@legend of Awww Sheet ! my bad on the late response. I didn't get the notification until yesterday. Here are some ropes without bearings that I think are good: Punk Rope Basic Rope, EliteSRS Boxer 3.0, EliteSRS Pro Freestyle. I appreciate the support. Have a good one. 💪🏽
I agree 100%. I had no idea anyone with that many followers even knew who I was and am even more flabbergasted that they would spend 50 minutes talking about my channel. I'm as confused as you guys.
It was a bit weird watching him vent for a long long time about you. I am sure his 'brand' will carry on despite your review of the speed rope. Don't get me wrong I like both of you and I thoroughly recommend his legacy rope, it's an excellent rope which I think is a far better RA rope to buy. He used to be all about the skipping in his early videos, but now he consistently goes on about his 'brand'.
Hi vet, I can not believe that rushie is mad on you becouse of your review. You are straight and honest in all reviews. Rushie has great jumping tutorials but quality of his ropes ( 5 Mm ropes ) is not worth 17-18$ ( i have bought Yellow one and it broke after 2 months ). Keep doing a good job man!! Greetings from Croatia!
Toni, I appreciate you stopping by and taking the time to leave a comment. Thanks for that. I'm just as puzzled as you and the dozens of other people who have commented in the same vein on both his channel and my channel. I'm not sure why he took the time to go through with filming, editing, and publishing that video, but it's really sad. We should all feel compassion for him. I certainly do.
This is a good review, I have the Rush Athletics Speed Rope, the heavy rope (Legacy Rope) and also the RA Long handle rope (Freestyle Rope). I have been skipping for a couple years now and my ropes have lasted their whole time. I use knots and I adjust using the mechanism, it is always easy but it is doable. I skip 7 days a week, 15min-60min on a matted gym floor. I also like the fact that the ropes don’t tangle. I also have the Cross Rope Lean Set too and I use those strictly with my workouts and not so much for tricks. All in all, I love the RA line of jump ropes and apparel. Thanks for the honest review....
I share 100% your point of view. After 4 or 5 months of 5 session of 30mn per week, I broke like 5 RA ropes. Very disapointed but this rope helps me a lot to improve my style and cardio.
Buy the Epitomie fitness rope on amazon. Has a steel cable in the rope which makes it a bit heavier than RA rope. I've been using it almost everyday since November of 2019.
I thought about getting one of these because it’s marketed well by the owner but honestly it just looks like my $7 everlast rope I get at Walmart so I don’t think it’s worth the price.
Oscar, thanks for watching the review. I agree with what you said. At the end of the day, it's all about finding the rope that works best for you. If people know what this rope is, buy it, and get good results with it and they enjoy it (there are many people that have), then that's what matters. If they find a cheaper and better alternative, and it works for them (as many people have also), then that's awesome, too. Thank you again for stopping by and supporting. ✌🏾💪🏾
Khemistry - thanks for stopping by and checking out the review and the channel. Feel free to ask any questions about any of the content on the channel. To be quite honest, I'm as perplexed as you and everyone else who's made similar comments to yours. Anyway, feel free to ask any questions about any of the content. Thanks again for coming by. Take care and keep getting after it. Jump Rope to Freedom. Peace. 💪🏾✌🏾
Good review. After using 8" handles for years, small handles (5.5" or less) just don't feel right. Larger handles feel like second nature. Small handles require me to concentrate.
I think his ropes are overrated, in my opinion they look no different from the "Everlast Speed Rope" for $15 at Target. Rush is a great ambassador for the sport, but his ropes are too expensive, especially the shipping. Buddy Lee ropes are superior in terms of performance and comfort also the quality is better. The quality of Rush ropes is lack luster to say the least compared to others and this review proves it.
What's up, Anthony. I agree with all your points. I'm not sure if his 2.0 is made any differently, but I believe he embossed his name on the handles, so that's a nice improvement. Thank you for watching. JRTF. 💪🏽
Hello friend. I tried one of his ropes…honestly not even sure which one…and I hated it. Thought “man these ropes are overrated” like you. But then I used several other ropes including one from my beloved Crossrope and I came to a realization…licorice ropes in general suck…they are for light warmups, beginners, and kids. I have never had a licorice rope that felt nice to jump with or even lasted more than a few months without breaking off at the handle from the rubbing…and I’ve jumped with a lot of them. I won’t pay any more than $20 for a licorice rope…and even that is pushing the boundary. My motto is “no bearing…no buying” lol
Man I had to rewatch it as well. Here’s to upping your view count 😉 Seriously man that was an honest, real review. Way to get after it and hope this sheds some much needed light on a great channel!!! Keep grinding
PRO, I'm glad it helped. You're 100% correct about them making it sound like a state of the art rope when it really isn't. I made the mistake of ordering one of these when I first started jumping back in the summer of '18. It broke within three months and I bought another, which I shouldn't have. If people are going to buy this rope, I want them to know what they're really getting. If you want to get this exact rope for cheaper without the Rush Athletics name on it, check it out here: www.roguefitness.com/rogue-licorice-jump-ropes.
I use both crossrope and the money rope from rush athletics. Both have their place. Any non mechanised rope will take stress at the point where the rope frictions the handle. It’s part of the trade off. Also a lot depends on technique and temperature when using pvc ropes. These money ropes are great for learning moves like double under crossovers and southpaw doubles too. Easier to manipulate than a crossrope too. I’ve bought pvc ropes for £5 and they’re not the same as the money rope. There is a difference. I think I just prefer non mechanised ropes overall. I’m not suited to proper freestyle ropes either. When you watch Rushie jump rope using the money rope he is extremely smooth in the way he jumps. For £12 I’ve no problem buying 3-4 of these a year.
Hi Gary, thanks for taking the time to share your opinion. I appreciate it. I think you have some good points about mechanized/non-mechanized ropes, but I still believe that the Money Rope is far too expensive for what's delivered. There are better and cheaper options out there that will allow you to do the same tricks. The Elite SRS Boxer 3.0 and the other ropes from Buyjumpropes are good examples.
@@JumpRopeVeteran I hear you man. It’s one rope I keep going back to so I’m maybe a little biased I’m just really comfortable with it. Keep up your reviews dude they’re always very thorough 👍🏼👍🏼
Gary, thanks for your support. At the end of the end of the day, it's all about each person finding what works for them so that they can get out there and jump. If you're comfortable with it, that's what matters. Keep up the great work man.💪🏾
@@ggbrown11 hey if you love non-mechanized handles but have problem snapping from handle, then I've got solution for you. I use fit+ handles from buyjumpropes with their 5mm and 6mm reinforced cords. They don't have the problem of snapping from the handle. I also asked JRV if he had his fit+ rope snap on the handles. Even he said he didn't have such problem particularly when he is such a power user. So you may check that out.

I had to come back and rewatch this. What’s crazy to me is that there are so many versions of this rope online and Rush still claims it’s his original design. I have both this and the rouge fitness rope and they both have the same sanguine logo on the inside of the handle. Rush seems like a good guy overall but he does stuff that is shady to me. Keep up with what you’re doing I appreciate the honesty on this channel.
Late - Yes, it's very unfortunate and sad. A lot of folks who saw his video are coming back to watch this one to see what the fuss is about. The funny thing is that there's nothing here to fuss about lol. People who are expecting to see the "hate" are seeing nothing of the sort.
i bought one, i felt so shamed that I did something I knew was silly. the rope is just like any rope. it broke in two month. it will not handle cold weather any better than a 7 dollar one. any one can jump rope really well if you jump. it has nothing to do with the rope, it has everything to do with jumping.
Don't be ashamed. I bought two for myself when I first started jumping. I recommended his rope without understanding what it was. His marketing is effective.
@@JumpRopeVeteran bruh you’re out here recommending Crossrope's insanely overpriced ropes but slagging on Rush's being like $5 more than generics despite all he’s done to grow the jump rope community with his top notch tutorials lmao
For people who go through lots of ropes, a good option is Elite Jumps (no affiliation). They allow you to replace parts. The initial full rope will be about $25. Then, you can keep replacing the cable, and the cables are cheap. The handles last forever.
Pretty accurate review! Did you get the ‘performance’ version of this? Same thing but the writing is now engraved in the handles.. Definitely a rope for the warmer months. Above 20 degrees C it’s very good. Below that and it tangles like crap 😔 Also, I’ve had the same couple of ropes and they’re coming up to a year so not sure if you got a faulty one but I haven’t had a rope snap on me yet. I skip 5-6 days a week (sometimes 7 - you know the addiction!!!) for warm ups and cool downs and usually stop at 1k skips which takes around 15-20 minutes. (1k PB is 9 minutes for any number nerds lol). I definitely found mine hard wearing. I paid £28 direct from the online store (but they charge shipping) for a set with a spare rope and the EXACT same set was £7 from uncle Ali. Obviously I doubled up! Rushie has definitely done his homework with his speed ropes (all of his ropes are ace) however if he upgraded the rope material it wouldn’t be effected so much by temperature and I think it could become an even better rope. Well worth keeping in your gym bag or car or arsenal though. No doubt.
Thanks for the honest and clear review. I was looking at the rush and wondering what makes it worth £12 (U.K. viewer here) when the FXR sports rope is £3 and looks exactly the same.
Steve, I'm glad you enjoyed it. Thank you for supporting. You've asked the million dollar question. I can only speculate, but I think it's a mix of excellent marketing techniques and cultivating a movie star/celebrity image around jump rope. There's nothing wrong with that, it's just an approach.
@@JumpRopeVeteran I agree, his flashy, trying to be cool as f*** image did put me off somewhat. Anyway I have ordered the FXR rope to get the basics down and will look at investing in a better rope as i progress. Thanks for taking the time to reply.
Steve, I hear you. I guess it appeals to some people. Fortunately, we have a few channels to choose from in the jump rope space, which means we all have access to different presentation styles and information conveyance. If we don't like one channel, we can go to the next and find something that we like. It's good to have that luxury. Alright man, take care and thanks for supporting! 🙏🏾💪🏾
I've no dog in this fight but I recently bought a Money Rope and a couple of FXRs. They are not the same rope, the FXRs handles are shorter, and the rope slightly thinner. I'm not saying the Rush rope is way better, considering the price difference the FXRs do seem to be good value for money, but they're certainly different ropes.
What's good Jacko. Thanks for the respectful comment. There have been a few people who haven't been as kind and came to the channel with disrespect since he released his video last week, so I appreciate you being polite and professional. In my view, there's no fight to have a dog in and there's no need to take sides. Hopefully people don't feel like they need to choose. I'm supportive of people who follow both this channel and RA's channel, just one channel, or none of the channels. It's all good from my perspective. Thanks for stopping by and taking the time to comment.
This is such an excellent RU-vid channel! There are instructional videos, reviews of many types of ropes and interviews too. It seems like a unique channel to me, maybe there are other channels out there that do something similar, but I haven't seen them yet.
Not much to say. 200% agree with you. I have RA money rope. And i also have good pvc heavy rope. Buying at shopee with the price below £6. Value for money. Thanks for the review. Very helpful.
I'm a big fan of Rush's ropes...but after watching ur video and doing more research...I just realized that they are just generic pvc ropes...and if u already have a pair of handles...u can bulk buy just the chords from any random wholesale distributors for like 4$ each...so thanks JRV...u just helped me save a lot of money
Kraivin, I'm glad the review was helpful but I'm even more happy that you did your own research before coming to your own conclusions. Keep getting after it. JRTF. 🙏🏽
@@JumpRopeVeteran You can check Domyos JR100 jump rope on Decathlon site. It looks to me like the same quality rope like the one in the video. If not excuse and correct me. Also these types of ropes are bought from China in bulk in my opinion and they just put on some weak brand stamp that fades away in 1 week and overprice it.
Yeah I’ve tried several similarly priced ropes like Elevate Rope and it’s not my imagination, the Rush one is slightly better because the weight is like perfect
It's a business model employed by many, right or wrong. Fortunately, there are many premium dealers delivering quality that we can choose from. JRTF. 👊🏽💪🏽
You are right, this jump rope by RA is just a normal “ 5mm run of the mill” it’s probably a bulk buy from China with a name printed not engraved or etched as that would be a bit expensive but definitely a bulk buy from China, with clever marketing the price is doubled.
Can you review the money rope 2.0 if you get the chance? It seems to be better made and looks really cool but the price is higher, I want to know if it is worth it
I liked this review very much. Thank you though. Maybe you could do a review about a long handle jump rope? I´m searching for one that is not too expensive but durable.
Thank you for your support! I'm glad the review was valuable to you. I have a few long handle jump rope reviews in the queue. In the meantime, I recommend going with the EliteSRS Freestyle. It's cheap, durable, and performs well. It's the rope you see me using in most of my latest videos.
Hey Aahmed, thanks for checking out the channel. I haven't used the icon rope so I can't review it yet. If someone wants to send one to me, I'll use it and review it.
Good review. Liked the honesty. Been through many ropes in my time. My longest lasting just happened to be an addidas black and red speed rope. Last me a year and a half of intensive use. Minimally on concrete. Mostly pads and tiles.
Ropes are going to wear out and they need to be replaced. I have this money rope in red from rushie and it's not very visible, I'll probably buy the yellow one again from him next time
Ding, I hear you. Some people are getting a lot of value out of this rope though, and if they are, more power to them. It's all about using whatever motivates you to exercise. For some people, that's this rope, which is great.
Rob, thanks so much for the comment and your support. I'm glad that you follow both this channel and RA's channel and that you get value from both channels. That's what it's all about. Your idea about him coming on the podcast isn't a bad one. Others have also suggested it, and I think it could be beneficial in the future. The only trouble is the timing. I think it would be best to take some time after watching the video he released because he was clearly upset and, in turn, that upset a lot of people. RA or anyone in his camp is welcome to hit me up anytime on here, IG, FB, wherever. I'll gladly have a professional and polite conversation with him or anyone in his camp. Thanks again for your support and comment, Rob!
I bought this rope and only used it a couple of times, feels really cheap but actually cost £27 plus postage. Not value for money as far as I’m concerned.
@@JumpRopeVeteran I’ve got the Buddy Lee speed rope, the Rush Athletics rope and the Crossrope get lean set. The Crossrope 1/4lb is by far the best rope I’ve ever used. It’s a combination of a speed and weighted rope that allows you to whatever tricks you want to do and the handles allow it to go round so effortlessly without being tangled. Loved it as soon as I picked it up 👍
MPK, Crossrope has some good products. It sounds like you found the rope that'll have you jumping consistently. In the end, that's what's most important. JRTF. 💪🏾
Thank you for watching. Agreed. This design has been around for awhile, but this version of it, in my opinion, is a bit overhyped and costs too much for the value that I got.
Hey Jim, thanks for stopping by. I've never experienced problems with the handles, but I don't doubt you. I agree that the price point is too high for what you receive. The price to value just isn't there in my opinion. What happened to your handles? Where did they break?
@@JumpRopeVeteran Handles broke on the smaller handle part at the end. My ropes fly a lot because I do a lot of hand to hand transitions. 5 minutes after I opened the package. The Icon Freestyle rope is awful. Lost 4 beads within an hour.
@@mahatmaheil, wow. I'm sorry that happened. The money rope is the only RA product I've tried. Thanks for sharing your experience. If you want a good long handled rope, check out the Buddy Lee Rope Master or the EliteSRS Pro Freestyle. The EliteSRS Pro Freestyle is my favorite so far.
@@JumpRopeVeteran I have that rope too! Actually, I am more into beaded. I will probably make the switch to RXSmartGear rope when I start to learn double unders. The Buy Jump Ropes PVC ropes have indestructible handles. I also have an EliteSRS Heavy Beaded jump rope. That is the most durable rope I own.
Crossrope ropes are excellent. I've been using their ropes for a over a year now and are still in excellent condition. They are not the cheap typical rubbery or PVC type of ropes.
Which rope do you recommend that is better or similar to this rope brother??I was thinking of purchasing it but I’m pretty sure there is long lasting better ropes. Thanks for your review
Great question. You can get this exact rope without the RA name from Rogue's website for half the price. The link should be in the pinned comment and in the video description. The Punk Rope basic rope is comparable and much cheaper. This isn't a bad rope - it's just too expensive and way over-hyped. 😣
Thanks friend for the honest review. I love what Rush has meant to the jump rope community around the world, but his products just do not hold up. Had his rope and it broke within two months (I jump about 30-60 minutes daily) and had his circle mat twice and it didn’t make it through a 5 minute workout with my 4oz rope. There were holes and divets all over the mat. Thank you for being honest 👍
What's up, brother. I hope all is well. I saw your review regarding the rope and the mat. Thank you for sharing your experience and being honest as well. My experience was largely the same as yours with this rope. I thought about purchasing one of his mats when I first started jumping, but even back then, people were saying the same things you said in your review about his circular mats. Hopefully RA made it right by you. Take care and keep getting after it. JRTF. 🙏🏽💪🏽
@@JumpRopeVeteran same to you. If you ever come across the pond to England and wanna collaborate on a workout and video just let me know. You can teach me some of your tricks…lol…I actually slow your videos down in slow motion when I watch and I STILL can’t figure out how you do some of that stuff lol
Should I find myself that way, I'll certainly hit you up. If you're back in the states, give me a shout. You're too kind, sir. Most of what I'm doing is simple but done more quickly than normal as a result of drilling the moves over and over again. Building muscle memory and using lighter ropes is the key. When you move quickly, thinking can't be part of the equation or else it'll slow you down, hence, the muscle memory. I borrow a lot of the execution/style from Buddy Lee. He's my favorite jump rope sprinter.
It's much lower quality and less expensive than the Crossrope Get Lean set. A Get Lean will run you $88 USD. Out of the ropes I've tried, the Crossrope is the best in terms of quality and durability. An RA rope will run you $16.99 USD, but there's nothing special about the RA rope. You can get a rope just like it for $8 or less anywhere else. As far as which one I would buy, I'd buy the Crossrope Get Lean set before buying this rope all day long.
@@uhlsport036, agreed. Versatility is important and I get more versatility from long handle ropes. Short handle ropes definitely serve a purpose though.
@@JumpRopeVeteran i got the rope is a great rope in my oppion just like yours its a great rope good quality don't get what your problem is don't know what your problem is but I hope you a having a good day
Sean, that's great that you got the rope and even better that you're enjoying it so much. I'm glad you took the opportunity to think critically and disagree with the review. I like when people disagree with me. I hope you a great day and I thank you for stopping by the channel and watching the video. Take care.🙏🏽💪🏽✅
@@JumpRopeVeteran oh I really didn’t think about that before! I got home and it’s fine now... but this means I won’t be able to skip outside for the next 2 months 😞
I was just watching your video, are there better options? The truth is I still don't know whether to withdraw the idea of buying a PVC I literally want to jump like you with the ropes you use. I need help.
Here are two good alternatives if you're looking for PVC and speed. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-1Ok9kTkdxsk.html, ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-OGzXXlKjn8Q.html.
Watched this video again... myself as someone who loves and recommends pvc ropes, I thought this was an extremely fair review. Great channel and great content!
Not here to bash or anything but the review is honest and not to slander by any means you have your opinion like everyone else…but for Rushie to build a brand just like any other rope brand and price it because it’s worthy especially the 2.0 money rope is respectable and to be such an ambassador to jump rope is great for the community but at this day and age $20 is the new $5 I mean someone here said the everlast rope is $15 the original money rope is $20 on Amazon…is $5 more really that much more for something you took the time to build yourself? There’s a sale right now and the cheapest money I saw on there was $10 and $28 for the legacy 🤷🏾♂️ if the rope is too expensive for the common person get a cheaper rope or wait for a sale like I did and buy a rope and judge for yourself otherwise his ropes are great and so are crossropes I own both and jump rope daily still have my ropes 🙏🏾✌🏾
Never used this one, the one I use and really like are Crossrope (not being sponsored). They last on heavy usage around 2 years and they're made of metal not plastic
Great review. I was about to buy the money rope but now I understand that the quality and the price just isn't great but after discarding it from my purchase selection, now I'm curious about what good alternatives do I have I have been searching for a while now but I just can't find the light pvc rope either cheaper or better quality than the money rope. I saw that you made a video about coach Chris pvc rope and it was great but unfortunately thry are all sold out.
I wish i saw your review earlyer, my ra rope was finished in 3 months. Can you please give some alternative rope for jumping. I use my for warming and just do tricks for fun.
Kilian, I hear you. You're not the first person who has said that. Rush Athletics's videos were the first that I saw when I started jumping in 2018, so I purchased his ropes without knowing there were much better priced and more valuable ropes out there that wouldn't break after only a few months. It took me nearly a year to figure out that he was simply branding a very cheap rope and selling it at an extremely high price. Part of the reason I did this review is to try to help people who are just starting out. At least you know what to look for now. If you want a rope that'll hold up a little longer, is cheaper, and you like tricks, try to EliteSRS Pro Freestyle. All of mine have lasted much longer than the Money Rope and they perform better as well. Keep up the great work.
What's up Marcellus! Thanks for stopping by the channel. I use a regular padded gym mat right now. I'm about to go back to the Crossrope black mat though.
John, you're welcome. Thanks for watching. The EliteSRS Pro Freestyle is much better than this rope. It's cheaper, performs better, and is more versatile. Here's my review of the EliteSRS Pro Freestyle: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-1Ok9kTkdxsk.html
Nice review. I started boxing and jump rope as part of my training what rope would you recommend? I will use it mainly for beginner and some intermediate level skills and was considering getting this or the elitesrs boxer rope.
I'm glad you enjoyed it. I took some heat recently for this one, so it's good to see that people who are just checking out the channel think it's a good review. This rope here isn't bad if you're a beginner. You can get the same rope without the name that comes off a fraction of the price from Rogue's website. If you live in the U.S., shipping won't be that bad. If you live outside the U.S., check your shipping rates against what it would cost to buy one of these Money Ropes. Personally, I prefer the EliteSRS Boxer 3.0 to the RA rope. It has cord inside of the rope, which in my opinion makes it more durable and easier to maneuver. The handles on the Boxer 3.0 are just a little bit longer. As with the RA rope, the name comes right off the handles within a few days of use. I have a review on the Boxer 3.0 rope as well. You can find it here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-KvoOBJ7AHpg.html
No problem. I have to reiterate that everything I'm saying is based on my personal experience, so please remember that when you're making your purchase. Thanks again for watching and supporting!
@@JumpRopeVeteran one last thing. I saw in your review you said you got the boxer for $12 here in the UK the cheapest I can find it is about £22 do you think I should still buy or spend a bit more on a better rope like a buddy lee?
Good question. The Buddy Lee Aero Speed and Rope Master are both a little harder to control in my opinion. If you're a beginner, it's something you want to consider. If you do go for one of them and you're a beginner, try the Aero Speed. It has shorter handles and, in my opinion, is a little easier to control. At the end of the day, it may be better to go with the Money Rope since you live in the UK. I would compare prices, think about the Aero Speed vs the Money Rope, and see what you come up with. The Aero Speed is a much better rope because the parts are better and there's more hardware, but it's a little more expensive.
Would you have spent the amount of money you did on that NY baseball cap if it didn’t have the NY logo on it? It’s the basic principle of branding. It’s about belonging to something, an idea, a community. For those not interested in it, they indeed be better off getting the cheaper versions out there. For those who wish to ‘belong’ to a jump rope community like RA or jumprope dudes with the cross ropes they promote, people can go get their stuff from those places. You’re not wrong, it’s just some pvc and plastic, and if taken care of, esp on where you jump, these last for a long time. I skip mostly on smooth tile surfaces outdoors and haven’t seen any degradation of this type of rope as of yet.
I still wear the hat you referenced in the video. The NY hasn't fallen off or rubbed off in the years I've been wearing it. It has nothing to do with branding, but everything to do with craftsmanship and quality. JRTF. 💪🏽
Robert, thank you for watching and sharing. 🙏🏽💪🏽 You're right - Sanguine is a major distributor in the jump rope business. Many of the most well-known jump rope dealers buy in bulk from them and rebrand.
Hi man thank for the video 🙏 I have only a question: I recently saw that on the elite srs website there is the "do hard things set" which also has 3 different pvc cords included, do you think that is better than the money rope? I like pvc ropes but I need a generic one that is resistant and usable for tricks
Thank you for watching. I haven't tried those ropes so it's tough to make a comparison. I prefer EliteSRS ropes to RA's ropes for the most part, though.
Regarding versatility I get that you prefer long handles. However - IMHO - this rope should have the same "jumps" as the PunkRope (or visa-versa), as that has short handles as well. In all fairness:)
I think so his a a fair review. I’ve had mine for over a year and I jump everyday on mats for about 10 -15 minutes. It has not yet broke in half but where it did broke was just under the handle, several times. I was able to use the adjuster to fix it but not is a bit too short
Thank you for watching. I appreciate your support. I think that jumping with a mat is key if you want to prolong the life of this rope, similar to most PVC ropes.
I was always so confused at why Rush promotes the Money rope as the best compared to the legacy ropes when to me the legacy rope seemed way better than the money ropes even though it wouldn't be a forever rope lime the crossrope
in addition because of the cord material type (which is PVC), you can not use it in cold areas, in my city we have 3-4 month in a year at under 3-4 degree of centigrade, and will not able to doing any tricks which need swing, specially crossovers because when you crossing your arms the arc of the rope never goes to your desire shape (U shape) and you will faced with a tangle in the middle of rope which do not allow you to jump over it, so mentally you forced your self to crossing your arms more and jumping a bit higher which cause you injury and ankle pains. for peoples who love crossing it's not recommended for outdoor uses. for other tricks for example boxer jumping, again because the rope is stiff, when your rope hit and snap the ground it comes back to upward and will conflicts with your legs. but if you are gonna to use it in indoor places it's the best choice.
@@jcaral4171 The Reebox speed rope is essentially the same thing, but with better handles. They don't break. But the money rope has better color options.
Think about it like this. RUSH is giving fee RU-vid lessons. Since we don't pay for his time on YT why not support his rope ad a thank you for the free videos? People always want something for free.
Hey brother, thanks for your opinion and taking the time to watch the video. I respectfully disagree with you 100%, and will take time to make a lengthy response because your comment indicates that there may be some misunderstanding about how RU-vid works. 1. Rush Athletics' RU-vid tutorials aren't free. You may not pay for them directly, but he does make money through advertisements that you and everyone else watch on the monetized videos on his channel, just like I make money on every single monetized video I publish on this channel. The average monetized RU-vid Partner makes $7.60 per 1,000 views they receive. If you go over to Rush Athletics' channel and search for his most popular tutorial, multiply $7.60 by however many thousand views his tutorials have. You'll probably find that he's made thousands of dollars from his tutorials and the other videos in his RU-vid portfolio, and rightly so - he's put a lot of time and effort into them. However, to say that his tutorials are free in the sense that he makes no money from them and that people should thank him for his time for buying one of ropes isn't the greatest argument, and to use that argument to provide justification that people should buy an overpriced product because they aren't directly paying him for tutorials that he profits from isn't the best justification. 2. Your statement "people always want something for free" doesn't really apply here. I can't speak for everyone, but I can speak for myself. I can tell you that I wouldn't accept this rope for free from anyone after doing my research, using the product, and understanding the business practices and marketing scheme that support it. If you look at the most of the comments on this video and other videos that give an objective view about this rope, you'll see that people are voicing their discouragement about getting a product that they could've gotten for much cheaper somewhere else had they known better. Most of these people had no knowledge of how jump rope works and are drawn in by the marketing. It's only after they educate themselves and realize that this rope is an overpriced re-brand that they begin questioning their decision. Again, I can't 100% accurately speak for others, but I'd venture to say that people are genuinely upset that they paid too much for a poorly made product, not that they want that product for free. I definitely understand your thought process and where you're coming from, which is why I took the time to explain my side and why I made this video. I appreciate you sharing your views! 💪🏾✊🏾🙏🏾
@@JumpRopeVeteran and as a business owner I understand that he makes money off of his videos but how about this. People sell clothing and supplements from fitness RU-vidrs. Those supplements are the same as all the other supplements out there except for the branding. Also the clothing is way over priced not only in the industry but in fashion alone. All that to say is maybe people just like the fact that the have a "RUSH" Jumprope? Now if the lettering comes off like you said it does then that's a problem. But people do pay for labels in every industry. Anyway thanks for the link to the rogue fitness rope I'm going to try them out. I never did buy into the hype because a buddy of mine who jumps really well does it with a 5.99 dollar rope that Walmart used to sell.
Brother, my fault for assuming. I know I didn't understand RU-vid before I started posting videos. When you said his tutorials were free, I assumed you didn't know that he was making money from his tutorials. You have good points here. I think it's okay for people to purchase these ropes so long as they know what they're purchasing; however, most people have no idea that they can purchase this same rope for much cheaper somewhere else. The fact that this rope is marketed as the "most in demand speed rope" and projected as something that it's not takes advantage of people who have no idea that this rope is a cheap re-brand and nothing special. As far as the name goes, his name comes off of all of these ropes within a few days of use. I'm all about people having the information they need to make the best decision possible. It's never good when people unknowingly fall for marketing schemes that are designed to inflate a product to a status that it doesn't achieve. I know this happens every day in nearly every industry, but my hope is that reviews like mine in the jump rope space can provide people with the material they need to make an informed decision if they so choose. As I said, if people know what his rope is and want to buy it, more power to them - my fear, though, is that most people who purchase his products and products like his have no idea what they're buying.
Thank you for your Honest opinion brother I tried the Legacy rope $40 lasted about 7 months but never really felt anything special about the rope....Went over to his channel expressed my opinion that his ropes were trash and I immediately got attacked by his loyal Delusional fans lol...Now I'm Crossrope fan probably spent about $500 and bought about every rope and set they have made and to be honest I'm very satisfied and dont regret it at all.
Brother, thanks for stopping by the channel. It's my pleasure to bring you an honest review. I love jump rope and everything about it. It's brought me so much value that I feel compelled to share what I've learned with others so that they can make more informed decisions. I'm sorry that happened over at the RA page man! Crossrope is a great brand. They care about what they do and the quality of their ropes. I'm a Crossrope user and follower as well. Feel free to ask any questions and to check out the other videos on the page. There are plenty of other reviews, workouts, and tutorials. Peace!
@Brimuaythai, all good points! The RA rope isn't bad, it's just overpriced. You can get the same rope on Rogue's website for $8.49 without the RA lettering, which wears off anyway. Better freestyle options are the EliteSRS Pro Freestyle, and the Buddy Lee Aero Speed and Rope Master.
@Brimuaythai yeah completely agree the set rope sizes kind of suck on CR but I will say at the end of the day I feel nothing is special about the rush Ropes like they feel like a generic rope with RA branded I feel if RA had some special patented coating that made rope last a bit longer and no other rope had it would stand out more.
Great question. The Boxer 3.0 has shorter handles, a thicker cord, and creates a 90 degree angle where the rope meets the handle. The Pro Freestyle has longer handles and a thinner cord.
I have the RA rope and very happy with it my print on the handles are fine no problems . I’ve watched so many vids on skipping ( rope jumping ) some are great some pretty poor . But It’s all up to the individual after all it’s all about having fun and keeping fit .
Mark, that's what's up man. You hit the nail on the head. It's all about what finding what works for you. If you're getting value from the RA rope and it's helping you do your thing and stay healthy, that's what matters. Keep getting after it, my friend. 💪🏾✌🏾
@@JumpRopeVeteran I am in the USA, I can't seem to find a decent quality one of these jump ropes, most say they break pretty fast. I want something that is effective and will last at least 3 - 5 years.
PVC ropes don't normally last that long. If you want a boxing type rope that'll last for awhile, check out Rx Smart Gear. They have some durable, fast ropes.
Valentina, thank you so much for dropping by the channel and sharing your opinion. You're awesome. Keep doing what you do and keep getting after it. Jump Rope to Freedom!💪🏾
I’m glad I didn’t waste money on rush athletics rope and bought crossrope set instead. His jump rope mats are very poor quality aswell yet are premium priced (£55 which is around $75 for essentially a yoga mat)
I hear you. I thought that his products were awesome when I first started jumping. Once I schooled myself on the game and began trying other products, I realized that his products are priced too high for the quality you receive. You can get the exact same rope he sells for half the price and without his name on it (the name quickly comes off anyway) on the Rogue website. People want me to review the Iconic rope but I'm not sure I can pay $40 USD for a rope that I can get for $15 USD. I respect the work he's put in, but the products I've used of his aren't worth the price.
Thanks bro! Great review of this rope. I have just dropped some dolla on one so will be keen to see how long it lasts. What other ropes would you recommend as i love the feel of the PVC ropes but like you say the majority just snap after heavy use! PEACE !!
What's up man! Thanks for your kind words. The EliteSRS ropes stand up a bit better because of the string they put in their ropes. My favorite rope is the EliteSRS Pro Freestyle. I have a review on that rope on my channel as well. Check it out!
@@JumpRopeVeteran im doing good brother. Hope you are doing fine too. The quarantine has made a lot negatively and positively in people's lives. Positively because I've finally got time for my physical health and during this time of pandemic, jump rope has become my companion in losing weight. Luckily I already lost 16 kg since March. I am just a beginner but I am now incorporating some combo moves or trick on my routine that's why I am looking for the best speed rope and we know that the money rope is one of the most in demand that's why I've come across you review. But it is not available in our country (Philippines) so I also check your recommendation of elitesrs freestyle pro but it is also not available in our country. When I check the online stores here, this everlast speed rope is I think the best option which is available that's why I took courage to ask you. Thanks brother for recognizing. And apology for the long story 😅 keep safe during this time of pandemic.
I appreciate you tuning in. It sounds like you've made the best of this situation. Great job. Respect. That's how winning is done. Please join me for my live workouts if you haven't already. I'll be sure to check the rope out as soon as I can. Do they ship Buddy Lee products to you?
Nah but im ordering the crossrope get strong set and last week i receive one but it wasn't my size smh... So i had to send it back and now i got to wait another 2 weeks for it to come in. Which was sad because i really wanted to challenge myself with something heavy and very challenging💯💯💯💯💯🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥.
Dang, that's rough! They'll get one back to you though. I always play it safe with them and go a size up. When you get it, put the 2LB to work! It's exhausting but awesome!
Well YES and NO, Floyd did try the Rush Athletics "Money" rope in one video and that took place earlier this year. Years after his retirement from boxing. However, the yellow speed rope Floyd used to use in his training camps was manufactured by Ampro. I just searched ebay and found a UK seller. They're still available. And no, I'm not the seller. :D
@@JumpRopeVeteran No I haven't owned Ampro. I have two RA Money ropes and I don't use them. I don't rate RA highly. I have a collection of 17 different jump ropes. My favorite ropes are Crossrope 1/4 lbs, Buddy Lee Aero and Reebok Pro speed rope (can be found on ebay: "Springseil Reebok Pro Speed Rope 280 cm", seller is in Germany). The Reebok is surprisingly good, I like the feedback it gives.
Best rope I’ve ever owned, I’ve had the cheap versions of this and it’s not the same, bout rogue fitness ropes and they didn’t last even with the extensive care I take of them, had the same rush ropes for 2 years jumping everyday and still going strong.
These ropes are trash bro. He’s using a basic pvc rope and reselling it like it’s some type of god rope. I love your content bro. You smoke Rushie and give advice for better ropes.
Thank you for your support. I agree that this jump rope is marketed as something it isn't. That's why it's important that people do their research before buying. Keep getting after it. 💪🏽🔥
