nobody notices these cases are a lot worse this year? The lips expose the aluminum, theres no soft lining anymore, and the prices are a bit higher.

Yeah, unfortunately I've noticed it with the majority of accessories. Even screen protectors from zag. I put on my buddy's screen protector for his iPhone 12 and it was zag in the old style packaging it felt. It's the way of the world right now. Higher prices and less quality
