The ONLY reason why Mitchell performed at Easts was thanks to Cooper Cronk alongside him who basically coached him and kept him focused through a game.

Easy way to test this… go and do something stupid (or illegal) tomorrow and have a mate record it and send it to your employer. When they reply WTF, respond with “it must be your fault because you allowed me to do it” and see how far it gets you. The privilege and entitlement is unbelievable. He’s an adult.

Work out how many games he has actually played for Souths, then work out the cost per gameGr8 player on his day, but how many 'his days' have there been? Then take out the games when he has done very little. Seems a big waste of a slice of the cap to me.

When I started playing , sports in general, there was no celebration for minor game events, scoring a try , taking a wicket, scoring a century, a well done mate , and then back into it, you played for the team. Nowadays your portraying an attitude building a reputation… all to the aim of getting your personal slice of the pie, and unfortunately the way the publicity, the fandom , its all about greed they’ve got no time for role models showing them they way a Real Man Operates.

What you write is true 100% , though its shows that Latrell really doesn't care. He knows a video or picture could be taken and can be uploaded to social media yet he still does what he does. Latrell shouldn't have put himself in a situation that will cause him trouble. He knows he will get away with it like he has done over and over. Like the guys in the video said ' if it was a fringe player they would have been sacked ' .

At the end of the day LM is an adult and he is the one who makes those disgusting and idiotic decisions. The Board at Souths are complicit in as much as they turn a blind eye and make excuses for him...and the media/commentators etc are also to blame...as they are the ones who made him the 'Poster Boy' for Souths and ran titles like "Hero" and "Legend" etc etc. Sadly his massive ego thinks he can get away with anything..... Sam Burgess and a few others were pleading to be allowed to pull him into line...but the gutless men in suits let him walk.... Souths fans could see it all going pear shaped but hey we just fill the seats at games and pay yearly fee's to the club....(for now)

Sam loved the Souths club big time. To let him go in favour of Mitchell is astounding. [Russell Crowe and Sam are tight. Wonder why he didn't step in?] Allowing Burgess to walk and sacking the coach in favour of Mitchell was astoundingly stupid [I'll never understand why clubs sack a coach mid-season. See how it worked for Souths and the Eels] Letting Reynolds go, a Souths junior no less, to make room for Mitchells whopping salary, was incomprehensible. The Souths board needs to be sacked or this sh!t will continue.

The sacking of couches mid season is the death knell of the team ....but if Sam had been there we would be cheering our team right now instead of grieving for them. Yes disappointed that Russel didn't have more clout with the Board but they are a bunch of faceless suits who think only in $$$ signs. Took a big gamble on LM and lost....or should I say our Club lost.

Absolutely!! They all play hard and party just as hard.. the first time I ever saw someone do coke was in Townsville back in 06, a young Jonathan Thurston was in a pub bathroom getting stuck in. He’s revered in the games as one of the good guys! Yes he’s been great for the game, but they all do it.

@@odie9227not just the coke but performance enhancing drugs as well. It is quite obvious who is by looking at their heads. You think they grow the beards and stubble to look good. It’s for trying to conceal the abnormal bone structure. The big names, the faces of the game are let off scot free so as not to tarnish the good name of the sport. Same has been going in the horse racing industry. Coincidental Vlandys was in charge there as well.

At his best Latrell is one of the most naturally gifted players the game has ever seen. Fans need Latrell, the game needs Latrell and Souths definitely need Latrell. Maybe take the spotlight off him, take him off the sides of buses, take him OFF his promotional responsibilities, stop singling him out for interviews, let his playing do his talking, allow him some breathing space.

NRL need to start doing weekly drug test on players. Needs to be hair follicle test, urine and blood tests are pointless its out of your system within 48 hrs. yet again NRL wouldn't do that because they would lose half the players lol.

4.15 Andrew Johns trying to make some point about senior players being moved on from clubs a the backend of their careers and not there to mentor younger players. Souths have Yilleen Gordon on the books. Probably the oldest player. Presumably he is there as a role model to demonstrate a culture of professionalism. It's not rubbing off on Lattrell.

I’m a South’s supporter n have been for 40 yrs. Nobody but Latrelle has let Latrelle down. South’s haven’t done him any favours by accommodating his childish behaviour. Protected species. In my industry do dope and get sacked when tested. Be an adult you want top dollar then take the responsibility that comes with it. NRL has been protecting these tools for too long. Glad I gave up watching it and I definitely wouldn’t encourage kids to follow or play it these days. It’s no one else’s fault but his.

I only watch footy to see Latrell play. Im a soccer player. He's very good for your game even with all the dramas. Without players like him your game wouldnt get much attention. Love him or hate him; it doesnt matter. Someone's making money. Most players lack skill and confidence and are boring to watch. This guy isn't.
