Welcome back to episode two of The State of It podcast, with your host Lewis Brackpool, talking all things politics, Culture and agendas.
In today’s episode, I would like to welcome my guest and friend, Connor Tomlinson. Connor is a writer and podcast host at LotusEaters.com. A podcast that is arguably one of the most popular political podcasts in the United Kingdom and continues to be a rising force in the UK, that talks all things news, culture, philosophy and more.
Connor is also a writer and was a co-founder and Head of Research at the British Conservation Alliance (2019-2022). He published the research paper titled, “It’s Easy Being Green”, with The Adam Smith Institute, which shaped the Nuclear Energy (Financing) Bill (2022).
He is also a political commentator for GB News and TalkTV and wrote regular columns for the Global Warming Policy Foundation, C3 Solutions Magazine, and The American Spectator. And most importantly, I consider him a dear friend.
In this podcast, Connor and I delve into the subjects of Masculinity and what does the future hold for the next generation of men? We touched on what issues hold the right of politics back from winning, dating and the manosphere movement, and dissecting polls which state that younger generations are divided on topics such as gender, dating and religion.

The male rite of passage has been eroded in modern comforts and perhaps neglect. To top it off, the modern feminism leverages anti-masculinity at that. It's wild and the species depends on masculinization of men and feminization of women. Half a million years of evolution being contested in modern comforts and debates in many areas where there never was a debate in nature, just inherent.

33:58 I go to a Catholic Church and it’s very seldom to find single women between 21-28 from where I am. Maybe Bexley has a larger Christian/Catholic population that have women in that age bracket.

Its not just the Catholic Church either, my local Orthodox Church has the congregation almost entirely made up of elderly people or people in their mid 30s who are married with kids. Church isn't necessarily a great place to meet people these days...

You are 10 times more likely in 2024 to find a christian wife on tinder and other fuck apps than you are by going to Church and other religious community functions. And the rates of a normal man getting any attention from women on these apps. *ABYSMAL.* So take that and multiply it by 10. This is what the data says. Nobody meets at Church anymore.

Guys, stop looking in churches. They're supposed to be for worship, not an alt for dating apps and proper recreational third spaces (where we arguably should be meeting our future spouses if shit worked properly).

@@Locke350 It was hearsay from Around the 2011 to maybe 2015 ish time period? (Wow how much things have changed) I can't remember who exactly said it. I wanna say that Karen herself said so to Stardusk/Thinking Ape. But I can't exactly remember who or where. Any relevant specifics. I took it at completely face value. Because XX's. If I had to guess there might be a thread on the Kiwifarms about them where that did get posted, or I'd ask around the audience of Turd Flinging Monkey if that dude is still around.

Connor, Carl, and the rest of them? They have already post hoc rationalized men getting angry as "repackaged feminism." They don't want to talk about the real issue. Because that would inevitably lead to holding women as a class responsible for their own behaviors and actions. *This is like cyanide to the conservative man.* They will never change their minds on this, because it would undermine their *egalitarian religious beliefs.* Because that's what this is. Its a religious zeal, a secular belief, not a rational belief.

Connor is very wrong about Taylor Swift. Not only is her messaging extremely liberal, Travis Kelce is a liberal as well. If a pretty blonde marrying a multi-millionaire football player is somehow conservative aesthetics, then almost all liberal women also align with that aesthetic. Most liberal women are not against marriage and kids as a fundamental rule. They are against Connor's view of how marriage and kids should work and the traditional moral order. A boss babe who has had a multitude of failed relationships, rejects every Christian moral value, both generally, and towards relationships and marriage, who also still lands a super rich high status man while herself being a boss babe who wears revealing clothing while grinding barstools singing songs about her failed relationships for millions of dollars, and yet still, in the end succeeds despite making ever mistake Connor himself would advice young women against might literally be the most common fantasy of any liberal woman in the west. If anything Taylor Swift is a message to young women to be like her - which means rejecting every value Connor has - and not only will you get the fame and fortune, you will land a top tier husband on top of it all.

Connor, the advocate of national service being pushed by the likes of GB news. He speaks sense on many things and then has a crap take on something such as national service. Like he conveniently forgets that goalposts are always moved. First it's the lazy benefit grifters, then it's those who receive benefits full stop......
