Kinda reminds me of Nutnfancy's "compact it ain't". The PX4 is like the HK P2000- ahead of it time but it tends to fly under the radar for most people.
its a full size for what it is I would describe it as a cross between the idea of difference with the lenghts of a 92 centurion and a compact with a full grip awesome gun I thought how ugly but I wanted to check one out bought a PX 4 40 used wow great trigger pull its best feature the way it brings down mussle flip making follow shots more accurate enjoy
It is a 4 inch barrel. But the rotating barrel system uses a lot of space. This is why the subcompact has a 3 inch tilting barrel and the compact uses the roating barrel and is rated at 3.2 inches. Yet if you put them next to eachother you will see the compact is a bit longer than the .2 Inches in barrel. The tilting barrel is a little more space efficient. I'd image the full size px4 is likly the legth of many pistols sporting a 4.2 to 4.5 inch barrel.
The sig p229 is not exactly a compact version of the sig p226 the sig p228 is rather. The p229 was one of the first guns designed around the higher pressure .40s&w and somewhat more strongly build than the p226 and p228. The p229 came in versions for various calibers including .357 sig and 9mm. If I recall correctly the p229 became the de facto replacement of the p228 with it's 9mm versions when the p228 was discontinued. Love your channel btw. The PX4 G-SD is going to be part of my carry rotation. I still need some more mags because I just have the four and I shoot this gun at the range and competition practice so I need more mags. It's not a bad carry option. The grip is a little long and can be uncomfortable when sitting in the car for an hour. Otherwise, it fits nicely in an IWB holster.
If it's Glock 19 sized, it's a compact. If it's Glock 45 or 17 sized, it's a full-size. If it's smaller than a G19 then it's a subcompact. That's the way I see it, at least.
