Hubby and I “went Carnivore “ in September. Hubby is a Type 1 Diabetic since he was 16. We were a little nervous going against the Diabetic Diet! We both lost a lot of weight, increased energy, lower pain levels, and much more mental clarity!!! We aren’t going back! His blood sugars have been NORMAL! His blood pressure went down! He will have to cut back on his meds! He went from using 70-80 units of insulin a day to 10 units! We are so happy and healthy!

This is one of the best videos I've seen. I listen and watch Dr. Josh Axe and now Paul is on my list. I am 72 & a half years old and have had one common cold in 35 years, My aunt is 96 and refuses to go to a nursing home. My great grandfather lived to be 92 and my other grandfather had emphysema and phlebitis and had 2 heart attacks and still lived to be in his late 80's. My mom had open heart surgery at 69 and still lived to be 82, mostly we ate great diets, plenty of sun and outdoor work and slept very well. I still do as I did when I was young. Thanks to Dr. Axe and Paul you can to.

Hey! Hey! I grew up in the late 1940's 1950's and 1960's. On the FARM. BUTCHERED A COW AND OR HOG, OURSELVES. EVERY YEAR UNTIL ABOUT 1959. MY MOTHER AND FATHER UTILIZED EVERY THING OF THE ANIMAL. MY MOTHER WAS CANNING BEEF IN JANUARY THE DAY I was born. I learned how she prepared every part of the animal body.

As someone who’s a Christian and done the Carnivore diet (and doing it again for autoimmune purposes), I believe in everything that’s said up until the evolution assertions. So, I was grateful to hear a respectful disagreement by Dr Josh in that area yet an agreement concerning the food science with a creationist perspective. Also, kudos to Dr Paul responding with humility and respect. Great episode!

The principle that something must die in order for something else to live can be really inspiring and seems to be somewhat "spiritual" but it's closest to nature than anything else. My grandfather once asked me why I went vegetarian and I told him I grew up with animals dying around me on a farm so I knew that killing animals to get meat is a harsh thing to do. Then he told me, that he doesn't like it either. He never did but when he was a young adult he once had to kill a cow because he grew up on a farm and he did it really fast and the cow didn't had to suffer for long and when other members of the family did it, he seemed it to be more cruel. So he decided to be the butcher every time because he could do it well and fast and also he was the shepherd of the cows so they knew and trusted him and stayed calm. He knew it was necessary and that the cows and pigs nourishes the whole family. He also told me that the fat was the most important part of a pig or animal. He said bone broth is important for my joints and the fat for my brain. He was just a simple man and he acted out of respect to the animals. Not because he liked to kill. We all have responsibilites and I can understand that when Paul says he respectfully harvests a deer. Such experiences make us humble and thankful and it's in the nature, not only the human nature. There is no separation between nature and humans. We depend on it. Thanks for the content.
@josie4peace

Thank you so much for your sensitive input. I grew up on my Grandpa and Grandma's farm and also witnessed much killing. To this day, age 55, I still can not eat meat. We were born vegetarians and will be vegans in Heaven (no bloodshed). Eating meat is not a sin, but it doesn't feel natural when an animal has to suffer in any manner.

I have lupus. I eat paleo because I feel the best eating this way. My naturopath said eat plant-based. I do eat a lot of plants, but I’ve done vegan and I had terrible welts on my legs from being barley touched. I started eating meat and the welts went away. And I’ve done keto and had shooting pain in my arms and it was terrible. So paleo for me and everyone is different. And evolution is bogus. Also, I agree, nuts shouldn’t be over consumed while on paleo. It’s so easy to make a “paleo” bread with almond flour and that’s tasty, but not natural.

@@benedictvoon812 Same! the fewer vegetables I eat, the better my digestion is. I don't have issues with soluble fiber tho, from fruit for example. And contrary to popular belief, meat, fish, egg yolks, digest pretty easily. Insoluble fiber stabs my colon, making it feel as if there's glass inside my gut, not fun. Higher fat, animal-based diet is the way to go for me.
@systemtrend3194

@BlessedOne686
@BlessedOne686 2 года назад
Lol you will be constipated for like a day because as dr berg teaches us much constipation comes with either removing or adding fibre back into the diet. So I recommend everyone should do is have a laxative (only if needed) for the first day or two then you will be fine. You don’t need fibre. After that u will feel great

This is interesting. However so so so many are advocating plant-based diet nowadays and I understand that research also people who live on plant-based diet live longer (but that could be due to other factors)? I have been moving towards a more plant-based diet but am having second thought now. It would be great if there’s a video to clear up the “toxicity in various plants”. Dr Paul seems to be very clear on the toxicity of different plants, while that may be true, would like to understand if there has been research on human that shows that these plants are indeed toxic to humans and our bodies are not able to just absorb the goods and discard the bads. This remains a big question mark to me. Thanks for the video.
@TokyoHottie
@TokyoHottie 3 года назад
I think it's all about balance in consuming of resources we have. It's true that some plants have toxicity, but you just have to know which ones and how to destroy them like lectins. Check out Dr. Gundry and his podcast and you will learn more about lectins and how to prevent them. Let me know your thoughts after.
@KevinClein78
@KevinClein78 3 года назад
@@TokyoHottie thanks very much for the response, much appreciated. I saw one of Dr Gundry videos a while back, I think he did mention like raw Spinach and chia seeds and some other superfoods are bad. But somehow it just didn’t stick as I find it hard to believe that spinach could be bad. In anycase I have since cooked my spinach. But this is a whole new level that argues that carnivore based diet is superior than plant based and plant based diet comes with toxicity. I just wish someone who is in more neutral ground (without associated with their own products) would do a video on this. I remain confused I have to say.
