I was raised Baptist and I will never forget the battle I went through with the devil over the oneness of God. How precious to me the day that God gave me the revelation of the oneness of the Godhead. I will never forget that day. I got it like Paul in Galatians 1:12 but, by the revelation of Jesus Christ. Praise God I came of 6 different trinitarian churches in the first year and a half in my search for truth. That was from the beginning of 1984 to mid 1985 the Baptists church was one of them in late 1985 is when... God directed me to a United Penecostal church where I got baptized and recieved the Holy Ghost. And still living for the Lord and loving my Journey with Jesus.

I'm a Jamaican and fan of Ian Bowen the presenter). He might have seemed to get into debate mode, but here's some key insights. He is a Jamaican and, being well aware of the Jamaican passion and interest for dramatic entertainment and friendly drama, he usually shows he enthusiasm and passion in a way that most locals can easily relate to. No one ever leaves his talks feeling (or showing) displeasure. This programme has been the only one of its kind in Jamaica, and since Ian's passing some years ago, there has been nothing to replace it, nor anyone to carry on his unique way of engaging his guests. He was well loved by Jamaicans and highly regarded in his field. We have truly lost a gem in this man.

It's like in the Greek Heis Theos means one God, it is a masculine one not hen, h e n which would be a plural one as in unity, Heis the masculine one means as in one person one numeric. It never shows up as a plurality in God.

Good point. Brother Bernard knows his scriptures so well he never gets flustered. Another man (not nearly as wonderful and Christ-like as Brother Bernard) who is good at this is Milton Friedman. He actually smiles like the Cheshire Cat when people say ignorant things to him. Ha ha ha.
@Boomerbysea No, you can tell he's not interrupting on purpose, and he is engaging himself, but it's still annoying. Plus, he must surely cause people to lose their trains of thought with constant interruptions. He needs to be more disciplined and wait for a natural break to ask his follow up questions/make his follow up points.
Ian Boyne who conducted this interview, never came to the truth. He died as a binitarian with the belief that God eternally exist as two persons, Father and Son, and that the Holy Spirit is the active force of the Father and the Son. Many oneness believers have presented the truth to Mr. Boyne. In my first discussion with him, he even had a oneness book authored by Pastor Robert Sabin, and in later years he used a oneness book written by Bishop Bernard, and in his teaching, attempted to contradict the truth in the book. He has been exposed to the truth, and apparently never saw it. Ian Boyne died outside of the truth, is in the hands of a just God. Thank God for ministers like Bishop Bernard, who are driven with the zeal for the truth.
That's awesome! I knew this doctrine was true when I spoke in tongues. I didn't even know what it was, nor had I learned about it yet in scripture. It was like in John 9:25 He answered and said, Whether he be a sinner or no, I know not: one thing I know, that, whereas I was blind, now I see. I was ignorant to scripture but all I knew is that when I spoke in this tongues that most denominations deny, I instantly knew it was true. Going back to simplicity, Believe in Him, Repent of our sins, Be baptized into the body through His name, Recieve His Spirit. To me, this is the foundation/beginning of being a Christian. Then let's testify to God's power and glory in our lives, make disciples and build our spiritual foundation on Jesus Christ, the Rock of our salvation. Most Trinitarians get really upset when you tell them that everything points to Jesus. If you're a Christian, why would you get upset at the name of Jesus? This always boggled my mind.

Ahh yes I love David Bernard hear, standing up to the monster who have these theology degrees using there language to help them understand this truth. I have found the way in which these men speak is hard to understand at times and refute Bernard does it so well here and I am blessed by this so much. My thoughts are put so much in word when I have thought of the problems of the trinity and in fact they are real problems! I am very blessed to have grown up in this faith of oneness, I have firm teachings that I can bring men and women too in which show the oneness. I see a lot trinity believers get really get stuck on Elohim reference in the unction of the verb used afterward. I am going to have really study these things to get the whole understanding of some of the different Greek and Hebrew to be able to truly stand firm I am thinking of a deep study on this subject I may aswell buy his oneness book! God bless Bernard always knew that my faith was true but I am growing of age in which I want to stand on my faith and help and teach others to turn to the Lord in faith.

A question I would have for the Trinitarians: If there are 3 distinct persons and the Bible declares that the Holy Spirit overshadowed Mary and she conceived and Jesus was born, wouldn't that make Him the Father?!!! I've often wondered the same question, Sister Strouse. According to Trinitarian theology, Jesus is the Son of God, or God the Son in some interpretations. However, the Bible tells us that it was indeed the Holy Ghost that overshadowed Mary and spoke Jesus as a baby inside her womb. If Trinitarian theology were true, would this not technically make Jesus the Son of the Holy Ghost?
The Holy Ghost is not another "distinct" person, but God in action. The Holy Ghost is the power of God in peoples lives.... it is Jesus working with a believer Mark 16:19-20 "So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God. And they went forth, and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen."

I admire Brother Bernard and his patience with explaining this One God Truth. I've seen others discuss Oneness with naysayers, but they very rarely maintain an outward representation of Godliness and genuine respectfulness to those countering them. In all these videos circling RU-vid where Brother Bernard is involved, he is always the most contained and calm of the pair conversing. Even here, the host of Religious Hard Talk continuously interrupts Brother Bernard, and doesn't come close to his calmness and respectfulness.

My mother(God rest her soul) she believed that LORD is the higher Lord, and Lord is the weaker or lesser in power Lord. When I hear my mother tell me something like this at the time I thought she was telling me the truth. But now with much study over 37 years have learned that LORD is the name of God in the Old Testament, and Lord is His kingship to his creation. Therefore LORD and Lord is the same Lord. LORD is His name, and Lord is His title.

The host was extemely biased instead of objectively playing the role of the host. To allow the guest to explain his stance on the view. Reading aloud verses while the guest is explaining is amateur and left any hope of any explanation of the oneness position on a disadvantageous angle. Belief of Oneness: Jesus is God in the flesh as a complete human being, Being called Son Of God according to the incarnation/birth who has not prexisted as a seperate person but in the Logos/Word of God who created all things.

The Oneness is like Water. Fill a glass with water. Then the manifestation of ice. You boil that same water and you get steam. The Water - Father. Ice - Jesus. Steam - Holy Ghost. 3 manifestations of water but it’s ALL still water! And what’s it’s name? H20! What’s the name above all other names? The name of the Father? The name of the Son and the name of the Holy Ghost? JESUS!
If you're going to say that "Jesus" is the name of the Father, then you're blurring the lines between human and divine. The name Jesus is a normal human name that was the name of other people in Scripture and is not the name of the eternal God. The name of God in Scripture, that he declared to be his name forever, is YHWH (Jehovah). "Jesus" is the name of the man born of Mary.
I have read most of the comments and I find that we must give the host credit. 1. It is his show, he is a trinitarian. He has a right to question Dr. Bernard. 2. He does a great job reiterating where they are in the discussion because he had to take station breaks and commercial breaks 3. The hosts style of reasoning may be directly related to the Jamaican way of reasoning through a topic. He even said “I am not debating”. 4. Dr. Bernard through the Holy Ghost treated this situation as though it is a bible study. He allowed the host to present objections to his position. 5. Unlike many Trinitarians the host conceded when Dr. Bernard gave a good answer or argument. He even suggested that the listener read Bernard’s books.6. The host seems to be almost persuaded concerning baptism. He was at least open to considering being rebaptised. 7. Daniel Ajoum - Jesus said before Abraham was I am. Jesus is God, even the OT proves that. Jesus was fully man and fully God at the same time (1 Timothy 3:16). God is a Spirit, the LORD is that Spirit. God is one person named Jesus Christ, the LORD God Almighty of heaven and earth who beside him there is no Saviour, and that one singular God is triune in his nature. He is Father, Word and Holy Ghost. The Bible literally says it in Galatians 4:6 the Spirit of HIS SON is in our hearts because he said in John 14:18 that he will not leave you comfortless, 👉👉 I WILL COME TO YOU 👈👈. In John 14:16 he said that the Father will send the comforter. That’s because Jesus is the Father (Isaiah 9:6). That is who my God is, and there is none likened unto him. Christ is the Godhead, He is our Father and our Redeemer. Colossians 2:9, Revelation 1:8, Isaiah 63:16. He is triune in the sense that we are based on Genesis 1:26, we are body, soul and spirit, he is Father, Word and Holy Ghost. The three are one because they are each other, just like my trichotomy is the one person of me. One Spirit, one Lord, One God and Father of all in Ephesians 4:4-6. That is NOT one essence, that is one person as we see in Daniel 7 and many other verses. Hebrews 1:1-3 is a good start. You have the invisible God who spake in time past and the Son who has declared him. The one on the throne in Daniel 7 and Revelation 4 will tell us who the Lamb his Son Jesus Christ is declaring. Who is on the throne will tell us whom the Son is the express image of. The Ancient of days in Daniel 7:9-10 on the throne who has the Son of man coming in the clouds to him is the Father. That one on the throne has the 👉exact👈 same description as the Son of man himself in Revelation 1:13-16. Because they are both the same person, the same God, the one God and Father of all. "Well, that's because he is the express image of his person!" Amen! Who is that, though? Who is God in Hebrews 1:1 whom the Son is declaring? The God who spake in times past. 2 Samuel 23:2-3 says Christ is the one Spirit of the LORD, the ROCK of Israel, the God who spake through David the prophet and all the prophets of the Old Testament. 👉👉Therefore👈👈 please get this, Christ is the God of Hebrews 1:1. Because the God of Hebrews 1:1 spake in times past. Hebrews 1:1 God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, And so, the man Christ Jesus is the express image of Christ the one and true invisible God. Hebrews 1:1-3. The Son has declared and is the express image of the one who spake in times past, that is Jesus Christ who spake in times past, therefore Jesus Christ is the one invisible Father God whom he is declaring. Therefore Jesus Christ is the Ancient of days on the throne in Daniel 7:9-10. The Catholic Orthodox Trinity that teaches our Lord is one essence with three minds and three mouths is a lie.
This verse was not in the original manuscripts. Erasmus pointed this out and said it was a major error of the Catholic Vulgate. The whole Council of Nicea was to have a committee decide the issue of Trinity vs. One God. I suggest you might look into that.
The verse is simply telling us of three record kept in heaven, one record is about the Father, second record is about His Word that Created all things and the third record is about about His Spirit or Holy Spirit. Not 3 persons but 3 written records👉 1 John 5:7
Lots of people saying that the host didn't let Bro Bernard talk...but he wasn't there preach a sermon on the oneness...he was on a show with a host that was trying to ask the hard questions that (according to trinitarians) disprove the oneness. I thought it was great! Bro Bernard wasn't frazzled or thrown off (like we would have been) it was a great discussion...especially for the Trinitarians watching.
1 Corinthians 15:28 “And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all.” Can someone explain this to me? I have many others
Jesus is a true human person born of Mary and is thus distinct from his Father. It is the Father who raised Jesus up and gave him the name above every name. What does this mean? When Jesus was walking this earth, he didn't have a name and authority above all others. God gave this to him when he ascended. God is currently putting all things under his feet. Every knee will bow and confess that Jesus is Lord. Thus "Lord" is the position above all others that the Father gave to him. And according to 1 Corinthians 15:27, God himself is excepted from this, because he was the one who put all things under him. This is paralleled by the story of Joseph reining in Egypt, that only with regard to the throne was the Pharaoh greater. And at the end, Jesus will deliver everything back to his Father and be subject to the Father, that God may be all in all. This is perfectly in line with there being only one divine person. If Jesus is a second eternally divine person, passages like 1 Corinthians 15 don't make sense.
