Olivier Awards presenter Hannah Waddingham has made headlines for hitting back at a photographer who appears to have asked her to 'show some leg!' during the red carpet of the event.

You can't say show leg to a person in that context. it's not so hard to understand. It's simply unpolite and it has never been a nice thing to say, even in the past.

What a dramatic overreaction 😲 Why wear a slit full length dress to expose some leg then ???? There are photos of her happily posing on the internet showing a leg or legs, so it was not an unreasonable request imo.

If that photographer had been with her in a studio, while she was wearing a beautiful dress, slit to the thigh, and was asked to show the dress had a slit to the thigh, would she have been so offended. He didn’t say show us some leg. I believe he said, show me leg, maybe English not first language. Could be a fashion house/magazine.
