Is the Decked Drawer System Worth The Money??

This is the exact set up I’m running in the gladiator. Decked and smartcap. Nothing better. The best part is, you just get different boxes for different situations. Work, put the tools in. Hunting, put the hunting boxes in. Camping, put the camp stuff in. It’s awesome

I'm the same as John Smith below. Have the gladiator overland/high altitude eco diesel (the torque and towing is to kill for, and the gas mileage - damn. traded in my Jk and best decision I could make) 2.5 lift 37's. put the fox dual racing shocks with separate reserves put a one inch spacer on the back to help level out the weight as I also tow a boat or my mobile sport & adventure club. The reason I mention the spacer and shocks is weight carried you mentioned and towing. I cant believe the difference in shocks - amazing, and the spacer levels everything out with weight and tow. I have the decked system, the smart cap, and IKamper mini. Use the large side of deck for fly fishing rods, spinners, bait casters, Tenkara, and all fishing gear plus outdoor gear like headlamps, binoculars, etc. Small side is the boxes that I trade out like John such as camping kitchen, tools box etc. added locks for one more step of security to slow the guy down. I have refer mount just like yours screwed the same way with drop slide. I use it for business as well guys but I'm the lucky one as my business is a huge archery club, fishing school & guide service and outdoor youth adventure and education program , and besides my brick and mortar I have a mobile trailer sports club that I pull behind the gladiator. I am going to now get the Chateau class C 25 motor home for long trips, base camp, and small group outings (can seatbelt my son and 4 friends and me), and tow the gladiator, or a sizable boat. Only class C that can tow 8,000 Lb not just 5000. Just for anyone who may be interested. I'm 61 with a 13 year old son so long extended trips park the RV for a base camp, and go crazy exploring with Gladiator and fully set up and stocked to go over landing or off the beaten path on side trips for a day or a couple days away from the RV. I can retire and travel this way when my kid goes to college and Tenkara fish every little micro stream I can find this side of the Rockies and then the other side if I live that long. Would love to know what you've done suspension wise. Finally got my 2021 pro and likely DIY Decked this season and add the RSI before next season and dreading the sag haha. As a fellow family camper loving your content.

I had a decked system in my long bed Tacoma for a year or so.. I found their was a lot of wasted space. So I sold it and bought two Alu-box’s which holds everything I stored in the decked system but takes up about 20% of the space.

My truck set up is almost identical to yours I’m just wondering if you’ve added anything to your suspension I’m getting very close to maxing out the weight load of my truck considering it is less than 1000 pounds I’m pretty sure yours is more than that and I’m wondering if you’ve added a leaf to your rear suspension.

What brand and fridge are you running on that fridge slide? I’m curious cause it broke my heart to take apart my Decked drawer and stored it in my garage. Because my Drop down Easy slide fridge and Dometic CFX-75 will not clear my camper shell. I had no choice but to build my own drawer at a height of 10”. By any chance, can you give me a measurement of “height” from the top bed of your Decked drawer to the top of your RSI Cap? I’m just curious about if I switched out my Leer camper shell for a RSI cap and put my Decked drawer back on , I wonder if my fridge and slide will clear.

I like your setup. That's what I like to do mine, question where did you get the table and bracket to fit under the smart top. Great set up thank you maybe mine will look like that when I get done. Be safe

What tire size are you running?

Would there be room for a large dog kennel between the deck and the roof of the toper ?

Did you just glue the carpet to the decked system?
