies catch wind of this from other consumers and act on it.🤨

I was waiting for the new multimedia, and it's cool that they updated it, but Mazda took the lead for me personally. My vote goes to the CX-90 for the same money. Ford looks cheaper outside and inside

Very nice looking vehicle, I just wish Ford would get their act together when it comes to reliability. Too many recalls and issues with a majority of their vehicles.

I have the 2022 ford explorer ST and the black upgraded rims look much better than these. Also my 2022 looks much more aggressive. I’ll be switching to the aviator this year.

The ST has been at 400 hp for multiple years now. Manufacturers usually don’t keep things stale for too many years!

I like the new face-lift, the square grill is a much better look for Ford as a whole

Can’t stand the 2025. The wife wants her 5th Explorer but, Ford is making it hard. Too late to order 2024 without unwanted options. About ready to walk away from ford. Been Ford products since 1978.

So sad Ford lost their soul. Explores should be the Ranger Station Wagon (not SUV) the way Expedition is the F150 SW... But they decided to complete forget what the vehicle is about and sell their soul to the devil, turning it on a smaller vehicle to accommodate the "SUV" hype and to add aggravation to injury, an ugly one. At this size, there are way better options that are not ugly as the explorer. Honestly, the Explorer looks like an old small SUV that was "puffed up" to look bigger and feminine but still looks small, old and honestly plain ugly lines. Design is horrible. We are close to buy a mid-size 3r vehicle and at this point we think the Traverse beats the expedition in every single aspect you look at

screen is better but i hate that they put all the seat and climate control in the screen. i'll keep the one i have, vert screen isn't that bad

'If it ain't broke don't fix it?' Ford Explorers are nothing BUT broke. Garbage transmissions, buried sub-$100 parts that require you to pull the engine to replace, paint that chips and flakes within the first few years, massive electrical bugs, etc... I've been a Ford man all my life, but not anymore. It's a damn shame what these engineers have done with a legendary name in trucks. They ALL suck now and end up spending more time on a lift at the dealer than on the road. This is just a 2011 Explorer with a facelift, hardly worth $60K.

After watching your presentation on the 25 ST, earlier this week. My wife and I drove to R E Barber Ford in Holland, and put an order in for the loaded ST. I included the Black feature in the top and the A & B pilers. I’m disappointed in one item, we ordered it in the Rapid Red color and I want chrome rims on this awesome vehicle so it will look even better than those painted rims. I’m excited to get it.

The interior upgrades are almost perfect. They should have gotten rid of that weird ledge under the buttons and put the wiresless charger in that flip up console (and made that a bit bigger). No physical HVAC buttons is a HUGE miss, ruined the whole update for me with that screw up.

Same lame turd of a motor. Put the Mustang motor in it if you are going to call it "performance". I wont buy another one.

Ugly Grill and Wheels are terrible (should have black wheels like before) Should be at least 5600 towing capacity.

Way too much gray plastic everywhere. They need to do some color matching. And for gods sake, I’m always seeing through the plastic panels to the insides behind those parts. Makes it looks really cheap.

Like the 20-24 grille If the want the turbo air colder upgrade and enlarge the intercooler instead of using the EDGE 1. Yes paint fender flares. Add back glove box and arm console lights.

They’ll find a way to price this around 60k. And why do all sporty models have to come with a blacked out interior? It’s depressing in there.

Front end looks good but the Ford Emblem needs to be smoked to match that black glossy appeal. Also, offer some black wheels to tie it all together.

Have a 2021 Explorer sport in red excellent suv MY 2021 will be paid off in 2025 so definitely a new one in 2025 the explorer st will be the next one

I have a 20' and a 21' ST 1 for me and wife. They have the best damn brakes I ever had on any vehicle we have the Steet Performance package on both. Glad they updated wireless charging my phones won't fix in older years.

I’m gonna be honest the unfinished plastic cladding has nothing to do with off-roading all these car manufacturers. Keep trying to pitch that it’s rugged and for off Roading and what not. No it’s cost cutting point blank that’s it nothing more to it.

I think it looks a little bit less aggressive than the previous. The interior is a big step up.

Do they offer a hybrid with non-turbo ICE? I won’t buy an eco-boost or turbo anything, even attached to an EV hybrid.

It's a lovely SUV indeed, but I'm still drawn to the Durango V8 even though they haven't changed much but the minor refresh in the 2021 model and up got me.

Like the interior changes, rims are butt ugly, but standard panoramic roof with no option for delete sucks.

Am Zonking the infotainment screen. Don't know why all of the auto companies doing that.

Imo the previous gen ST looked better. Only downside was that ugly vertical screen in the dash

As much as I hate those tablets on the dash, I must say this one looks pretty nice.

3rd row is basically squatting. Other 3 rows give better 3rd rows. It's not worth the price.

The front end is boring it's safe but boring, Mazda is doing it best. Also, Hyundai design is doing well.
