I always get a bit emotional watching videos like these. Even just a year ago an S15 was just a dream that I was certain would stay a dream forever. Now I have my overpriced JDM shitbox of my dreams. 100% worth it. So many people were saying I'm crazy spending new car money for a 22 year old car and importing it from other side of the world, but honestly if I couldn't have this car, I'd rather just ride a train and bus everywhere :D

I used to have one back in the day when they were 16-20grand. They are definitely fun cars to build as theres is a massive market for aftermarket parts and alot of parts from other s and r chassis can bolt straight on and are interchangeable which makes it fun. But to buy a stock one now for 40-60k you'd be a fool.

If you try an S15 out of the blue you will think it's ok-ish and that's it. BUT if you come from S13/S14 ownership and then try an S15 your mind will be blown by how much the improvement compared to those other 2 is.
flames on stock tune is pretty cool.... guess its a combo of manifold back exhaust + blanking off the BOV.... computer is probably still injecting fuel for the expected extra air from the factory plumped in bypass valve... sick car man!
Manual boost controllers (also known as bleed valves) I thought people stopped using those in like 2008 😂 It's mad that your car is still using one. The only reason people used those back in the day was because aftermarket ecu's were very expensive and most garages didnt have a scooby do how to map them anyways. And this is why you would see people's turbo'd cars with white/grey/blue smoke coming out their exhaust as without being properly mapped they would be running rich or lean. You got a PS2 and a 6 disc CD changer in the boot as well? Maybe a Road Angel upfront?
I love everything about the s15 apart from the tail lights. I think that all the other silvia tail lights look better especially the s13 and s13 hatch.

Idc what anyone says. The S15 is probably one of nicest aggressive cars I've ever layed my eyes on. Just because alot of people are starting to own one doesn't mean it's overrated. People like what they like not cause someone else has one. People talking sh*t are probably the one that still drive their girls car
Have owned S14's for years and always wanted an S15 since high school and I must say after driving all S-chassis over the years it is by far the best. Maybe a little overratted but definiteyl a beautiful car!
I had 2 s13 and one s14...IMO they are not worth the hype compared to what you can get for the same money now days...these car were cool when you could get them for 3-5k not for 30k.
You've had the car for 6 years and your running a boost T with no tune yet you spent all that money on the giant rear wang and front bar FML no FUL. A nistune is cheap as chips! the SR20 is tough as nails but given how old they are now I would be getting the old girl tuned before paying for beauty mods.
Nissan definitely needs to come out with a new Silvia with a naturally aspirated VQ. Basically it would be a non turbo Z, using the RZ34 chassis, just a 2+2 and smooooooth looking!
This isn't in the same legue as the r34, supra, FD. (Which are all overrated, especially the supra and the r34). Nobody really cares when they see a Silvia, especially in grey. These are lower tier, like 350/370/Evo/Gc8/s2000. All cool cars but way to overpriced at the moment due to overweight internet neckbeards. The stock cars are absolutely overhyped, the platform isn't though
r34 is the ugliest skyline. prefer r32 then r33. and mk4 supra is the ugliest supra. prefer mk3 then mk2 / celica supra. but people still prefer the others because they have more power. probably same with the silvia, might not be as fast but timeless design.
i love the "put the boost up without a tune" fukn ay bro i do the same been telling myself get a tune for 2 years 😂😅 we would get so much more hp if we tuned our sr's haha farrkk
I like the s13 headlights the most. (big fan of the boxy square style). s13 hatch body style the most any tail lights except the s15 ones. s15 drivetrain.

As someone who’s had one for about 4 years. Yes it’s overrated espeically how much it costs now. Pre covid yes you could get a great S15 under 20k. Anyone who says it’s worth it now is looking at it through 2 fast 2 furious tinted glasses. Can’t really tell people that 20+ years of tech later is not as good as this

No cars worth the hype really. The hype has made the cars worth too much for no reason but hype. The cars people have should only be worth something to them. Sentimental value not hype value

I have a haltech ECU for it and some other power mods, just waiting to finish accumulating some last remaining parts and then she’ll finally get a proper tune and more power! But yes I agree I have left it quite late!
Still doesn't hold up against the R32 GTR. Had Silvia's try keep up with me on mountains and even modified ones on the straights.. silvia only 400hp but couldn't pull away from stock power.. it was even but with me slightly pulling away. I think they're cool cars but not worth the asking prices of today. Same goes for any legendary JDM car.

S13/14 became popular when drift culture started and used s13/14 are dirt cheap bcoz its gay. S15 on the other hand came out at the right time plus a 6 speed trans, a car with manual 6 speed will turn a gay car straight
r grade spec s de 289000 km in japan bid 1.55 million yen , they use to bid 1 milion yen a yr ago prices going up . spec r over 2.5 milion yen now and rgrade manual swap 2 milion yen
