There is a difference between "hearing" and "listening" to what the community says. CG definitely hears us, they just want to do what maximizes profit. The gear change only happened because CG will make more money on forcing players to get GL or conquest characters, which is why those characters are so overpowered. The only way to get the price down is to not buy any of these battle passes or calendar until they are lowered in price.

Star Wars has high IP licensing fees. Also a game has a lifecycle so there is an end. EA is stretching that end of game timeline since it is already past game peak revenue in 2017. If people not buy anything, then to them it means game lost popularity and would get shutdown.

Conquest is literally a textbook example of a game company artificially creating a problem that didn't exist, and then selling you the key to fixing that problem. It's exactly what happened with things like Battlefield 2 when it first came out, and it's among the most predatory practices in the games industry. I can't help but think that this type of garbage is exactly why Disney declined the extend their exclusivity deals with EA - the Star Wars name has been dragged through the mud because of this practice.

Now that they have started this Conquest, it's even worse. They increased the amount of Conquest energy required per battle (changed from 14 to 20 on Normal mode). Buying the Conquest Pass+ just means you can battle at the same level as before, otherwise it's slower now.

You nailed it when you mentioned a price point of 5$ for a calendar reward system. Over a year that would be 60$ which is more than fair for a brower collection game with very little mechanics or development requirements. The valuation CG puts on their game just forces me to not reward them.

I loved conquest on release - it was interesting, fun, not too hard, not too easy. Then they mangled and butchered it into some strange pay-to-win amalgamation. Defeat 14 nodes with all BH's? aka "play this tier way too many times" aka "GIVE ME MONEY IF YOU WANT TO WIN" Like you said, and it's clear the top-brass at CG loved the idea "let's make conquest obnoxiously hard, then sell the solution". I really hope no one buys the pass and it's a complete failure.

You definitely could wait until the end for the conquest pass to evaluate how far you went. However, the conquest pass+ is best to buy early rather than later to enjoy the extra stamina and energy regeneration.

And I nerf herder thought (before they showed us their "deal") that they at least will promote it with good deals for the start and only slowly alter it to worse ones over time hoping that we don't notice.

First time I attempted the hard path I got all rewards except the final one. Ever since they made their changes, I can’t reach the second last or sometimes third last chest. And that’s going from one GL (Luke) to 2 (SLKR)I’d consider spending the $10. If they rolled back the difficulty to what it was at the beginning

I’m still working on getting my first GL (also Luke) and starting to gear up my First Order more for SLKR after that, so I’ve been sticking to normal mode Conquest and only getting the last crate on the last day. No way am I getting the pass at this rate.

I recently got my GAS to seven star and have it as a useable squad so I was excited to push (normal) conquest farther this time. Super disappointed with the new feats as this will likely mean I won’t be able to get slightly close to the rewards I was getting before :(

You're also missing that stun guns are more easily available now (challenges) and thus their value is lower. It's not good value IMO.

Off topic about the Conquest Pass, but I used to be a person who liked conquest for the challenge of CG raining hell on me with things like overprepared to test out my characters and roster. However, this conquest pissed me off when the easy conquest was added and the normal conquest had a 2+ million GP requirement. I have always done well in the normal conquest getting the 3rd of 4th crate, but now I have to fight in easy mode which doesn't have the same rewards and difficulty as normal. I thought your F2P account might also feel that as well.

Is this a one time buy that applies to every conquest or would I have to buy it every conquest? If its a one timer then I would definitely buy it for the stamina and energy boosts alone but if its a repeated purchase I'm not spending £30 for a pass that kind of improves it for 2 weeks.

I guess the other point of “value” in the $30 pack is also that the energy refresh increase will mean not having to buy the minimum of 4 refreshes to be able to complete it. Obvs, for a lot of people that is done with the free crystals from arena, but I guess that’s not the case for everyone. Still not worth the 30 bucks though…

Right we need to see after this conquest, but last conquest didn’t need a lot of crystals to complete but it might be trickier this time. I wouldn’t want to spend $30 for that but it is a consideration as you mentioned for sure

I really don't know how to feel. The conquest pass doesn't affect me since I'm f2p (and also still too confusing), the core gear calendar seems meh, the relic calendar in my opinion should have some gear 13 lvl up gear, the list goes on. Even omnicrons seem meh right now since they don't seem useful at the moment. Yah...I'm going to get that free calendar now

If I were cg, I would've made the pay calendars far more lucrative, but make them so that you have to log in every day. And make a dolphin and a kraken pack. Kraken doubles their cost, but drop in something like 50 shards of a new character (fennic or bad batch for example) in the last few days. Dump some serious Zetas in there, 20. Relic 8 gear (5 or 10) Dolphin pack halves the cost, but still has some good stuff at the end. Highly needed gear, shards for new characters, but only 10 or so. Zetas also 10. They really don't know how to market their own game. They overprice these packs so that dolphins and f2p won't buy them, but don't give good enough rewards for most whales to buy them.

I will probably buy the first pass+ to help red crate the first run. That will give me a month to build a Smuggler team that will make it possible for free... I don't like it, but I will probably need the extra leeway with energy/Stam Regen for conquest 10

Thank you! Not much of a secret for getting credits. Most importantly, be sure to have a low gear scoundrel team to do the Credit Heist and only spend credits when you absolutely need to. If you overspend, you will run into a credit crunch problem. EDIT: Also, login everyday, do your dailies, daily challenges etc..

It’s been a while sense I was a beginner player but I remember not being able to advance because of the lack of Credits I would get. Those extra 500k credits would’ve went a long way for me. But again the beginning of the game has changed immensely sense I was there

Look at Clash of Clan gold pass , it's something like 6 $ canadian and you get a lot of stuff all month long. Then there's this 30 $ pass for a 2 weeks event that doesn't give a lot. CG is in full greed mode

Do we know, is the $10 conquest pass retroactive like the Rocket Pass is in Rocket League? Like if I max out conquest and determine the rewards are worth it, then I can buy the pass and get all of the rewards?

It appears that particular pass you can wait and evaluate at the end of the two weeks to see if you made it far enough to get some value out of it. They did not 100% confirmed but I am assuming it follows how other passes work in other games.
