You have perfect voice for narratingas mentioned by another viewer. Made listening quite captivating and enjoyable. Loved your video!! Your user tips will be very helpful for first timers like myself since I just bought one.
I know this video is older, so you are probably expert with the Omnia now. I use one in my camper van and agree it depends on the stove and conditions. I use a butane stove and bake in the van to avoid wind/temp issues. I preheat as you did, but then use the lowest setting on the stove (hob). I have made everything from mac and cheese, to pizza, cornbread, and cakes. Texture may differ slightly from a traditional bake with some things, but it is still delicious! Happy camping.
WOW 😳 I'm so impressed. Just bought an Omnia a month ago and will use it camping in 2 weeks. I'm in Tennessee USA. Like your sign Hippies use side door. Thanks so much. I just stumbled onto your video and now I'm a NEW Sub
Thank you buddy! We haven’t had many chance to use it recently but a fantastic piece of kit to have in the van to give you a variety of meals! Let us know how you get on. 🚐🚐👍
Cheers Jesse! The omnia has been great for us, enables us to have a few more options 😁 we haven't used it extensively yet due to lack of traveling, but happy with the results we've had 👍
Flora, that was beautifully done, and the results were amazing. I could have licked the screen, it looked so good. Thank you for taking the time, and making the effort to present this excellent video. Cheers.
Lubbly jubbly! At last a recipe video, superbly shot as always. I’m so amazed that rubbery thingy didn’t melt, the marvel of silicon I guess, let’s have some more recipes in that pan, despite being snerped it looked lush ❤️❤️❤️ pasta bakes here we come please! I’m off to pick berries now, shame you live miles away I have such a glut of runner beans and courgettes Xx
Thanks Tina! Surprisingly the silicone will survive up to 260c! Can’t wait to test the Omnia out with more recipes - so many ideas! Hope you are well Tina! ❤️❤️
Hi guys, nice win with the Omnia. I've recently picked one up and I too need some practice. My cakes have turned out well but I tried making chips which were passable but hmmm yea well lol. Your brownie looked amazing btw. Have a great week, cake always makes things better in my opinion ♥️
@@FloraTheNoviceExplorers Good luck with the wedges and let me know the secret if you figure it out please, mine were ok but took me an hour n a half, lol, to get something cooked and browned on one side before I gave up, I think I had them on low for too long before I turned the heat up, hey ho, trial and error I guess. Don't really want to parboil them either, anything to avoid all that moisture in the van.
Good morning guys, At this sunny, Spanish Sunday morning, I woke up with a vanlife song idea, about a never ending vanlife song, made by all of us. In time, everybody may (be able to) add his own part(s), and combine / listen to his favorite parts. The only thing that very important to me is that the chorus (refrain, coro, refrein) will always be and stay This is a happy song About Happy moving on I'm moving on And that the text in between should be in many languages, as we all speak... Also, it feels to me as a vanlife special, when a bit of you all would be added at the right "spots", like "Hi guys", "You know what day is", "Good morning everybody", "Afternoon", "Hey guys", "Helloooo" and much more of all of you. Fine for you ? About those text, some rough thoughts Watching the sunrise, Nadar en el mar, Sun is burning, Il fait chaud, Paella on the fire, Siesta en la playa, y vamos a la cama ----- ("Hi guys") Looking outside, It's all white, Mucho viento, The heating is on, Tout mouillé par la neige, Supper in the van, And an extra blanket ------ ("Good morning everybody") Somebody's knocking, Is this a parc ?, Ser ahuyentado, Moving to another place, Que c'est beau, The blue-green lake, Et la fin d'une autre journée ----- And so on and on and on by everybodies vanlife additions I'm sure some of you can produce (many versions of) music for this happy song. And please, let's forget about money, this is about vanlife, one big family and also, winter's coming, giving us all a bit more inside van-time. Thnx, have fun, be happy and safe journeys, OnTheMove
I’ve had one of these for a while and so far I’ve baked bread with great success. It will be great to see some more recipes as I’m struggling to find any in English but I think I’m just trying out anything at the mo, next thing I’m trying is jacket spuds (small ones😂) great video👍
Great - am thinking the hole in the middle makes a huge difference as the mixture's not just one big lump - good to know it helps conserve gas on the road. Thanks for the heads up about foraging with the animals in mind - I used to just pick as much as I could - and usually end up wasting - bad girl!
Yes I imagine the hole in the middle does make a difference! Bloody hardest part of the recipe was not pouring it in the hole! 🤣🤣 I am guilty of picking as much as I could in the past too - just get a bit greedy when it’s free fodder! 🍓🍓
You might you want to add a BBQ thermometer, I have seen other people add one to their omni oven. This will give you a better gauge on the temperature of the oven.
Hello Dora, thanks for getting in touch. Since filming this video we have brought a bbq thermometer. It does give you a much better idea of the temperature. 👍👍 must admit we haven’t used it very much whilst we have been at home.
Well done guys! Loved the video, we are big fans of a gooey brownie 😍 looks awesome, we might have to get an Omnia Oven for our Van Mastersaurus Rex!! 🦖🚐👨🍳👩🍳
Had my eye on one of these for a while now but cooking times might be an issue - I've just got room for the single 4.5 KG fuel bottle and usually work to a bit of a regime! Mind you, if you reckon the brownie only really needed 15 minutes! Great vid and review. Were you thinking maybe a CookBook for a future project?
Hey Susie, yes a cook book is definitely on the cards, I’d like it to be full of unique and not so common recipes! May take a little while to create but we have had plenty of ideas, I’m looking forward to seeing it in the flesh myself! 😁🚐🍳🍳
Haha, it's an old wooden door we got from a salvage yard! Just measured it up and took a circular saw to it to create the cooker lift-up-lid. It works really well and is pretty hardy too! :D
My wife and I have been on keto for more than a year, so your recipe is unfortunately of no use to us (though it looks scrumptious), but I wanted to see you guys again and see how you're doing. 😁
Me too....I wondered if an Almond flour frangipane mix would work....there are recipes for great Almond and orange keto cakes on tinterweb. I have a Cobb grill/oven that I was thinking about trying this kind of recipe...no control over temp though🤔 Love the quality video editing btw😊
