Thank you for differentiating Oneness vs Trinitarian Pentecostals. As a trinitarian pentacostal I've have people tell me I believe in oneness and must speak in tongues to be saved which I've never heard in our church. We certainly believe in the trinity and do believe in speaking in tongues, but it is only a gift of the Holy Spirit, but by no means needed for salvation. It only only through the blood of Christ that our sins have been washed away and been made clean.

I appreciate your response and spreading awareness about this topic. I was excited to see this video pop up, as I’m very passionate about it and don’t see as many people talking about it. I do have some critiques that I hope will be taken as constructive coming from a former Oneness Pentecostal. In your section on the denial of the Trinity, I’d say you did well in representing their view and rebutting it. One aspect that was missing for me, was their view of the distinction between Jesus and the Father being a distinction between His Divinity (Father) and humanity (Jesus). They say, as all Christians do, that Jesus is fully God and fully man. Therefore, they say he would sometimes act as a man (praying, eating, limited knowledge) and sometimes as God (forgiving sins, healing, knowing peoples thoughts). This is a key part in their defence of their Oneness view and not mentioning or addressing it does leave some weak points in your rebuttal. I understand you can’t address everything in a brief video, but this is a big part of their theology. Second, your section on speaking in tongues did well to represent their view and rebut it as well. I appreciated you making sure to say that they believe that tongues is salvific “in the sense that it is a sign of salvation.” That is the fairest way of putting it while still explaining the problems with it. The only part I’d say was weaker, was saying that the tongues in Acts is different than the tongues that Oneness have. We know there are earthly languages in Acts, and I’d argue mostly earthly. But there is a case that could be made for unknown or heavenly languages from other verses in the NT. That being said, I would focus more on the fact that not everyone in Acts spoke in tongues when receiving the Holy Spirit, and that this requirement is never outlined in scripture. Lastly, I’d say the section of baptism was the weakest. I think you missed the main reason why Oneness Pentecostals are distinct from the broader Christian world in this regard. When it comes to the view that baptism is salvific, this is not uniquely Oneness. Many denominations believe in some sort of baptismal regeneration, or that baptism saves. Oneness Pentecostals believe the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit is the name of Jesus, since they see it as only one name. They believe baptizing in the name of Jesus in Acts is the fulfilment of Jesus’ instructions in Matthew 28:19. This of course ties into their view of the Trinity, and the fact that they think Jesus is the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. That is the main difference and what separates them from the rest of Christendom, and I wish you spent more time addressing and responding to that. One other thing I wanted to mention, is another big distinction is their holiness standards, and how they can be seen as salvific in some cases. These standards are not unique to Oneness, but do exist in other Holiness groups. I’m mentioning it because it’s a big part of their theology and identity. Several of these issues are addressed by Michael R. Burgos. He has a smaller channel but really good videos diving into these topics in great detail. Thanks again for talking about this, and I hope you and anyone reading this finds this comment helpful.

I'm an Apostolic Pentecostal, and on the issue of tongues, it’s more so the link to the power in the gifts of the spirit that come from it. The same goes for baptism and Peter telling the people to repent and be baptized in Jesus name, although I do think if you plan to thoroughly live out your life in Christ you should be baptized in Jesus' name as said in Acts 2:38. As to where is says “ye shall receive power after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you.” Why anyone wouldn’t want spiritual power is beyond me.

I think the part where the apostolic church believes you are not born again or saved until you speak in tounges is the issue. As a former apostolic I still believe in those gifts but the biggest issue for me was the plan of salvation. The theology really starts to split from the Bible at that point. Salvation is not by faith in Christ alone but by a sign that needs to be heard by others in most cases.

Can you explain these? Colossians 2:8-11 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power: John 14:6-11 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him. Philip saith unto him, Lord, show us the Father, and it sufficeth us. Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Show us the Father? Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works. Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works' sake. - - - >Isaiah 9:6 “For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.”

How would you explain these verses in light of the ones you mentioned? “John to the seven churches that are in Asia: Grace to you and peace from him who is and who was and who is to come, and from the seven spirits who are before his throne, and from Jesus Christ the faithful witness, the firstborn of the dead, and the ruler of kings on earth. To him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by his blood and made us a kingdom, priests to his God and Father, to him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.” ‭‭Revelation‬ ‭1‬:‭4‬-‭6‬ ‭ESV‬‬ ““I saw in the night visions, and behold, with the clouds of heaven there came one like a son of man, and he came to the Ancient of Days and was presented before him. And to him was given dominion and glory and a kingdom, that all peoples, nations, and languages should serve him; his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom one that shall not be destroyed.” ‭‭Daniel‬ ‭7‬:‭13‬-‭14‬ ‭ESV‬‬

Why is the Angel in Revelation saying Jesus, by his blood, made us priests to his (Jesus’) God and Father? How can Jesus, who has already resurrected and ascended to heaven, have a father if he is the Father? Why is Daniel seeing two divine persons in his vision?
@Stonewater12345
@Stonewater12345 2 месяца назад
Would also appreciate your thoughts on the below. Why is God calling the Son the Lord? Why would God make a distinction in the first place if the Son is the Father? “For to which of the angels did God ever say, “You are my Son, today I have begotten you”? Or again, “I will be to him a father, and he shall be to me a son”? And again, when he brings the firstborn into the world, he says, “Let all God’s angels worship him.” But of the Son he says, “Your throne, O God, is forever and ever, the scepter of uprightness is the scepter of your kingdom. And, “You, Lord, laid the foundation of the earth in the beginning, and the heavens are the work of your hands;” ‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭1‬:‭5‬-‭6‬, ‭8‬, ‭10‬ ‭ESV‬‬

Hello Oneness Pentecoastal here. 1. 1 Timothy 2:5 does not prove a distinction of persons because it specifies the MAN Christ Jesus. Jesus Christ was not only fully a man but fully God. According to 2 Corinthians 5:19, God was in Christ Jesus, reconciling the world unto Himself. Clearly there is a distinction between humanity and deity in the person of Jesus Christ. This is not deity to deity distinction. As for John 17:3, the entire context of it is that Jesus is praying. According to Hebrews 5:7, Jesus Christ prayed in the days of His flesh. He did not pray eternally as a second person of the Trinity; only in the flesh. This is because He was still fully man and had to do all things a man should do as a creation of God. The body was created, but the Spirit of Christ, which is the Spirit of God according to Romans 8, was eternal. Therefore, this is not deity praying to deity but humanity praying to deity. Otherwise, Jesus Christ is a lesser god and subordinate to the Father, and this is not what the Bible teaches. The next 2 verses align with 1 Peter 1:18-21, wherein it was already foreordained before the existence of the world. Since God is outside of time, I don't see how it is wrong to say that He could see Himself manifesting in the flesh to save humanity. He knew that men would fall to sin and so He already had the perfect plan to save us. Through the Son, he created the world. We can't say that there was a Son apart from the Father during creation, for the Old Testament proclaims that one individual Being created us, who is YHWH our Father. Malachi 2:10. Jesus wasn't crucified literally, nor begotten before creation, or did the man Jesus exist to have glory before creation. God by definition does not need to pray, and so Jesus spoke as a man. For the two witnesses, this does not testify to a Trinity. First of all, if a person holds that the two witnesses were separate persons in a trinity, he would need to explain why Jesus did not clarify that there were three (Father, Son, Holy Spirit) for the law asked for three if possible. The two witnesses were the Spirit of God and the man Christ, and both testified that He was God in the flesh. Not distinct persons. He then proceeded to say that He is the I am of the Old Testament in the later verses. The Bible not only says that we have one God, but that God is one. 2. Baptism of the Holy Spirit is accompanied by the initial sign of tongues. Mark 16:17. There are 5 historical accounts of receiving the Holy Spirit in the NT, 3 of which describe speaking in tongues as the initial evidence of receiving the Spirit. Tongues are implicit in the other two accounts. In Acts 8 there was an unnamed miraculous sign that indicated the exact moment the Samaritans received the Spirit. Paul described his experience in Acts 9 without an exact description, however in Corinthians 14 he said he spoke in tongues often. 3. We do not say that Matthew 28:19 is invalid. This is wrong and whoever said that does not understand why we baptize in the name of Jesus Christ. Jesus commanded the disciples to baptize in one name, therefore one being. Jesus literally means Jehovah-saves, or He is our Salvation. According to Zechariah 14:9, that name of God would be one. The Apostles understood what Jesus meant when He said to baptize in the name of the FATHER, SON, and HOLY SPIRIT. The name is Jesus Christ, as implied in the other Gospels wherein one of them said to proclaim His name while preaching repentance. The name is Jesus Christ, and Matthew himself endorsed this by standing with Peter during Acts 2:38. (i'd also like to note that there is no Scripture that says the Apostles baptized in the word for word Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. They did all things in Jesus name) The work of baptism does not save you (because it is by the shedding of the blood that wee are saved), it is what leads you to be baptized is what saves. This is obedience. If you truly believe and put your faith in Jesus Christ, you will obey His word. 1 Peter 3:20-21 20 Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water. 21 The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ:

The title "Everlasting Father" does not mean that Jesus is God the Father, one of the persons in the Trinity. Rather, it highlights the fatherly, caring, and protective nature of Jesus, similar to how he displays motherly qualities in other passages of Scripture. For example, in Matthew 23:37, Jesus says, "O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the city that kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to it! How often would I have gathered your children together as a hen gathers her brood under her wings, and you were not willing!" Here, Jesus compares himself to a mother hen, showcasing his nurturing and protective nature. So "Everlasting Father" in Isaiah is a title that reflects these characteristics, emphasizing his eternal care and leadership over his people, rather than equating him with God the Father.

Ryan. How do you respond to 1 Corinthians 14:2? Does not say that speaking in tongues is a language that man cannot understand it? It’s not likely Spanish or Hebrew because these languages can be understood by humans. As we see in 1 Corinthians 14, speaking in tongues requires a profetic word from God so the church knows what’s is about it. Note the text doesn’t say to bring a translator to church so it can be correctly interpreted. In case of Acts 2, the Holy Spirit is the one who interpreted and revealed the meaning of the words spoken by the people. What do you think?

@NeedGodnet
@NeedGodnet 2 месяца назад
I've found reading the whole of 1 Corinthians 14 helps with understanding verse 2. Paul is saying that if no one interprets the tongue (human language) you’re speaking, then truly only God understands it (since he knows all languages), and so he’s saying it’s not useful to the church, so the person should be quiet. The spiritual gifts were to build up the church, but if a tongue is not being interpreted (as in, no one understands that language), then it doesn’t help the church.
@NeedGodnet
@NeedGodnet 2 месяца назад
Also, the Bible doesn't say we can speak in the tongues of angels in 1 Cor 13:1, instead he is giving an argument that even if you could do that but have not love, it's worthless. So he's giving it as a hyperbole. Just like verse 2 is "And if I ... understand all mysteries and all knowledge ... but have not love, I am nothing." It's just another hyperbole to show the importance of having love.

I used to be in their cult. There’s a lot more than just three problems, though the things you listed are among them. In my last year in the cult, they told me that the “God Jesus” (the Father) and the “Man Jesus” (the Son) are separate beings, in practice denying the Deity of Jesus Christ though they fanatically claim to believe that Jesus is God. It’s unclear where the Holy Ghost fit in all this. So while they do deny the Trinity and are indeed heretics, the common charge of Modalism is not 100% accurate; what they tried to teach me is closer to Nestorianism. This may have been a pocket in the cult: despite my also having been a heretic, I couldn’t in good conscience deny that the Man Jesus and the God Jesus are the same person and being. Perhaps the real Jesus had never fully let go of me (I grew up Baptist and then joined the Oneness cult in college). Shortly after getting saved, and that out of the cult, I embraced the Doctrine of the Trinity. Believing in the Trinity, though it cannot be fully understood by human reasoning, is essential to understanding who Jesus Christ is; and understanding who Jesus is, is essential to understanding what Jesus did for us on the Cross, taking punishment for our sins after having lived a perfectly righteous life on our behalf. And this is sufficient to save us, Jesus and what he did in his own Person alone, without us.

I think the modern Christian church gets the baptism thing wrong in general. I see no where in scripture that indicates it's a public declaration for others. The scriptures seem to indicate it's a declaration to God that we wish to die to self and live for him. Romans 6:1-4 (we are baptized into his death, and are dead to our sin) and 1 Peter 3:21 (We are declaring our trust in His Provision, and our commitment to it). But yes, seems clear it's an act of obedience after salvation, not before. Thoughts?

For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God: for no man understandeth him; howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries. 1 Corinthians 14:2 In the law it is written, With men of other tongues and stammering lips will I speak unto this people; and yet for all that will they not hear me, saith the Lord. 1 Corinthians 14:21 Wherefore tongues are for a sign, not to them that believe, but to them that believe not: but prophesying serveth not for them that believe not, but for them which believe. 1 Corinthians 14:22 27 If any man speak in an unknown tongue, let it be by two, or at the most by three, and that by course; and let one interpret. 28 But if there be no interpreter, let him keep silence in the church; and let him speak to himself, and to God. 29 Let the prophets speak two or three, and let the other judge. 30 If any thing be revealed to another that sitteth by, let the first hold his peace. 31 For ye may all prophesy one by one, that all may learn, and all may be comforted. 32 And the spirits of the prophets are subject to the prophets. 33 For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints. 1 Corinthians 14:27-33

This is brilliant, love your work! I'm going to use the argument against baptism as leading TO salvation (rather than as a proclamation of salvation), in talking to some Anglican friends who believe that someone who was "baptised" as a child (without fully understanding what it was), but that no longer attends church and lives in a life of blatant sin, is not saved because they don't have saving faith in Jesus Christ. So many people in Australia say "I was raised Catholic".... yeah nah, your parents made you go to a Roman Catholic church... going to church doesn't make you saved, and neither do the sacraments and all the other strange traditions Romans and Orthodox do. By.... faith... alone.

This trinity conversation confuses me. My understanding: 3sides of the same triangle.They are 3 iterations of the same divinity; separate but one. "...With the glory I had with you before the world" ....the world having being separated from God by sin, the Son must come into, away from his oneness with the Father. Only the Father knows the time Jesus will return; again because he is separated at the time. Yeah? No?Once restored to heaven and oneness would be logical he knows then? Thoughts?

[5] You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart❤, with all your soul, and with all your strength. 1 Corinthians 10:1-2,4 Moreover, brethren, I do not want you to be unaware that all our fathers were under the cloud, all PASSED THROUGH the SEA, [2] all were BAPTIZED into Moses in the cloud and in the sea, [4] and all drank the same spiritual drink. For they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them, and that Rock was Christ. You see all the Israelites were BAPTIZED through the sea. God is One. He Has THREE 3 distinct Natures. ONE GOD existing in three coequal, coeternal, consubstantial divine ONENESS. This is The GOD of Abraham, Issac and Jacob. The Holy Spirit of GOD isn't a person? It is The Spirit that proceeds from GOD which teaches us All His Truths and dwells in us! GOD took form and walked amongst us (John 1:14), this is Yeshua (Jesus) also known as The begotten (one of a kind /unique) Son of GOD. This shows The FATHER and SON sharing in The COEQUALNESS OF GODLINESS. That's our GOD. He then GIVES us His Holy Spirit to LEAD us in our walk to HIM.

Just seeking understanding here... 0:54 so if "they" say Jesus is all three, who is claiming there are multiple gods then? One denies the Father by denying the Son, noone comes to the Father except through Him, and if the Holy Spirit is of God and from God, and the 3 are one, why is this such an offense? It just seem slighlty incorrect.... maybe? but it doesnt appear "anti Christ..." really. Thoughts?

Jesus is God and is all. That includes mediator, your father, your savior. The idea that the creator of tiniest sub atomic particle to the vast universe its self, cannot pull this off without being 3 persons - is to over simplify in mere human terms. I am not 100% on board with the Oneness Pentecostal's idea of salvation, however their views on the trinity is undeniably biblical from the Old through the New Testament!

I found your video interesting, but also misinformed. I am unable to respond to every point in the fullest detail, gallons of ink have already been spilled in such a cause, therefore, I will endeavor to answer briefly (for me) a handful of your points, as I am at work, I will be addressing these in the order in which they arrive to my mind, and hopefully in a cohesive order. 1) Our doctinal statements on the Godhead are far more nuanced than the very simplistic statement made, "They just say that Jesus is the Father." This is a line that appears in some of our songs, but those are not songs of nuanced theology. There exists older music that is doctrinally richer. John 1:1-4, 9-14, 10:30-33, 14:9-10; I Timothy 3:16; and Hebrews 1:1-4 are just a few of the verses that identify Jesus with the Father as we also say, but we also understand that Jesus was the name given to Him in His humanity and by which He was known among men, which is why Acts states, "Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved." (Acts 4:12) Additionally, we do not conflate the differing manifestations that God has provided. For instance, we would never say that the Father died for our sins, because God is a Spirit and can not be slain. We would say that the Son of man or Son of God died, which is Scripturally accurate. 2) You stated that we believe that a person msust speak in tongues to be saved. This again paints too broadly. We do believe that having the Holy Ghost is required to be saved and live the Christian life of continual growth in sanctification and perfection. We do say that speaking in tongues is the INITIAL evidence, but we do not believe it by any means to be the ONLY evidence. The fruit of the Spirit, the foresaking of sin, and good works are the more enduring and rewarding evidence of salvation. Touching on another point you made, we recognize different purposes for tongues. The first is as the sign of the initial infilling of the Holy Ghost, the second as the Spirit making intercession on our behalf, third is personal edification, and fourth to edify the body in conjuction with the gift of the interpretation of tongues. While there are some that teach that tongues may also be angelic or "heavenly" in nature, this is NOT the prevailing understanding as applied to most tongues, and it is believed that most if not all the time it will be in a human language, though it might not necessarily be a currently living language as God is not limited by such things. 3) You falsely portray that we set adide the words of Christ in Matthew 28:19. This would place the entirety of the Book of Acts against Jesus and Scripture at variance with Scripture. As we have seen before, Oneness Pentecostals teach Colossians 2:9, "For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily." means that Jesus is the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost in One. Thus being baptized in the Name of Jesus according in obedience to Acts 2:38 is obeying the command of Jesus. As is stated in Acts 4:12, "Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved." It is for this reason also that we do not believe that salvation is a mere work that is being done on the part of the human participants, but rather as is said in Acts 2:38, our sins are remitted in baptism, which is an act belinging only to God. For us the order of baptism and the infilling of the Holy Ghost is not particularly relevant as we see both orders occur in Scripture. There is much more to say, but time draws short and I must be going.
@raphaelfeneje486

Speaking in tongues is not required for salvation, however speaking in tongues is not limted to foreign languages alone. Acts doesn't tell us that it's limited to one language. That tongues at the time was a sign. Paul said speaking in the tongues can't be understood by any man. You're using a descriptive text to make it prescriptive. Seeing that people understood tongues in Acts, then that follows that Paul wasn't talking about that kind of tongues. 1Cor.14.2 For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God: for no man understandeth him; howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries.

@@kalopezinohio that was for the jews, Israel. There was a partial fulfillment of the prophecy from Joel.. but the Jews as a nation rejected Israel for the last time in Acts 7 when Stephen was stoned. The Jews had a chance up until that time to receive the kingdom of heaven / Jesus Christ and there would have been an earthly, physical, literal Kingdom of heaven on Earth.. the millennial rain would have happened right then for a 1000 years but since they rejected there's a church age.. which is a parenthetical time.. and then at the end of the church age the church will be raptured and Jacob's trouble / the tribulation / Daniel 70th week will come upon Israel and the whole world. That's when the rest of that stuff will happen like as far as the sun going black.. and the signs in heaven. Anywhere in the Bible where someone spoke in tongues, an unbelieving jewish present and God used signed gifts for the Jews because the Bible says that the Jews require a sign in Greek seek after wisdom. God used signs to confirm his word only for the Jews. Remember in the gospels he told them not to go even to the Samaritans but only to the Jews at first.. and then as the Jews rejected then they started turn into half jews, and then eventually gentiles. The church age was never spoken of in Old testament prophecy.. that's why Paul was saved later and became the apostle to the gentiles. The gospels through the book of Acts was a transitional time of God going from the nation of Israel to the church and there are things that happened in that time that don't happen anymore. Friend please go find a good Independent Baptist Church that preaches the King James bible, where they love God and love people.. and where they emphasize soul winning and discipleship, and Bible doctrine. Eat the word, Jesus said, drink His Blood Jesus said. Yet His words are Spirit and Life. The Holy Spirit is the essence of The Word. And you definitely feel the Holy Spirit. Jesus said that The Comforter, The Spirit of the Truth will teach you. Put your trust in God only, not in man. Search and you will find. Know and it will be open to you. Ask and you will be given. According to the Trinity doctrine, the Son is NOT the Holy Spirit or the Father, but they are all three God. However, Isaiah tells us different…. Isaiah 9:6 - For to us a child is born, to us a SON is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Who is the Wonderful Counselor? John 15:26: When the Counselor comes, the One I will send to you from the Father-the Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father-He will testify about Me. This verse poses a problem for the Trinity doctrine because it not only refers to the Holy Spirit as the Counselor, and the Son is also called Wonderful Counselor in Isiah 9:6, but it also claims that this “spirit "is coming from the Father. How can the Trinity doctrine claim that the Son is NOT the Holy Spirit or the Father, the Holy Spirit is NOT the Father or Son, and the Father is NOT the Holy Spirit or Son? Now let’s look to see if Jesus was ever called God. In John 20:28 Thomas calls Jesus Lord and God. How about everlasting Father? Jesus says in John 14:9 "if you've seen me, you've seen the Father" How about Prince of Peace? Mechzidek is called the King of Peace in Hebrews 7:2 and Jesus is called the Prince of Peace in Isaiah 9:6. Hebrews 7:3 goes on to say that Mechzidek is without father or mother, without genealogy, without beginning of days or end of life, resembling the SON of God, he remains a priest forever. I encourage everyone to read chapter 7, it is an amazing read. My point is that in Isaiah 9:6 the Son (Jesus) will be called: Wonderful Counselor + John 15:26 = Prophecy Fulfilled Mighty God + John 20:28 = Prophecy Fulfilled Everlasting Father + John 14:9 = Prophecy Fulfilled Prince of Peace + Hebrews 7 = Prophecy Fulfilled

There is baptism before profession of faith in the Bible though. In acts 16 and acts 18 there are multiple cases where The apostles would baptize entire families and households. This would logically include young children, infants, and the mentally incapacitated. Which is backed up by acts 16:31 which states that one persons faith can save them and their entire household. Acts 16:15: "She was baptized, with her household" Acts 16:33: "He was baptized at once, with all his family" Acts 18:8: "Crispus, the ruler of the synagogue, believed in the Lord, together with all his household; and many of the Corinthians hearing Paul believed and were baptized" 1 Corinthians 1:16: "I did baptize also the household of Steph'anas"

i'm disappointed you lump oneness pentacostals with jw's and mormons, considering trinitarian churches everywhere in america rent out services to Hispanic oneness congregations all the time, and not only in america, but in mexico, millions of trinitarians sing songs composed by oneness christians in their daily services, even catholics sing our songs too., they are some of the most popular songs among latin american christians around the world. and we always get along when our services meet, not a single trinitarian sings jw songs, or mormon songs in their church, because most trinitarians aren't putting us in that category, but there is an uprising in this attack of oneness happening more and more, the church fathers like ignatious and irenaes called Jesus the father and spirit, even tirtulian admits in one of his letters, that the onenes view was the majority from the very beginning, and hardly anyone believed in his view of God.

There is something wrong with all denominations. There are none in the kingdom of God. If you call yourself anything other than a born again Christian you are a liar and thief and a robber. There is one lord, one faith , one baptism and one father of all.

You don’t understand Oneness. You’re not explaining it correctly. The Trinity is an add on. It was added in 325 AD by the Council of Nicaea. When you speak of Persons in the Godhead then there are 3 distinct persons ( humans) If God was already in a human form then why would He send His Son to die for us when he could do it himself ? He has no form, He is Spirit. He takes on any form He wants. He is omnipresent. And that’s why He is in Christ and everywhere else at the same time. Our God is an awesome God !

The trinity was not an addon and was of course believed by Christians before Nicea. The Council of Nicea is just a clarification of what Christians believed as a reference to rule out heresies like for example at the time Arianism. As for the trinity, it is explicitly found in Scripture in many instances in the New Testament. And that is the whole reasons we can be Christians and be forgiven. It’s because God himself in the person of Jesus died for our sins and suffered the pain. Jesus was fully human and fully God and that is why he was able to pay for our sins

And also persons does not mean human. The trinity does not mean the Father takes form of the Son somehow and ceases to be God, but rather that The Father, Son, and Spirit are all FULLY God and not “forms” of God or “parts” of God
