I still have it, pre-purchased at launch date. (Europe, exynos). It works great, the battery still lasts all day with normal use, when it's really heavy use (business; I don't play games) it runs out in the late afternoon. I tell myself every year. I will buy the flagship of the current year, but I always change my mind because I don't know what I would get with the new i.e. full of unnecessary things that I don't need like AI, Circle to search, etc. I can still do everything else on the Note 20 Ultra. Is there anyone else as crazy as me ? 🙂
Hey I like to hear your experience with your note 20 ultra but may I ask something to you? Rn I need to replace my current phone but I'm very worried about the note 20 ultra green line issue specially on exynos version, and my question is do you have any advice to get a long life in using this series of notes?
I still have mine and love it. I have not upgraded because they took the SD card away. Gonna rock it until the wheels fall off. You don't mention that it has Dex and split screen capability
I love going to Winco or Home Depot and using tap to pay after they say "we don't take apple pay", and then bam it works, and I say that I don't use crap iPhones. The shocked look on their face and then apology is priceless
I bought mine from Amazon renewed in the UK and I got the US Snapdragon version in absolutely superb brand new for only £300. An absolute steal for such a fantastic device . I will keep this beast for years
My Note20 Ultra also had USB-C earphones and official protective screen glass included. The little paper thing was probably where your earphones were before.
Yes! Very much a good phone in 2024!!! It has it all very large screen good sound quality good camera pretty good battery nice and modern looking 13 and 5.1 still gets security update every other month !!! Samsung should have given this phone one more year of updates 14 and 6.1 it is good for gameing when you use Goodlock app it brings it up to 2024 standards and up date looking also charges superfast!!!Samsung Galaxy Note 20 ultra still a beast!!! Also has a S-pen. Great phone only battery not up to standard should have been 5000 but It's Ok!!! I'm still using mine love it!!!
I'd swap to my mom's Note 20 Ultra (I own a Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra) in a heartbeat if only I could find a good way to replace the screen for a reasonable price. All the people I met with Note 20 Ultras have either green lines on the screen or other display issues. My mom's phone has some white areas on all the edges of the screen when on a light background and a very faint black line from top to bottom. Both are perfectly hidden when the phone is set to dark mode or on a dark background but I'm unsure how long can they stay hidden until the display starts dying.
It's worth it if you get it at a truly low price. Might as well get an s22 ultra refurbished around $300-$350 as I've seen Notes sold for about the same price although they're the same device in performance, the 22 is improved and more recent and still supported in terms of new features.
I currently have a note 20 ultra. Want to get another but worried they're gonna offshore it and apps wont continue to update from the store. Do you think this will be an issue in the near future?
It will happen eventually probably once the phone hits the 5 years mark. I noticed it started to happen with the Note 4 and 8 hit the 4 and 5 year marks sadly.
I ordered my Note20 Ultra. I'm upgrading to it from my ugly S24 Ultra which cost me €1800 and which cannot do anything new that the Note cannot do (except raw computing power and gimmicky AI features that I didn't use even once in the past 9 months). I did have the Note20 Ultra before and I miss it.
Also last year for decent trade-in value with cell phone companies. Usually get $800 to $1000 every four years. Next year won't get that much. I just can't part with the phone. Nothing on the market comes close in regards to style, ease, EXPANDABLR MEMORY, and more. I got down to the Fold 6 and S24 Ultra. Fold 6 can't justify the price with the protection being IP48 and not IP68 especially for a phone in this price range. Also the hinge issues have been solved but the screen and it's alleged fragility still makes me nervous. S24 Ultra seems like a slightly faster note 20 ultra with better battery and no expandable storage.
