Some carnivals use a scam where the ball can’t fit

It's usually slightly bent in from the front to back (hard to see that way) the rim is bolted in (making it super tight, and makes ball bounce off higher) over inflate basketballs, and then make rim a few inches off 10 ft. It's only possible if you swish with a rainbow shot. I've done it and even making it feels wrong because we shouldn't encourage others to play it.

I saw a rim at a carnival that was bent so the ball couldn't get through. Total scam. I called the booth operator out after watching a young boy try repeatedly to make a shot. Always get a side view of the rim before giving them your $$.

I did this at Sea World. I first shot all high arcs. Then paid another $10 and the game sales rep gave me a pointer and said, “put less spin. Shoot it like a floater.” I took 2 floaters and after the 3rd it went straight in. Make a video on this again and try shooting floaters with high arc.

when i was at a carnival after shooting i took a look at the rims from the side and the rim was a complete oval so it was impossible for the ball to go in or even get stuck.

I hope you guys know if you ever go to a carnival the rims are bent a lil bit so the ball won't be able to fit inside the rim basically stealing money

U have to shoot up high n have a perfect swish, I went to the Berlin fair last night n my boyfriend who’s 6’4 n plays basketball 3 nights a week n is really good made it 4th try just had to get a feel for it on his third try he said alright I got it n then made it n got me a huge price, it’s possible to make but very hard for someone who has no basketball skills n even then it’s super hard

I made one yesterday at the state fair on my first shot. I paid for three shot and they didn’t let me go again because you’re only allowed one prize per person lol. I had to gave the Steph Curry night night after I made for the people watching. Felt like I won a championship 😂

There are NBA players that can't start hitting these until they warm up and get a feel for it. You obviously can't do it with an NBA star, but I'd like to see a video of an unknown NBA or WNBA player going to a carnival and playing this game. It would take a few throws, but eventually they would get it down and start sinking one right after the other. I'd love to see the look on their faces as they're being cleaned out of prizes 😂

It's not just the double rim working against you to make sure you miss. 😂 Have you ever seen a ball roll around the rim 2 times before dropping in the goal? Well, that can't happen on a bent oval rim. It can't make a full circle on an oval. The rim diameter is only 1 inch wider than the ball. The ball is over inflated. The height is wrong. The he distance is wrong. The rim has almost no flex and bolted too rigid. You'll need luck or the ability to constantly keep making micro adjustments to your shot. That's harder to do if you only buy your shots 1 at a time. It's better to buy shots 5 or 10 at a time. If you are not a professional NBA shooter you'll have to think outside the box. Shoot with zero spin on the ball. Dont rely on proper jumpshot form. Shoot floaters, rainbow shots with high arcs or 2-handed underhand toss. Forget about bankshots. You want all net. The rim is the enemy. 😂
