No it’s still development. Utahs 04 team was the best team Utah has ever had. They did not have good recruiting. The next best team was in 08. Both teams were 2-3 star players.

UofA has more than tripled its Texas recruiting with '25 class as BIG12 members. 3 Star players from solid TX hs playoff programs such as Cibolo Steele, Del Valle, Crosby, Forney. ASU has signed a couple TX hs football state champions for the first time, from Texas powerhouse programs Aledo and Duncanville. UU's strategy for recruiting TX '25 has NOT changed at all to this point as a BIG12 member. Lot's of TX kids getting UU offers, but almost zero commits. Top 10 TX running back Wesley Yarbrough was recruited heavily by UU, but went with UofA. UU did pickup up Pflugerville TX's Jason Stokes Jr. who went with UU over TCU, UH, LSU, UofA, TTech. However, Pflugerville is a small school, perennial TX hs basement dweller and Stokes has zero TX hs playoff experience. Maybe somewhat surprising, CU has not emphasized TX hs football recruiting. But, Deion is prioritizing the portal as he must win now. CU recruiters have been laying some groundwork in TX however. Basically, letting kids, parents and coaches from this Bible Belt state know that it is OK again for them to attend CU: Deion will look out for them. Trying to change the perception many Texans have of CU as being a Left/radicalized university.

When BYU gets Austin pay and Derek dun they’re going to destroy Utah I feel like if you talk doesn’t make a big push to get some of these kids. It’s just pathetic to be honest. But considering BYU has a lot of ties to these kids, I wouldn’t be surprised if they got both of them

BYU is not too good recruits away from beating Utah.

@@jonathanwistrcill1336byu is leaps and bounds behind Utah in recruiting and especially player development. If those guys select byu it will be for the hope of getting early playing time which won’t be guaranteed at Utah. They’ll likely also be playing for a different coach after Sitake has another sub .500 season and gets shit canned this year.
