There has definitely been a shift in focus were skincare and fragrance is explored and consumed more than make up products and techniques. It is refreshing, I love it. I finally found routines that work for me and haven't felt the need to wear make up. I just wear make up now because I enjoy the creative process of it whereas before the pandemic I couldn't imagine going out for drinks or special occasions without wearing it. Now I would go to the supermarket with a full face on just because I feel like it and to a wedding without any make up on. For me it is a much more healthy approach and I feel more confident.
You are SPOT ON about being in your 30's . I remember feeling immense pressure in my 20's to completely have my life together by the time I turned 30. Not to mention always being concerned with how other people perceived me based off my appearance. But now, at 31 I'm looking back and realizing how stupid those things were. It truly is freeing.

Girls just to give you some hope, I'm 29 turning 30 in july. I just finished my masters in February. When I was around your age I literally had a quarterlife crisis, because a lot of my friends already had finished their studies and started their careers and had already so much experience in love. And I had just started my fourth(!) try at studying because I had NO clue what I wanted to study, what I wanted to work. I felt like such a failure because I kept switching my subjects. I also started dating my boyfriend when I was 21 and I was so insecure that I always tried to sabotage everything. But I let life just guide me and started taking opportunities. I started working in the first level support in a tech department (as a student job) and somehow got to the point where I'm now the apprentice of my boss. Something I never dreamed of and suddenly I caught up to my friends or even exceeded them. Relationship still going stronger and better than ever, because I was finally secure within myself. It's never too late. You write your own story and it is an amazing story, it just has a different pacing than other's stories :)
I can so relate! since I've entered my 30s and let go of all the insecurities and negative thinking, things became so much clearer. When I was younger, I tried to live up to other's expectations not wanting to be left out or disappoint others. Then one day I realized no one really cares and I'm only disappointing myself lol. One of my favorite movies is My Name Is Khan. Such a great movie!
I totally relate with the conflict avoiding ! In my early 20s I totally was this way but as I grew and started dating and now married conflict resolution is key! Otherwise relationships don’t last. I know as a married woman now I realize how much I learned from my parents’ marriage bad conflict habits!

My dream job as a kid was to be a teacher. Then I learned that I just liked telling people what to do because I thought I was always right 😂😂 I taught for around a year in total and realised that being around tweens and teens is not as fun as I imagined but that was okay, it was important to discover that. Now I'm studying Sustainable Regional Management and I love it 💚 And I'd recommend watching the Fundamentals of Caring or rewatching Dirty Dancing. Neither are my favourites but they were the first to pop up ☺️
As a child I wanted to be a waitress and a book author - in 2021 I published my first book and I've been working at a restaurant for 4 years now, a few coworkers and I are gonna open up our own next month. So I'm really nailing it 👌🏻
Thank you for talking about your life timeline! I realized this too recently. I had this timeline set up for myself that wasn't really what I wanted. It was what society and my family wanted. In reality I'm just now finishing school at 29 and I'm not married and have no intention of having kids. I'm honestly so happy with where I'm headed. Life isn't the same for everyone and we all have different paths. What's important is that we do what feels right for us and if something isn't working have the courage to change it.

Here here to 30s being F*ING awesome!! I had a blueprint that I needed to be a director of marketing or HOM at a corporate job by the time I was 30... But instead I got myself the best birthday present ever training to become a reformer Pilates and barre instructor. I did all the training in 6 months and now I've been teaching for nearly 2.5 years. When I was 10 yrs old my dream job was to become a film maker, and I've always dreamt of being an artist that will create somthing new that no one has done before! I'm currently a pro makeup artist and an art teacher. I still do include videoghraphy, editing, and photography within my content, but I definitely want to create my own film one day and pursue the first passion I had when I was a kid. My favorite movie is Spirited Away hands down!

Starting youtube 10 year ago was awesome and very weird at the time. Investing in bitcoin 4 years ago was EVEN more weird and EVEN better than youtube, no regrets at all. I'm doing very great, and it feels awesome knowing that other youtubers (Specially Makeup RU-vidrs) like Michelle is into it.
So clearly the bitcoin as inflation hedge idea doesn't work out, and it's alarming how so many people put their life savings into these very volatile assets without understanding the risks. People easily become overconfident and confuse their past investment gains as a sign of good market intuition. Actually, it makes you more prone to making poor risk reward decisions on the forward. So, moral of the story is, if it's about money, read the fine print, do the market analysis, do some research... Truly even after years in finance even experienced investors make bad choices in hindsight. This bitcoin and overall crypto crash was on the other hand forseeable in a high inflation environment. Don't throw random predictions like this Michelle, since you have a large following, you're driving inexperienced people into something very risky, and it's heartbreaking to read on the news about people who's entire life savings evaporated from throwing their money into this.

I feel like I had to grow faster because of the pandemic. I'm in my mid 20's and I feel like what you described being 30 is what I'm experiencing today. The lockdown really made me not run away from the negative emotions anymore and made me face them, be aware and dig deeper as to why I'm feeling that way.

My dream job: I’ve always dreamed of becoming a filmmaker (short movies and music videos) but I had zero role model, as a female immigrant that barely spoke any English I could not even find out how to start on the career path so I got scared and pushed the idea away for decades chose a safe college degree path. However during the pandemic when I had some down-time I self taught myself videography, two years later I have not stopped making videos, in fact I am going to shoot my first wedding film gig this weekend!! Growing up, I always wanted to be a veterinarian. I had a crazy obsession with dogs because they are (and to this day) super cute, BUT realized with my allergies, my quality of life would not survive. Today, I am a graduate from pharmacy school! Studying for my board exam which, coincidentally, pharmacists also dispense veterinary prescriptions to said dogs and animals! My favorite movie of all time is Laputa: Castle in the Sky!
Dream job was being a museum curator. There was something about providing an experience for someone else in an artistic setting that drew me in. With the 30s talk, i relate so much to it. I really pressured myself, as if time would be running out. I also felt like 30 is being old and you have to accomplish everything. But I feel so free now. No pressure. I'm caring a lot less what other people think (more on the negative aspect)
I just started my 20s and I reassure myself not to pressure myself to attain a certain goal at a certain age, like you said, the blueprint of life that no one asked for. I just want to take off that pressure and then, live the life that I wanted in my own pace, because honestly, it can't be guaranteed that I will have a stable job, a husband, and a house by the time I hit 30. That's too much pressure and I know I will be disappointed if I have that kind of goal set for myself.

I didn’t have a dream job growing up. I graduated in 2021 with a business marketing degree and no intentions to work in the field. My fiancé is a firefighter and I realized through him (since we are so similar) that spending my life serving others sounds like a pretty dang cool job. Probably 10 years ago ish, I watched one of your videos and it hit me there that I wanted to work in the beauty industry. I was probably around 12 years old haha. As of now, I am 20 years old studying at the Savannah College of Art and Design majoring in Business of Beauty and Fragrance with a concentration on product development and customer experience. So far so good; I truly enjoy what I am doing and I cannot wait to continue to grow within the beauty industry and see what new opportunities come by. When I was a kid (nickname for child in aussie slang) I wanted to be a bio archeologists majoring in Egyptology or a vet. I found it fascinating that you could learn about a persons past just from studying them. Plus the vet part was mainly because my whole life I was surrounded by animals that I wanted to know to take care of them. Currently career is retired aka redundant but looking at a career change after working in travel. Boy that was taxing when Covid hit! For movie or tv series I went on a Brendan Fraser splurge and rewatch the mummy plus the newish tv show that he’s in doom patrol. Highly recommend!!! It’s got so much heart in it plus it’s rather obscure which makes it fascinating 🧐
Movies: "The great race" & "Some like it hot" - amazing pictures. The same genius acting tandem Tony Curtis and Jack Lemmon. Both are leaving this heart warming old-school feeling. Fantastic lead female actresses and famous songs. These movies could not be any better, humor, story, acting. My all time top two. Highly recommend
Dream job growing up was to be an actor, talent agent, or entertainment lawyer. I’m currently in investment banking on Wall Street….so not following the dream. Maybe I’ll make the jump into entertainment law. Favorite movie is the Big Short. The acting is incredible but I’m so moved by the 08’ collapse because I lived through it during HS. It baffles me to think what the banks, rating agencies, and govt were doing whilst I was wishing to be anywhere else besides in APUSH. Also, every single time I watch it, I learn something new. Every single time. It’s just completely riveting - but you have to be a finance nerd/history buff like myself to enjoy! :)

I just turned 32 in December and started my HR career about 2.5 years ago, going on 3 years next month. My dream job was to be animator and only now that I am in my 30s I decided to take it seriously, but in saying that I am also opened to do other art related jobs (My 20s was also a confusing time for me). And one of my fav movies is "Take home pay" (:
My fave series that I've watched recently are: Archive 81 (netflix), Servant (on apple tv) - both are very cerebral and trippy series. my mind is just blown by how both stories unfolded. Another series I really loved was Wentworth (netflix - story follows the inmates in an australian women's prison - each character with unique background & context - the character development for all characters was so beautiful to watch unfold).
Im almost 30 and Im enjoying my life so much... like Im not giving a F* like before and I love so much. Im growing personally so much and loving myself !
All things you said you felt in your 30s I feel that now I'm 21 all because i felt so not comfortable woth who I'm and I didn't know why, I forced myself to sit down and write EVERYTHING in my life or past and how i feel about everything then re read all of that let me tell it changed my life and the way i think truly !!! just yesterday I thought about the same exact thing that now I think i know it all but I'm so sure when time passes it only will make me learn so much more I think everyone need that spark of - oh wait i think i get it now - then the knowledge you'll get after that will never stop constantly realizing things and constantly changing for the better
I still struggle with putting myself on a timeline and having to remind myself I don’t have to live my life like everyone else. My dream job is to be a fashion designer, it still is. Right now unfortunately I have to be a little more practical but I haven’t given up 😌

It didn't matter). I found a loophole and worked for a company in Sales that supplied to all the big Fashionbrands. I recently switch jobs and did a fast course in Software engineering. Now I am launching my dream job by learning from the best in Tech.
my dream is to become a fashion designer and I'm doing it, but it's super stressful and long hours. I hate it so much. my dream is to work in a luxury brand, but now I don't know what to do because I love fashion, but doing it as a job tortures me and I can't enjoy it. I want to quit, but then I don't know what else I can do to make money. I need money now. I try to apply other jobs, but people ignore me because I don't have related experience.
During the quarantine, I realized a lot of things. This is maybe due to the fact that my mind is free from things that I didn't know were distracting me from what was real before. This is the reason why I have let go the people who I feel are only using me, I am more confident and matured now and I don't give f*s anymore.
i think i really dont have a dream job yet, but i hope i will be able to find it and about my favorite movie, its your name, and honestly is only because of my personal attachment with it, but if you look deeply into the soundtrack and its details, the movie is 1000% more enjoyble and sentimental :DD
I am not currently doing my dream job yet as an energy healer on a full-time basis. I am currently working through a plan of transitioning out of my full-time corporate job. As for the TV show... Once Upon a Time tv series by Disney. Great characters and storytelling. There are also a lot of embedded spiritual growth themes covered.
I didn’t have a dream job when I was young, my answer was always, “to help people”. Now I’ve worked in non profit my whole life so I guess I “achieved” that goal.
Took awhile, but I graduated in 2018 with an Elementary Education degree and have been a public school teacher since then. Even though it's been such a challenging two years teaching through a pandemic, I have such a wonderful group of students this year that reminds me why I love being a teacher. It is exhausting doing everything else though lol I recently got back into anime, rewatched Kimi ni Todoke, and updating on Demon Slayer and AOT every week, but Ranking of Kings has been AMAZING, definitely a sleeper anime and I hope it gets more recognition because I'd hate for it to only have one season :')
My dream job is to be an interior designer. I am currently in school for it, at 26 years old. I am not currently doing it, however I am applying for jobs to get my foot into the door. My favorite movie has to be Kiki's Delivery Service. I grew up with anime movies and that one holds a soft spot in my heart :)
