In the world of guitars there are countless companies making copies of Fenders and Gibsons at every price point imaginable. No one calls them homages. No one gets angry about it(except Fender and Gibson)
Hahaha yup so true. The watch community is full of pompous snobs with insecurity issues. You also don't see folks in the guitar commit claiming this other brand guitars sound horrible . At the end of the day a skilled guitar player can make even the cheapest of guitars sound good.
You’re so right. Instead of praising a watch for what it is or has, they try to make it look better by bashing other watches. I like reviews that review what a watch is, not what the reviewer wants it to be. Great review, by the way!
Great Video, Thanks for sharing. I have 4 Addiesdive watches they are all phenomenal.. And agree These watches are just as nice as a Rolex with better lume at that .. I just don’t see how a watch can be any better than these ..
Although I have some automatics, I got the quartz version of the Addiesdive, the H3QZ rather than the H3AC, not only due to the fact that it's less expensive (same watch, different movement) but I prefer the accuracy of a quartz. I'm rather OCD when it comes to that and I don't have to be concerned with the watch gaining or losing time as automatics do. I'm happy.
I had it, it's good watch... had Cronos also but San Martin is by far the best... Got it with sw200 and I don't see anything better in that price range
I got myself the Addisdive. Love it...but the Bracelet is a bit Sharp. The Cyclops has after two days a tiny scratch,... (none of a Watches have Scrathes). The Seconds hands doesnt hit the Markesrs. Whats the REal Deal for Cheap. The Steeldive?
Steeldive is good but I'd say its on par with addiessive. I'd say a scratched cyclops is just bad luck. I don't think you'll find much a difference across brands. It seems like you got a bad one

Je voulais re remercier pour cette vidéo, Je viens de changer radicalement mon point de vue sur les montres hommage, étant collectionneur avertis, je ne voulais pas en entendre parler, je trouvez çà ridicule, mais les priorités de la vie, mettre sa passion en second plan, car peu de monde dise que c'est une passion qui revient chère, et encore plus aujourd'hui, j'ai accumulé au fil des années une collection de montre suisses, françaises vintage, pour beaucoup des nos ( neuf de stock), aujourd'hui pour retrouver des montres comme celles là c'est quasiment impossible. J'ai bien sûr d'y moderne, d'ailleurs certaines montre qu'on achète, il y a deux à cinq ans sont plus chères aujourd'hui. J'ai eu une belle somme, j'ai voulu acheter une rolex vintage, finalement ca ne c'est pas fait. Ma voiture m'a lâche, elle était vieille, j'ai finalement pris une voiture neuve, en plus quand on est père de famille avec un enfant en bas âge, c'est lui qui doit passer en premier. En début d'été, je me suis fait voler une casio g-shock, sur mon lieu de travail, je possède d'ailleurs une belle collection, j'étais dégoûté, je regarde et connais certains youtuber de chaînes horlogère, un a conseiller de prendre pour l'été une skmei pour un prix ridicule, Je suis allé sur aliexpress sans grande certitude, j'ai commandé la montre, en plus bizarrement elle est passé à- 90 %, je pensé vraiment à une arnaque, Mais pour le prix ce n'était pas un grand risque. Quand je l'ai reçu je suis resté bête, la qualité était très bonne, pas comparable au casio mais quand même très bonne, j'ai même nager avec sans problème. Quelques temps après je suis parti sur une pagani design, avec un seiko vh 31, vraiment une quartz vraiment cool, moi qui possède des montres mécanique, c'est bluffant, c'est un modèle qui a fait fureur sur le youtube horloger international et aussi francais. Un lointain hommage à une grand Seiko. Elle est vraiment magnifique pour le petit prix, je possède du seiko vintage dont un modèle avant le king seiko, , et elle rivalisse avec, ainsi que du seiko moderne.,bien sûr sans ce cas je parle de la qualité du cadran et des finitions, car je ne compare pas du méga quarts avec des mécaniques ou automatiques. Et enfin ta vidéo ma convaincu je l'ai pris sur aliexpress pour un prix ridicule, j'ai vraiment pris une claque. C'est ma première hommage plongeuse, elle à était rejoindre, une casio duro première génération, une seiko skx007, une sumo première génération- scuba dite blumo, une orient ray 2, une citizen ecodrive promaster 300 mètres, une spinnaker amalfi, et chez gshock une frogman. C'est la plongeuse la moins chère de la collection et ça finition est parfaite, elle rivalisse largement avec ma sumo. Je le dit les Chinois sont très fort, j'ai payé avant trop chère pour une certaine qualité. Ce compromis est super des montres de qualité pour dix fois moins chère, exemple une seiko Prosper en solde c'est vers les 400v euros. Encore merci à toi pour tes conseils et ton expérience sur les montres hommage. D'ailleurs pas mal de youtuber mon déçu car, il finisse par faire du placement de produit et conseils des marques, qui sont pires que les marques d'aliexpress, d'ailleurs la majorité des micro marques, ce serve en chine, et après ils vendent leur montres trop chère.
I'm an Addiesdive fan. I own a Tuna "Hulk" and a vintage (NTTD) style "sub". Both have NH35A movements and keep great time. Great lume, branded crowns and case backs. The best bit? £40-50 each from AE, delivered incl. import duties and Tax. The only 'cheap' aspect of either watch is the sterile pressed thin steel clasp. It more than does the job. No biggie. The best "Sub" IMO is the Steeldive SD1953. £20 more than the Addiesdive but better/milled/branded clasp, brushed centre links and tighter bezel action (which I prefer - it doesn't get adjusted accidentally...). I also prefer that it doesn't have a lume pip - the whole bezel is lumed with BGW9. It's not perfect because the Cyclops appears to over-magnify a bit. Again, no biggie.. Pagani Design can be cool too. I own Seamaster 300m Diver and Planet Ocean homages from PD. Exhibition casebacks are not critical and can lower the water resitancy. Main issue with PD is the poor lume but I rarely need to read my watch at night... usually asleep. The bargain basment "Sub" has to be the Lige 6801. My "Smurf" is absolutely gorgeous looking. Butterfly clasp is a bit odd. 28,800Hz movement sweeps better than the Seiko and keeps good time so far. Bezel action is a bit lighter than I prefer and lume is average but it's available at £20-25.... What more could you want?
Hy is this best value for money than steeldive quartz, ( 99€)?? Or do you believe that i should go for the steeldive 1953 automatic 99€ , a bit to expensive compared to this, does it worth only for being automatic and a litle bit better specs??
I really cannot answer that questions as there are far too many watches out there that I consider an excellent value. I prefer automatics but I also wear quartz too. You need to buy what you actually like not buy a watch based on the specs.
I bought a Raymond Weil Freelancer and paid 1800 a year later the same watch went down and is currently selling for around 900. I only buy watches between 1-500 now and I’m much happier and don’t have to worry about losing money.
Got the same Freelancer. Sell them after 2 years of usage. Decrease of the price is so significant, damn. Purchased this homage 2 days ago. Waiting for delivery. Will see))
@@PhatkatCollections well, being more accurate is better, only costing $37 is better, and let’s be honest, the look is one of the primary reasons for buying an homage, so getting the same look for less is better.
Hmmm. If price is the same. I'd have to go Addiesdive. However sometimes you can get. The pro diver for half the cost. There are many great homage watches out there. Check out duxot too . Pagani, steeldive, Addiesdive , tactical frog all the same quality .
Listen I have a 5 digit sub that I got in 05 and a BB58 and a few others. I say this is a great watch for the value. All get what you enjoy and if you cannot get a Rolex Sub but want one I agree with this guy and get this watch, San Martin or even the controversial OCEAN rover. There isn’t anything wrong with it. Super clones is a different story though.
For sure. I personally would NEVER spend more than 300ish on a watch. I personally don't see enough of a difference in quality or function to rationalize such a purchase.
There is a difference. It is a matter of preference. Some people spend a lot of money on cars like a BMW. Why I don’t understand. I would take an old Toyota 4 Runner over any BMW. All they do is get stuck in the snow. lol!! To me that watch in your video is a well made watch and if someone wants something like a Submariner I totally agree this is the way to go.
Just curious, why is the steel on black always the one shown to represent Rolex? What I mean is, are blue dials or metal bezels less valuable in the market? I also see a lot of Pepsi bezels? Is there some unique history with those?
I've got multiple pro divers and I've modded a few and I wear those for work because I don't care if they get banged up but they have definitely held up well. I'm on heavy equipment and working with hand tools 5 days a week and I still have the first Pro Diver 8928 OB I bought 11 years ago and I still get 7+seconds a day with it
NO DOUBT GREAT REVIEW YES GREAT VALUE FOR MONEY BUT BETTER THAN INVICTA PRO DIVER IS PUSHING IT. I RESPECT YOUR OPINION BUT I THINK YOU'RE TOO EXCITED OVER THIS WATCH. I RECENTLY BOUGHT 6 WATCHES 5 PAGANI WATCHES AND 1 ADDIESDIVE AD2040 FRO £25. I HAD TO THIS IN THE CART IT WAS GOING FOR £23 INCLUDING TAX BUT I DON'T WANT TO EXCEDE MY BUDGET OF £180.
