THANK YOU for thinking of us with chronic pain/illness! I will definitely be getting the gooseneck holder/remote now for days I'm stuck in bed with pain. I don't care as much about my Kindle aesthetic (though I love seeing other people's), but the practical things, those are definitely worth it to me. Ooh! I didn't know about the emails with deals, I need that! I LOVE Libby, I use it all the time. Libby alone makes buying my Kindle worth it, honestly. Yes, I wish we could basically archive books and not see them all the time, that would be amazing! Come on, Amazon.
I adore my Paperwhite. It's one of the best purchases I've made for myself. It's so much easier on my eyes and hands. I also love that so many books can come everywhere with me.
Hi, so thankful you did this video. I’ve had the kindle ap for years and years but wanted to invest in the paperwhite… the fact that you’re still happy is fantastic. I read everyday so your review stands out and is most relatable. Will be taking note of all your advice and suggestions. Your insights were valuable. Thanks again! Happy Reading.
The kobo system does exactly the thing you wish the kindle ecosystem did with deleting things off your device but still being online! Also just fyi the grain is a feature of the color screen, not of kobos overall, just in case you do ever want to switch. Your kindle decal is so cute!
Ahh that’s good to know. If I didn’t read so many indie authors on KU, it would be really easy to switch, but it’s just not. If I did switch, the color one is what I’d be looking at. I wonder if it’s possible to adjust the grain situation. It was pretty stark in the side by side I saw.
@@AdventuresInPages unfortunately I don’t think so, I had the same question, but it’s just the limits of the color technology right now, but hopefully in the future it will improve!
You can highlight and take notes now, but if you mean in the margins, yeah I’d love that! I am excited for the day we see a color option. I’m hoping for a smoother screen look than the one Kobo came out with. The grain on it is too high and is hard to look at in my opinion.
So thanks to the StoryGraph's custom facts I was able to figure this out! From July 29, 2023 to July 29, 2024 I read 191 books and 25 or 26 of them weren't on kindle. Everything else was!
