Is the Logitech G29 worth it in 2023??? 

As long as the price is right, the G29 will always be worth it. I used one for 6 years before finally upgrading to a direct drive, and I enjoyed every second of those 6 years.

I traded my old switch (never used) for one and got a shifter for 30 bucks. Playing gran turismo 7 has been and absolute BLAST with a clutch and shifter and force feedback. Turned off all assists (I've never played this way since gt1) ...I have so much control over the car now. Awesome experience. Would recommend.

only issue with this is the force feed back feel due to its mechanism. feels not that smooth but for the price compare to the Thrustmasters wheel, its so worth it.

Im trying to get one for 200 usd including the shifte this weekend,its the latest version(white box) for ps5. Hopefully the set is working fine with no issue upon meetup

I'm just looking to race casually on FH5 and AC and so I bought a used setup with shifter and stand included for $200. At that price and everything included, it's worth it. I'm planning to tweak it a bit by removing the little rubber block in the brake pedal because I feel that the travel is too shallow, doing the M3 screw mod in the shifter to make it feel more tactile and less like a toy, and thinking of 3D printing the H shifter magnet mechanism and shift knob, total cost less than $20.

Even with very old tech inside, Logitech G29/G920 is allways been one of the best start for entry-level simracing. Point is: unless the price is getting too high, this wheel and the T248 are probably the best options untill you wanna improve your equipment and move onto DD. Normally the G29/G920 price should go no more than 200-220€ and T248 no more than 250-260€. Also the PXN v10 seems a good product, with a lot of functions, but it may suffer lack of support. Sadly the G29 will go out of production soon so ppl will gonna have to make a choice between the T248, PXN v10 and the G923 (which I don't recommend because normally the price is too much high). So, after years of simracing, yeah. I can tell that is still worth in 2023.

Have my g29 arriving in a few weeks. Got the shifter and already have a PSVR2. Without the wheel, I was already fooled into feeling like I am driving a car. So this should be pretty wild

underrated

USB problems = overloaded USB power draw. Too many high power devices plugged in. Can be an issue if you use alot of dongles and non-powered usb hubs

Tbh, G29 felt like shit to me after i got the T300RS, I got both G29 and T300RS. T300RS it's a whole new experience, much better, ffb uncomparable imo, shift knob on thrustmaster doesn't feel as good as irl because it surely doesn't have the force feedback of the gearbox/transmission, so u cant feel anything, but it's not bad. Not to mention that the T300RS pedals feel amazing. (Logitech could be way better with the brake pedal)

The price make it worth. In my region G29 is $300 (with shifter), G923 is $400 (pretty much same shit as G29) and Thrustmaster 300 RS GT is $500 without shifter. Add the fact that T300 RS GT is not reliable due to poor built quality while G29 is reliable and well built. So here's the deal. I bought g29 to replace my G27 until I jump on some DD.

I had a g25 then i had the g29 and now i did nor simrace for over a year, So Friday i ordered a Logitech G923 because i like those wheels. I want to see differents from all those wheels, And i want to see if this new Logitech g923 is really better with the trueforce. But no doubt a G29 is perfect for racing in these times
