This channel is equal to a school. The teacher is knowledgable and hits the nail on the head. When I'm ready to change my unit I'll definitely contact you. Keep up the good work.
I think one should shortlist the car. Please consider reviewing the legroom, headspace, and boot capacity, and also consider taking turns with the car.
I've had the chance of driving the hybrid version and I agree on comfort. The suspension is soft and you hardly feel the bumps and it had a good pick on speed
Erick with a CK. Thank you so much for this. I have watched you guys grow daily. production team iko sawa, barikiwa.. halafu , mimi nimeshindwa kuvumilia and I have to ask...hako ka ATM slot hapo chini karibu na your right knee, husaidia what? 🤣🤣
Voted, You have amazing car reviews that are very relevant to our local market. Alafu si utuchapie reviews for luxury vehicles like the BMW X6 and Audis
Wokabi excellent review. I have one question though, in your video, 5 cars not to buy in 2022, the T-32 was second on that list and you said that beyond the overheating issues, it has a problem with the transmission solenoids. You said that the afermarket transimmison oil cooler does not fix this issue and the solenoids are rather difficult to find and that some of these imported vehicles barely made it to Voi from Mombasa. Is this still the case and what is your take on this issue afer reviewing the car?
Thank you Mr. Ambani. The xtronic CVT issue on the X-Trail is something that is almost imminent. If you are lucky and a light user of the vehicle, it will last, if you are a heavy user well some preventive maintenance will come in handy. It is not the best of gearboxes, but the vehicle is cheap as well.. for light use, it's an okay car, for heavy usage..the gearbox and the 4x4 drivetrain are likely to act up
@@CARNVERSATIONS Thanks Wokabi. I also like the price advantage that it offers especially if you land on a manual transmission. Thank you for the review. It was very very informative.
I was a Nissan fan and owner from tiida to t30 to sylphy. I can tell you comfort and handling were unmatched compared neck to neck with rivals. They were also fast. Don't be surprised by the figures you are getting from Nissan. I left after being a very good friend to mechanics
I will definitely go for Nissan Extrail. It is a worthy buy. Been thinking about it. Thanks Eric for the information, now I think am going to make a right decision.
The best review for this car will be after two years of local use not now. Between 2015 and 2022 they have had two major redesign on this model. The opportunity cost again is debatable, vumilia and raise the amounts needed for right quality ama cheza league yako if you cant afford a better subcompact SUV
When talking about crossover SUVs never ever forget about the Toyota RAV4 which was the first ever cross over SUV in the early 90s and then emulated by CRV in the late 90s. So the emergence of the others in the year 2000 going forward was as a result of the success of the two. Never ever talk about crossovers without talking about the first which is the RAV4.
Halafu wakuu, I know you have done this before, but there is a vehicle you really love, and now there are major upgrades on its earlier siblings. Honda stepwgn Spada spirit cool. Ile siku unaleta hii family car, count me in. Asante sana family
On the X-trail its only T30 that is quite durable and has value for money. The T31 also has some few issues tho the T32 has the worst Gearbox in its series and cost upto 350k to buy a new one(ex-japan).
Which one is nice or you may recommend ? ? Nissan Xtrail T31 gasoline engine QR 25, CC 2500 Manual or Nissan Xtrail T31 diesel engine M9R turbo, 6 speed CC 1990 Manual ? ?
Allow me to disagree with your comment at 28:24 on diesel T31 ,i owned one for close to 3 years and it gave me the best service ,i travelled with it allover kenya including the beaten tracks ....currently i have 2 friends with similar cars and they haven't had any issue at all ....with that said i have to say i love your content
@@CARNVERSATIONS thanks for your attention ,well the secret is having a heavy foot once in a while ...in my case often. And actually my car never did a regen but the gentleman i sold to told me it did a couple of instances
@@karisedward that is a perfect choice, but they are so rare because as kenyans we tend to not love manuals but from my dependable research and online input it has more power and torque ...I will go for that any day because there are no obvious faults owing to the manual trans
Good review, apparently I don't see the comments of the people owning it. Kwa ground things are different I have couple of friends regretting why they bought this unit (Gear BOX!!)
Erick try review on Daihatsu Mira/ Toyota pixis epoch a common car for taxi in Kenya and even for personal use, if God allows more time try again Suzuki Alto Eco, the other time you did a review on Suzuki alto Ena but now try Alto eco, looking forward to seeing the review bro
@CARNVERSATIONS Hi... i really dig your reviews. Unatupatia very valuable info which is not easy to get out there. Showroom folks will always flood u with YESes and rarely point out the flaws like that imminent cvt failure thing. Ok i've seen some rare, one in a hundred iterations of the T-31 (i have always loved the boxiness over this newer curvy figure) with MANUAL transmissions. Some even have the even more rare 6-speed manual. What is your take on that? I'm a fairly biased guy towards manual transmissions. I love the engagement & fun they give u. Do u suppose they are better than the CVT or auto?
A very good car esp for guys over 60yrs easy and practical plus good size. Looks ziko sawa pia. Outlander might be the only comparison but minus the kamulu plot.
hey wokabi i have a Nissan xtrail 2014 nt32, 3 yrs with it now running good but shocks feel worn our in morning hrs but after a drive they get normal noise disappears (mech told me ni gas zinatoa after a drive they regain.🙃) where can you advice for shock instalation and cvt service
You explain very well, when you said about putting transmission cooler, I got you now that you really know what makes transmission problems in Nissan , does this version also have overheating transmission problems as well and is it necessary to put transmission cooler? ?
I would be convinced by this car in petrol, manual configuration. Jatco cvt - never ever 😂 I like my mech but I don’t want to spend that much time under his roof.
I think hapo kwa t31 is where Xtrail got it right. T32, looks like everything else. The quashqai looks quite similar. The v design language, not such a fan. The t31 is for the are the honky tonk generation. Erick, review the t31. Fact that you owned a t30 tells me you know. Had one too.
This is the 'lost generation' of all the X-Trails. Uzuri Nissan learned their lesson after and went all in with the e-power and e-4orce tech. Those things accelerate faster than Subaru and Golf boys have time to read the nameplates.
I saw a diesel 2013 x-trail and I was asked to give more details about it but couldn't coz it was my first time. What should the owner know about the car?
i am currently in a dilemma with this vehicle. i love the size, design, comfort but mechanics were always a bit negative. using the term 'nyingi zimelala garage' this video has definitely put my mind to ease and for sure, i will be coming by your office sometime before December. Asante Erick with a CK :)
Chunga tu cvt gearbox and also spark plugs ....get original from nissan hizi za kirinyaga road and other places ni fake, mwaga cvt fluid after like 2 services and also make sure to buy from nissan it will serve you well.
The 1600cc turbo doesn't have reliability issues however at lower revs it's very sluggish. I drive a manual fwd and you sometimes have to drop 2 gears down to get that oomph or overtaking
Hi Erick thanks for your informative information on this car, just bought one yesterday and my question is where can you recommend l take it for the after market transmission cooler
I own a 2016 xtrail but i have to disagree with you @19:50. The NCAP test was done in 2014 when the model was launched. Since then, the safety test has seen quite a few improvements. Today in 2022 I would assume the car would get somewhere like 3-4 stars.
In another video you said this car is in the top 5 list of cars not to buy courtesy of solenoid issues, leave alone the overheating gearbox problem. That's enough to give me trust issues
Hi.been following you n I really like the way you dissect the cars, I have always thought if a car cost like 2m and above, I would rather consider a nice, Clean Toyota Prado 120 series, what's your take on this?
In a previous video you did on 5 things not to do in an automatic vehicle, you mentioned that the proper way to park is handbrake first then shift lever to parking..😄 today you've done opposite 😂... which is which 😂
