Great video. Only criticism: you could’ve stood to go into more detail about your set up. Ok sorry, I’m a smart ass. I inherited it from my dad rip😁 Seriously EXCELLENT review and thanks for helping me make up my mind on pulling the trigger on outfitting my truck with this system 👍🏻👊🏻 😎
It would be smart for decked to be forward looking... and add on to this...with van shelving/tool boxes.. like Milwaukee packout .. have a hand cart that the boxes can snap into place..
Good review man, I was debating on getting a hardtop or this. It’s also going to suck, I have the full tower packout if I get that I won’t be using it anymore 😩 maybe just the roller. But I definitely don’t like people eyeballing the huge packout In the back of my truck.

Hey M.O.G.D. What generation is this system? Does it keep your gear dry? How do you get to the stuff deep in the draw? I just got a 2024 Ram 3500 and I'm looking for a similar type of system
Growing up I never was very organized. But you're absolutely right when it comes to organization it can increase your efficiency ten fold. The other thing I've found is maintaining stock replenishment for every job. I Hated not having the right parts on site and I had to leave and go get it. Maintaining stock replenishment daily has completely eliminated that issue.
Props man, I really like your set up. I have one on the way.And you really gave me really good ideas. And really like the screw driver holder you made! Great job on your video. Also made in the 🇺🇸 USA
I’m thinking about getting one of these and then getting a canopy and putting a mattress over it for camping trips/over landing. Do you guys know of any products that are specifically made for sleeping in the back of a truck? Thanks
lol that was exactly how it was when I was with my last company.. I just about lost my mind looking for crap in the back of the truck. I just purchased one today for my company ! I look forward to getting it.
Hi,i really like your instalation with Tesla battery's. May I ask you something? My house is running last 4 years only on electricity (3x inverter(airco's) only one is using like a heater in cold periods in living room)(the rest 4 rooms are heated with infrared panels-the best solution what a ever had)...and totally energy year used is around 9000 kw....can your instalation keep up with my year consumption ?I am handy guy and always like a new challenge ,what I never done before. But the idea be off grid ,be powered only from sollar or wind is exciting. But my problem is space, because I live in Holland, tini house with 50 m2 garden...we have plenty of wind whole year and sun too...but is worthy?windturbine..noise for neighbours?what is instalation costs?thanks Chris
I like the storage drawer system, but I love your truck. I have an old 2002 Dodge Ram 2500 4X4 5.9 Turbo Diesel with over 200 thousand miles on it and it just won't die.
Thanks for the video Bud. I'm a carpenter. My back seats are folded up and full of tool boxes plus a tool box in the bed. My saws and stands are above the bed now anyway. I'm pulling the trigger.
I got Decked system for my 6’6” GMC bed. Total disappointment. Drawer extends less than 42” with 30” underneath. Basically, the Decked system wastes 50% of bed storage. I’m trying to return it. It is well built and seems quality. The way it is designed makes it useless.
@@GarageSaleMonster it needs to be redesigned. Overall, it is a good unit. Just lots of wasted space. Extension ratio stinks. Decked should come with unlimited chiropractic visits.
I don’t use my truck for construction/work. But I surf/foil and camp a lot. These storage boxes would actually fit some of my boards and the various tools and accessories I need for the. Along with camping stuff and hell, that tray could act like a little cooler if you need. One hell of a product. I was looking into a tonneau cover but this looks much better as it provides organization and a cover. Then I could easily add a rack and the possibilities are endless.
Awesome system. Couldn’t someone just get in the cab of your truck and press the unlock button and now have access to all your tools? Either break the window or wedge the door and pop it. I would still use the locking mechanisms
I’ll bed getting the bed slide combo, along with a canopy. I often have 20k worth of hunting and fishing gear, coolers and such. My hope is that it will keep my valuables safe and sound, no more cramming it all into the back seat !!!
Great review thanks. Did you not install certain parts ? Bottom bracket that that wheels on bed sit behind. Ss bottle opener joining bracket. Top ss grind plate at front top of deck ?
@@andrewpettener9716 The counter leaver point is the end of the tail gate. That means 50% of the draw could be sticking over the tailgate before it starts to drop. Plus it has a fixed lid holding it down. Seems to me the physics in play allow for a lot more access than Decked has designed.
I’ve recently purchased and installed a Decked storage system after watching many reviews. None of them mentioned any problems with the ammo can lids, but there seems to be a design flaw with them. Mine only have tabs on two of the four sides and blow off when going thru the car wash. Anybody else had this problem?
Nice truck set up , I took over my grandfather home stead property horse farm in seaside oregon coast, 100 year old farm , got new RU-vid channel name faraway farm , got 1 vid kinda started

Cool system, my question is do the drawers take up all the bed space or do we sacrifice some space in order for the drawers not to be too heavy when opened?
So is the only way to ratchet strap something down with the decked system in, is to install hooks on the top of the bed? There are no hook points on top of the unit itself?
You can buy pieces of strut from decked, and mount them to the top, and there special tie downs that mount in the strut. Or, buy your own strut (the shallower the better) and mount it. The downside to this? He couldn't slide his welder around as easy, as the strut would protrude from the top.
