Is the GTech Strimmer any good? Full Review here 

Thank you for a brilliant review. I have been looking for a grass strimmer and admittedly felt a bit scared of spools which this one doesnt have. I have a visual impairment and changing the blades on this looks so easy. I shall buy one now because I have a voucher to use.

Had two of these now. Both packed up after a medium amount of use. Avoid.

A good little strimmer for little jobs along the edges of the lawns , and by the flower beds very light I have had one for four years ! Great

Thanks for this video - helpful and reassuring -- I just ordered this product - fed up with battling with the wire replacement options! Like the cordless aspect too.

I have one of these and fine it very annoying as the plastic blades only last about 2 to 5minutes and they come off and you have to replace the blade. If you get anywhere near a hard edge the blade flys away.

I really like my GTech Strimmer except I find the battery is horrible to remove if you have small hands. Had to have my next door neighbour remove it for me.

I appreciate the review but one handed and leaving the battery on the unit was not the ideal way to demo. Not being a pain but accidents do happen and this unit even with the plastic blades could cause you serious damage. Looking at other comments, buy a unit for the job you want to do, if someone has a huge garden a petrol strimmer, yes that dreaded thing called petrol is the better option, for smaller areas or specific jobs this is lightweight and suitable. Reading the instructions is always a good idea and fitting the shroud properly is essential. Any problems with your unit contact Gtech.

The major complaint with this are the plastic blades. Some other reviewers pointed out they break very easily. You are saying the opposite. What are you doing the others aren’t. Considering one of these as I have just got the Gtech lawnmower and can get this as a slight discount. Thanks

Delighted you think this strimmer is good. My husband hates it, we have been through so many of the cutting blades, they just don't last. Whether its edging along the flower bed for near a rocky bit, they just break. Are we doing something wrong? Any advice would be great.

Ok if you have a perfect small lawn, in my garden id use up 10 blades each time i use it cutting around everything, string is better for me, thats ashame

My mother in law has one, but it seems slow compared to yours? The battery is fully charged but no where as near as fast as yours? Shame Really as its nice and light for her to use

So, where do you position your hand to hold it, obviously one goes on the adjustable handle, the other i'm guessing where the battery housing is . Bit uncomfortable i would have thought

I love mine too but don’t know how you get the blade to last 4 months 😂

i find putting the blade on areal struggle impossible for me to do one handed more like brut force and i have been using 1 per month on average i have a lot of G tech equipment this one I am disappointed with

Nearly wet myself laughing watching this God awful contraption in action with only one blade would for ever just to add insult it does not even throw the grass clear of the next working area
