As a long time Samsung user, I can say the ecosystem is better than it's ever been. Samsung products can almost always be purchased for less than Apple's too.
@@Dungeonmaster1337 To imply that Samsung doesn't make quality products is ridiculous. I've tried both. The fact is they're equal in quality. Samsung and Apple are the kings of personal tech.
@@thepriusgod, right and not at the same time. The last gen of Samsung products is ridiculous. Especially headphones. Even the CEO reacted with angriness. Don't let yourself misunderstand my words, I'm myself using s22 rn, but presenting lower prices as an advantage of Samsung's ecosystem doesn't make any sense.
@@Dungeonmaster1337 Samsung products have a wider ranges of prices (from low end to flagship. But the flagships model from Samsung are quite similar to Apple's in term of price tho cheaper and more often on discounts
I used to be in the Apple echosystem and it isn't remotely as connected as the one from Samsung, which I'm in now. Absolutely ADORE my Samsung products. Only disappointing part is their keyboards on their laptops aren't as comfortable as the ones from, say, HP. However, I'll still take it for how awesome the connection is.
As someone with a S24U, TabS9+, Watch Ultra, Smart Tags and earbuds, I consider myself pretty deep in the ecosystem and I love it. Tried iPhone last year but I missed all the options that my Samsung phone had and the phone just felt... Sluggish in comparison to my, then, S23U. Sold my 15 Pro Max and went over to the S24U and couldn't be happier! Also bought the Watch Ultra for €75. That's something that wouldn've never been possible with Apple which is a massive bummer for people in that ecosystem.
I'm buying my ecosystem now, I have a Galaxy Z Flip 5 and a Galaxy Tab S9 FE, they are so integrated, love the features, I'm thinking in buy a TV and a Galaxy Buds soon
As a long time Samsung user, I'd say confidently that the ecosystem is worth it! While, I don't have a Galaxy Book laptop, Windows Link is still pretty nifty! Also, Dex is underrated for those who don't have a PC yet! I love how the phone, watch, ring, etc interacts with one another and with Link Share and Music Share, you practically have air drop available to you
I myself already invested in Samsung ecosystem I got S21 FE, Buds 2 Pro, Watch 6 classic, and Tab S6 lite. Intersted to see what main features I may or may not already know. Edit: I love modes & routines.
In totally in Samsung's ecosystem. Lots of value and neat integrations. And it's even more valuable now that's a lot od their phones and tablets will get 5, 7 or 8 years of support and updates (take time to buy different stuff). Also I'm a happy DeX user since 2019.
I've been a big fan of the Samsung Ultra phones for several years now, as I do not see well, and use their cameras to help me see in everyday life. As such, I have also adopted other Samsung devices to round out the ecosystem. I have the Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra, the Galaxy watch ultra, and the buds 3 pro, as well as some Galaxy tags. I really enjoy the seamless way they all connect, and use similar software and apps. I also have a Samsung smart tv, soundbar, and smart range as well. It's really cool to get a notification when my oven is done preheating on my tv, or tablet or whatever device I happen to be on. Thanks for the great video!
@@TwinkleTutsiesI also like how it can show a little popup window if someone rings your video doorbell so you can instantly see the person, or if you have a camera monitoring your baby sleeping, it'll ping and show a preview of your baby when it starts waking up and moving.
I use a hybrid of Samsung and Google products at home. For my Samsung TV with Chromecast, I can use either Smart Things device control or Google TV to control and watch TV (RU-vidTV is my "cable" choice). I have a Google thermostat, which I can easily control with Google Home or Smart Things, both work fine. I also have a Yale digital front door lock, which I can control with Google Home or the Nest app. My phone is the Fold6, which I love, and the Galaxy Watch Ultra, which I also love. Samsung has really stepped up their hardware design IMO this year. Everything just looks so sleek. I am waiting for my Buds 3 Pro, can't wait to incorporate them as well. One thing I have used much is Samsung Routines, it just seems like more than I really need in terms of automation at this point. Thanks for another informative video, Mike!
Actually @MikeOBrienMedia, you don't get aptdx, snapdragon sound and other high res codecs except Ldac for samsung phones, making you dependent on ssc.
Samsung Smart TV and Smart monitor is also part of the ecosystem. It's a nice touch that my TV mutes itself when I have a call on my Samsung phone. Or that I get calendar alarm on my TV. I know this video isn't exhaustive but man, it's a big disappointment those weren't discussed.
I have a tab s9 ultra, fold 6, buds pro 3 and watch 7 and a pretty good gaming pc so I don't really need the laptop just want it to round out the ecosystem but I'll pass. I think you forgot to mention the galaxy ring doesn't have a subscription like some (or all) of the competition which might make a difference for those on the fence
Completely worth it, Galaxy Book5 Pro 360, S21 Ultra, Buds2 Pro, Tab S8, Watch6 Classic and SmartTag owner, hands down the best and most vast ecosystem full of features, only brand that can compete with Apple on the ecosystem side
Being in Australia I can never be fully in the ecosystem as Samsung don't sell any laptops here. As such, I'll never be a Samsung notes user and I suppose can't do seamless switching of audio with earbuds. Same goes for using Samsung internet :(
Seamless switching is available as part of the bluetooth spec now, most modern (non apple) earbuds should be able to do it. I dont think samsung internet actually offers anything that chrome, firefox, vivaldi, zen etc etc can do and it's also not available on pc.
Thank you for this video. I have a Samsung tablet and watch but a Pixel phone. I have been thinking about going back to Samsung and getting the S25 Ultra when it comes out in January. This video helped verify my decision.
as a complete ecosystem user, the weakest link is the laptops. 90% of the "ecosystem features" can be achieved with phone link in windows. nearly all samsung apps are installable through microsoft store. Even the notes app can be made to run on any device using a powershell script. The "Seamless earbuds switching" outright does not work in most cases. in the rare instance it works, it's terribly buggy between laptop and mobile devices. it's good between tab & mobile though.
The switching works pretty well if you have the buds 2 pro or the 3 series with a newer galaxy book, Samsung Find is the biggest reason I got the Galaxy Book it natively connects into Samsung's find network and for someone who loses his stuff often it's a must have. Also copy paste works natively with all 3 devices the book, tab and phone unlike limiting to 2 devices with phonelink. MMulticontrol is also nice. Samsung notes works better and more stable on Galaxy books. S Pen interchangeably works on 360 galaxy book, tab and any S pen compatible galaxy. Also access to Samsung pass which I rely on.
@nafeeahnaf6296 I do have the buds 2 pro and book 4 pro. It doesn't do seamlessly very well. I agree the find my is a good feature, i do not have any problem with the notes app in my pc. Same goes for copy paste working across phone, tablet and pc/book 4 pro.
Thanks for the video. I've been asking for this ecosystem video for a long time now. Most people don't know how big the Samsung ecosystem is and how well everything works together.
I've been using Samsung for the last 12 years, and the ecosystem that they've been building for the last few years, along with ONE UI, has been the top. I can say Samsung, it's at its prime.👌
I might have glossed over the part of MST but I believe MST for contactless payment with older credit card machine ended with the Gear S3 in 2017 for watches and the last Samsung phone with MST was the Note 20 Ultra in 2020. I loved the feature because some businesses I went to would say, "we don't accept Apple pay" then I would swipe my phone over their payment terminal and then it will just ring up.
I think it worth, just depends who are y , how are y into one ecosystem, I have s24, buds 3, galaxy watch active 2, even though laptop is acer , but I love samsung, even TV, even fridge and microwave , by the way Tam still a student , just obsessed with tech 💯💯🔧📱
hey, i grew up in Belmar 😊 i just bought the book 3 and dont see samsung internet preinstalled, nor is it in the microsoft store. how do i get this on my galaxy book?!
I've been a life long samsung user and I have one BIG problem with any samsung buds connecting to any samsung galaxy book. Please please please... test this. I'm telling you I get them to connect initially but any time after is like a 99% fail rate... it's been happening for generations and no one talks about if.
The vast majority of these features are available across ecosystems (screen mirroring, cross device text messaging, browser sync, password managers, multi-point Bluetooth, etc). People dislike apple because of their closed ecosystem and so they turn to android, what is the point of doing that if you are just going to lock yourself into another walled garden being run by another massive singular corporation. The answer for any ecosystem is always no, it's not worth it to limit yourself to a singular device manufacturer. Buy the best product for your particular needs.
Just bought buds 3 pro for my s23 and thinking about buing a watch. Cant decide between 4 classic or 6 classic. I just don't want to overpay for something im not gonna use.
Hi i wanna buy a new earbud but i need some help. Witch earbud is best for movie, music and daily use. Anker p40i, Soundcore space a40.liberty 4 pro. Sony wf c510. Liberty 4 nc.
I noticed using my buds3pro with Pixel 9 Pro XL watching videos the volume fades in and out if I turn my head but no issues on zfold5. Have you experienced this?
Samsung owns AKG, might not want to compete with itself, yet. No idea if they've given those products smartswitching or anything, but the brand is known for "studio quality" audio.
Too late, Lol. Got the S24 Ultra, Watch Ultra, Buds 3 Pro, and 2 Smart tag+. Although I have an iPad as my main tablet. I'm considering the Galaxy Ring though.
I pray for the day samsung makes a small galaxy tab Ultra device. Theyre just too big at the moment and makes me contemplate taking my galaxy book over the tablet since their sizes are very similar.
I like Samsung ecosystem, but I absolutely hate the artificial software locking especially with windows. Samsung notes used to work natively with windows, then they locked it.. They have a larger ecosystem, but mimicking locking like Apple would require them to actually be superior, and even then it would be annoying. Just be better naturally, don't lilit my options artificially!
I personally believes if you are using Android, you don't like the feelings of constrained in a ecosystem. That's why I found Samsung dumb for removing features for their Watches and Buds if you're not using Galaxy Phones. I'm using a S23 and I don't even buy in their ecosystem because if I know if I change the phone, the rest of the products will be missing core features. I would totally buy the Watches and Buds if they aren't losing 50% of their features outside of the phone, I bought Xiaomi Watch 2 Pro which has all the features on all Android brands, Soundcore earbuds because they works well even on iOS. I have a Galaxy Tab A9 for reading, the only time I remember it works with the phone is copy and paste or maybe Samsung Flow.
I own all Samsung and just can't buy the laptop. You can get a yoga 9i pro for way less money than the ultra. It's better in every single way. Trust me- a year old Samsung laptop is the creakiest thing you ever heard and still has a much higher incident rate of screen cracks than other brands.
You previously said the regular G7 watch was a better choice than the Ultra since it's essentially the same watch and lighter. I bought both though and use the lighter one at home and the ultra when i go out. I like having two instead of a dumb ring to record data at night too.
I don’t recommend Samsung appliances after owning several . Their TVs are ok but Lg and Sony are better. I love my Galaxy ultra phone and Buds pro but prefer to use an iPad or Hp laptop after disappointing Samsung tablets and their lackluster support after a few years. No one brand is the best at everything.
Samsung is foreign device , you can't give a real and fair assessment as a American ... Look at apple devices that depends on Samsung for parts to upgrade
My ecosystem Apple + Google + OnePlus + Windows + Mac + Linux. For any skilled power user and software engineer, sticking to any single ecosystem is just nonsense. Why hold down to a few trees on a tiny island, when countries and airplanes exist. 😅
The Galaxy Watch Ultra was the most disappointing smartwatch (and Samsung product) I have purchased in years. The UI looks like it runs at 15 fps and the battery life just isn't good. Despite the ecosystem benefits, I still prefer using the Pixel Watch 3 with my Samsung phones. It's just a better Smartwatch full stop.
I have the Galaxy Watch Ultra and my is running flawlessly. I would recommend contacting support as your Watch might not have been from a good production set
@@kwicksandz airtags search nearby is junk compared to airtags. In terms of location its decent but the frequency & precision of locations could still be improved
I have to say NO. I just returned the Edge 4 laptop, S24 phone, Watch 6, and the Tab s10+. Bought it all, tried it, and then returned it a week later. Apple simply does it better. When you add in Windows, the Samsung ecosystem dies a terrible death.
