My husband and I stayed here August 2021. It was wonderful! We are wanting to go back soon. The alcohol is included also and they stock the refrigerator in your room with soft drinks, bottled water and local beer.
We really enjoyed it and will probably go there again, either on a day pass or for a weekend. Thanks for watching. Be sure to subscribe as we plan on adding many many more videos.
Brooklyn girl here(loved your Crown Heights reference-accurate!), transplanted to Miami Beach. Heading to this Riu in a month, thanks for the fantastic video!
I wasn’t sure if I would want to stay at this resort or not until I saw this video. Thank you! 😊 By the way,I’m from NYC as well 😙🗽 I already knew you were a New Yorker before you even mentioned working in Crown Heights. Your accent gave it away
Really appreciate the updated review. I visited this property about 10 years ago, and the property next door was ruined due to a hurricane, the Riu endured, but was worse for the ware, it's nice to see they renovated it, & also I've stayed at the Riu Antilles several times before, so your comparisons were appreciated and had impact. I'm looking forward to taking my partner & I on another vacation down to the Bahamas in spring, & based on your review I feel this would be a worthy venue for us to enjoy a week or so in the Bahaman sun :) Thanks for the review! `JT
Thanks for the feedback and for watching. It means the world to us to be able to help people with their travel plans. I’ll be at Riu Palace Costa Rica in March.
Your review has inspired me to select this location for our couples trip this year 2023. I am looking forward to my stay in November! Happy retirement to you and thank you for your service. My hubby is a retired police officer from East Orange, NJ.
Thank you for the kind words. We really liked it and hope you do as well! A long and healthy retirement to your husband and let me know if I can help in any way!
Glad I saw this. Heading to this one later this month. Stayed at Antillas last year and was a little disappointed because of the construction going on.
Thanks for this review. I've stayed here a few times but it was before the reno's and changes, so it was great to see the addition of another pool. Thanks for sharing! PS I think I have the same Osmo!
When I was alone in the Bahamas and the kids were gone I swim to Paradise Island before it was built. It looks like about 50 ft deep maybe more but at the bottom are all kinds of sea snakes and later I found out they come to the surface to get air.
Just found your channel, love the video and subscribed :) You mentioned that you went to this resort on a day pass while visiting Nassau on a cruise. I'd love to hear the details of the day pass booking.
Thank you for the tour! Appreciated! Looking forward to your other reviews… some advice, pls invest in the audio… perhaps a clear microphone :). Following!
im actually contemplating this or the warwick for 25 , my only drawback was your saying it was a public beach, which makes me wonder what it is like at night are these vendors in the way when the sun starts setting or at night ? how is the food quality and are you allowed to take it to the beach ?
The good we had was excellent and I don’t think there are any restrictions about bringing it to beach. I don’t think the vendors will block sunset views but they are annoying. Most beaches in Nassau are public.
HI thank you for your review. THe beach is beautiful. How was the food at the restaurants? Are there any restaurants close by at walking distance or not to far to take a taxi. what are your top 3 resorts in Bahamas?
Hi. The food we had, jerk chicken was amazing. We were there for the day so we didn’t sample anything else although the buffet looked amazing. As far as a “top 3” that is very subjective and based on likes and budget. For us, Riu for value and Sandals Royal Bahamian if we are spending more. Atlantis is great for families but bring an armored car of money for the restaurants. And there are off site restaurants near the Riu. It’s actually right next door to Atlantis.
Thinking about doing a one day pass since I’m going on a cruise? I wanted to ask, how is the wifi? And overall how is the service, does it ever get overcrowded with people?
The wifi was excellent. Make sure it is included with your day pass. It wasnt crowded when we were there but any resort can get crowded during peak times.
It wasn’t overly loud but there wasn’t a “quiet pool” either. It’s not as large as some other resorts but a good option for Paradise Island. Thanks for watching.
Honestly there aren't many great all inclusive options in Nassau at that price range. I might consider Punta Cana....many more options and availability.
You said you were there on a day pass, what do they charge and are there any covid restrictions/qualifications if you are coming from a cruise ship? TY
