I just replayed the movie game not too long ago. It's not bad, but it definitely would need a remake rather than a remaster. The game itself is actually pretty short and a lot of the levels, especially the driving and slide levels, are re-used for a good majority of the game's challenges.

Yeah $39.99 is a lot but the game does look pretty fun and it is definitely something different. What they’ve been doing for other SpongeBob games

Was actually looking forward to this, but at $40, I'll probably just wait for a sale and pick up just sparking zero. Game just doesn't look to have enough meat to carry it for very long. Great review.

We've accepted $60-$70 USD as the standard price for dark, gritty and/or military games, but we all seem to think $40 USD is too much for a light, cartoony game. Are we biased by the aesthetics, perhaps? I would rather play this than another tiresome Call of Duty retread. Don't get me wrong, I'm waiting for a sale, but only because I know sales are inevitable. If I knew it would always be this price, I would buy it right now and spend the rest of the day playing it. Looks right up my alley. :)

I would love to buy it but the game uses AI in some of its voice cast and AI generation - and I have my personal stances against use of AI in such ways, especially with how companies use it. But glad to know you enjoyed it!!

Sure, using AI is kind of scummy but it shouldn't diminish the work that actual people put into it's development. It's clearer a low budget game, so I'm okay with it.
