First time that I have watched one of your reviews Sid, good work mate. I ordered my RS3 saloon at 10am on the first day build slots were available - didn’t have a price and couldn’t spec it. None of that mattered, I knew I wanted one. I specced it as soon as I could and went for the Vorsprung in Kyalami green (I’m old and wanted lots of trick/ comfort bits and a Pan roof), I waited almost 12 months for the car. If you order one now, realistically, you are looking at closer to 2 years - possibly even longer given current world events. Even then, my dealer told me, you might not actually get one - due to manufacturing limitations and demand (caused by great reviews like this). I have been lucky enough to have some pretty sporty cars, but, this one is just in a different league given all that it can do. They are not cheap I agree, but this RS3 is truly epic. I just wish I could have specced the RS interior pack with stitching, and a few other bits, that matches the car colour - ridiculous that this is not available as an option in the UK. Anyway, subbed now and liked too.

Nicely done Sid- the best real world RS3 review I have seen. Having had previous B5/6 S4 Audis I might have to give this a look- love that 5 cyl motor and proper handling in a convenient size car.

Nice honest review.. I’ve seen other RS3 content, but Sid’s style suits his driving. Speaking of.. Where were the drifts? .. The car is equipped with a drift mode! .. A cheeky slide as most owners will do occasionally would have finished the review nicely.. Hopefully next time Sid! .. Good work though, thanks! 😀

Nice vlog........I've ordered a base model in Glacier white with RS exhaust and comfort and sound pack for a modest mid 50k. Cannot wait after owning a RS3 saloon 8v. I don't think the interior is as premium but there's more tech. Lack of a shifter is a negative as is lack of extended leather pack.

Another cracking video Sid. Love the warble of the 5-pot engine but I am just not completely sold. Numb steering feel on a £70k (!!!) car is inexcusable and tbh that price tag for a hot hatch is daft. Also the whole dash is horrendous - given that it is just graphics why not give an option for dials? Really enjoyed the content though, even if I wouldn't buy one!

2018 cupra 300 felt the best In comfort steering (personal preference) more feel to the wheel 😉 ...pure electric these days 😑

If the LC is like my S4 it’s only one tap of the TCS/ESC not a press and hold like other VW/Audi models

Is that true that there is a front limited slip differential? I haven't been able to find that officially anywhere from Audi.

I find 60-70k bonkers money for a hot hatch. Good looking cars in my opinion though but even if I had the money I'm not sure I'd part with it for one of these.

Does look nice in that colour etc 70 bag is very expensive

Former RS3 owner here. Great review. As for launch control, mine was finicky too. Trick is press the brake pedal really F'N HARD, and it will engage. I'm glad to hear the new car isn't just a super facelift, I'm really interested experience the difference in ride quality because I didn't think the 8V was bad for what it was. Comfort was a little springy, but in auto it was compliant. I really wish they hadn't overcooked the interior design and that stupid rev counter needs to go, the old one was better.

The steering looks ultra fast with less than 2 turns lock to lock.

I just picked up mine Monday. I'm still getting used to it, but it's a fun car. My biggest complaint is the lack of a legit gear shifter. I traded in a manual M2 Competition for it, so my natural position driving is with my left hand on the wheel and my right hand resting on a gear shifter, but there's just nothing there to set your hand on. I'm sure I'll get used to it.

Much prefer the previous virtual cockpit tbf

hows it compared to the new bmw m240i xdrive sid? giving the bmw is 10-20k better priced

A45s is around £57k fully loaded with pan roof etc. Its one of the only cars at the minute that’s not losing shit tonnes of money instantly. For the price and what you get, the A45s is the better option. You can’t have a pan roof if you want the nicer wheels and better flat bottomed steering wheel. And if you get the Vorsprung you get the horrible wheels and the bus steering wheel. No compromise for over £70k.

The top of range doesn't have flat bottom. That's how you tell if it's poverty spec or not.

Am I the only person who thinks that £70K is a ridiculous amount of money. Yes a nice car and I own an Audi myself the quality I'm sure is great. But no way worth that sort of money.

If I saw that in my mirror I'd floor my m3 and dust it. I had the last gen saloon rs3 on passive suspension and there was nothing wrong with suspension. Infact it was good.
