Good points made. For an amateur filmmaker the GH5 is a great option for the price and leaves wallet room for lenses, lights and whatever else budget wise for making a short film. The features are still great enough for what one would want to do.
We use the GH5 and the GH5II, in fact getting more GH5II’s for our productions because they are so incredibly capable. BBC journalist, Industry Film Productions, plus some of the most popular YT channels with six million subscribers use the GH5, it is an amateur opinion to think the camera is not professional enough. Professional is defined by the people using a camera, not the camera itself… 🤔
@@superzero4250 For professionals or not, my opinion was firmly placed from the viewpoint of the amateur hobbyist film maker and how this older camera can deliver fantastic value and features. More so, how this camera's pricing has gone down and as a result, leaves more budget room for other necessary purchases in which to drive a quality project. Many people seek to obtain the most recent feature sets available in new cameras and get caught on the cutting edge while something like the GH5 provides well and is cost effective. This sort of messaging. I like your comment reply which further demonstrates the value of the GH5 from apparently the professional side of things.

I like the way they review £2,000/£3,000 cameras and lens's then go on and on about its Vlogging capabilities 😂🤣... something my crappy old phone will do just as well.
Great camera. The GH6 is not so good IBIS is sometimes not as good with some focales and the AF is useless in Open Gate. The sensor coating of the GH6 is better so colors are great most of the time but I stil prefer my GH5.
